This subreddit is 9 years old. How has it changed?

I remember things like 'should women have the right to vote' still existed in topic rotations, like at the level n count is now. It's not part of RP anymore really, but back then there was a lot of threads on TRP sub, and endorsed contributors views on it making it a hot topic (and a handful of regular RP users with the view). Consent was a hot topic in general, Red Pill rallied against affirmative consent at the time, though that debate seems dead.

There were more threads on LMR, Dread, AWALT etc and defining them than the... none there are now, much of this was dropped or reduced from common RP lexicon, and are the more controversial aspects. Less Man Vs Woman, more RP vs BP, and there was still questions for BP.

Most debates against could be summed up with;

RP: Its heuristic not literal, and TRP isn't a monolith - we don't all believe what the sub people are saying.

BP: BP isn't a monolith or even a rounded concept.

Edit;

RP doesn't take political positions, it describes human sexual strategy.

Sure, enjoy the decline. TRP isn't about fixing the system, it's about fixing individuals.

Are maybe examples in the shift of RP. RP, while not flattering to women at all, was about holding men responsible for their own sex lives, telling them they were to blame for the lack of it and offering help. Now its all boo its womens fault.

More people now and overall less effort.

Edit2; I think we should re post some of those topics and see what the users think about them now tbh.

In the early days it was pretty classic RedPill vs Bluepill in the most obvious sense. At the time the RedPill/MGTOW was gradually picking up steam and it was becoming a focal point of discussion on the Internet but it hadn't hit the mainstream yet.

I remember Bluepillers would swear up and down, day and night that Redpill was bullshit, that it's all in our heads and everything else is just fine: According to bluepillers, the vast majority of men are normal socially adjusted human beings who regularly or semi-regularly get laid. They may not be super attractive Casanova's who pick up a new girl every week but most men manage to find a steady girlfriend here and there over time and eventually settle down wit one, according to blupillers.

Blues would also insist that things like the 80/20 rule, AF/BB, the cock- carousel, hookup culture, how physical looks played a critical factor in a man's success or failure, etc were largely exaggerated or untrue boogeyman that Reds would trip themselves up over...again insisting that what Reds were experiencing first hand in the field and comparing notes with other men in similar situations was all in our heads, they accused us of lying or would say that somehow it was our shitty personalities that were at fault.

"Looks don't matter as much as you think!"

"80/20 is bullshit"

"there is no cock carousel"

"there's no such thing as Chad's or Alphas, you guys are just haters blaming others for your problems!"

"Most men are successful in sex/dating. You guys are the exception "

That was in 2014 when I joined this sub.

Here we are in 2022 and now we have the mainstream media openly asking questions on the state of modern dating/relationships, why up to 35% (or in some other polls/research closer to 50%) of young men are sad, lonely, and single. Why there's been a considerable uptick in mass shootings involving said sad lonely single men who in some cases leave behind manifestos detailing how their perpetual loneliness played a part in why they're fucked up.

This sub has gradually moved away from the traditional RedPill vs BluePill narrative and it has morphed into a general men vs women and their competing sexual strategies regardless of any "pill" ideology.

Notice how things like Alpha fucks/Beta bucks, 'chad', hookup culture, isn't even debated much anymore. People have more or less accepted that these things, while exaggerated in some cases, are largely true enough to be observed and noticed. BluePill seems to basically just be "Team Woman Redpill" now.

"yeah, women are considerably picky and it sucks for guys...oh well, you still aren't entitled to shit"

"yeah, online dating is a crap shoot and a sausage fest, you can always try bars and clubs but lots of women don't want to be hit on when they go out with their friends "

"modern dating is rough for men, but what are we supposed to do about it without infringing on women's right to choose?"

"yeah, lots of women don't care for short/bald men, but having a bitter attitude about it isn't going to make it better, buddy..."

That's the kind of shit we hear now.

The 'i' word has become more known, there's a general understanding now that the modern dating landscape is rough, especially for men as evident by the mainstream taking note of all the unpaired, detached, lonely men. I still see lots of bashing and male shaming when it comes to the issue, so while society is coming to grips with the reality of the 'i' word it still doesn't quite know how to deal with it. So far the go-to response has seem to be to double down on the male bashing and stigmatize sad single lonely men. How dare you feel sad and lonely you entitled pervert...

I could go on but these are just a few notable examples of how the sub has changed during my time here.

The posts were originally about RedPill concepts, PUA strategy alternatives and RPW. Now it's mostly incel content and complaining about how much easier hot women have it.

Think about that. How many dudes have been here all 9 years and still haven’t pulled vs how many came and and eventually got laid/a girl/LTR and went without any fanfare. And just got replaced by newer young dudes coming up? Like for real: how come there isn’t a huge hardcore group of sexless 30 year olds hanging around?

I'd imagine it might have embraced the reality that average girls don't have it great either. The problem though is that average girls tend to be girls who just don't stay in good shape for whatever reason. Any slim girl be it through exercise or luck will generally be considered attractive

Before was red Vs blue. There was way more blue men and red women. Now is men Vs women.

There used to be more extremeists back then (red and blue) but the baseline was way more civilized.

People could have different colours and have civilized conversations. Now if you don't agree at something small, you're forced to hate each other.
