TRPer here in a 3yr LTR.

Manipulation and powerplays occur in every relationship, romantic and platonic. TRP just lays out what exactly happens in these powerplays. TRP discusses the rules and how to play it. TRPers are simply aware of it. It's not that manipulation, as you put it, doesn't exist in any relationship (because it does), but that it is something we are aware of and have solutions for... TRP, after all, is a sub for a man's success, whether you agree with it or not.

I think you would find more fulfillment in a relationship that doesn't need "strategy". Just a thought.

It's true that it feels "better" to not have to think about this TRP stuff. But that's the thing. If you're new to TRP, you'll always be thinking of it. Once you're a vet, you've already established yourself as a high status man (meaning you are successful physically, socially, mentally and financially). In which case, you don't really think much into it anymore. You have adopted the best behaviors to keep a girl (or girls) on you. It just seems like it's the only thing we think about in the TRP sub because that's the entire point of the sub! Everyone shares their opinion and advice. If you actually look at the vets there, they don't actually even post that much since they have their own lives to live. They don't need to visit the sub anymore (or at least, not as often).

It is great by your definition. Not all men are alike and have the same taste and needs as you. Even your opinion on your woman is relative, she may be badass to you but not necessarily to everyone. What, you gonna say we should fuck like how you two do as well? Coz it's so amazing?

We do help eachother out bc of genuine love and affection. Not manipulation. We call eachother out on our bullshit and listen to eachother. She's a badass chick, and we both are really secure with each other.

That sounds like 90% of my relationship/marriage for the last almost two decades.

I've been with some very high caliber women (my wife being the highest). But you know what? They are all human, just like anyone else. And they have flaws. They all have weaknesses. They can all be selfish or myopic or insensitive or solipsistic. They all do things they aren't proud of after. 'Cause they are human.

It's best to prepare to deal with their humanity effectively when it arises, rather than blissfully assuming that their humanity will never 'cause a problem for you, or that you are always fully prepared to handle it gracefully.

Show me a single relationship in life that requires no strategy. I would wager that you use a "strategy" with every single person in your life, from your girlfriend to your best friend to your boss to your sibling to your parent.

Strategy is required for setting and maintaining certain social connections and boundaries. It is a requirement for cooperation. It forms the basis for reciprocity (a major component of our social instinct).

You know the things you can and can't (or should and shouldn't) say to the people in your life. You know what makes them happy and what makes them angry or sad, and (generally) you strive to enhance the former and reduce the latter. If you are mindful of the words you use with certain individuals, even a little, you are employing a strategy.

I have no idea why people think that only devious, manipulative people use any "strategies."

To be fair, a lot of the troubles guys in TRP talk about which TRP does remedy, can be totally avoided by avoiding messed up, damaged women with really high dick counts, in the first place.

If you end up fucking the hot girl in the club who was grinding multiple men on the same night, I don't care how strong your frame is, how alpha you are or how wet you made her. She is still a bad prospect. If you're going to associate with ex-convicts, a great way of ensuring your wallet doesn't go missing is to leave it at home, but a better solution is not to associate with ex-convicts in the first place.

I agree with you. I think the best relationships with truly compatible people are free of a lot - not all, not always - but a lot of the negative dynamics described by TRP.

I'm getting into TRP because I'm sick of relationships for now and want to have:

More sex
with more attractive women
as soon as possible once I meet them (ONS ideally)

I think when you get into the world of hookup/bar/club culture, the primal evopsych underpinnings of human behavior really come to the forefront, and TRP describes the dynamics pretty fucking accurately.

I think you made a mistake with your post. Please don't take them seriously.

I'm in a relationship that sounds very similar to yours. We've been together 5 years now, we're both happy, and planning a future together. We're talking about kids and the next stage of life. There's absolutely no reason that your relationship has to fail, or even be questioned. You can continue what you're doing and have a perfectly happy life. Don't listen to people telling you it has to be otherwise.

Just be conscious of your boundaries. TRP mainly applies to ex-BP guys who have boundary issues with women. For example, my mom would invade my boundaries all the time but yet never let me push back to an even par in the relationship.

TRP is an expansion on the Power game. It is real and most BP guys don't know it. If you are in a healthy relationship, you probably have some of the essential TRP concepts ingrained in you.
