It can. Before technology advancements society needed a carrot for the low quality men to keep them in check and provide the necessary work force. Now we can sustain our society with 1000th of the labor m we needed before. There is no more reason for high quality men to not start harems.

Do you really think it's a good idea to sexually disenfranchise the bulk of men? I mean, having a surplus population of unattached, demotivated, depressed, and angry males doesn't produce anything good for society as a whole. In recent years we've seen mass shootings where the perpetrator made it explicitly clear that their lack of relationships and sex was a major driving force behind their motivations for doing what they did.

The monogamous model was created mostly because of material conditions. In the future, the robots will be doing most of the menial labor anyway and technology will make economic reforms necessary.

This will almost certainly never happen.

You know thats interesting, but sadly race also plays a big part into it. Some minorities wont be able to be in the top 20 percent even if they are in the top 10 percent facially top 5 percent financially etc. Thats what angers me, that there is no meritocracy to this shit like there is to a certain extent in capitalism.

This (to an extent, not this extreme) "worked" for most of human existence. Resources that can be horded (neolithic revolution) adds another dimension to the competition. It also created a more complicated system which the labor of multiple men is required to sustain. The men can be incentivized with the carrot (behave and you get a woman, system makes her need you) or the stick (misbehave and other men will kill you) Without some combination of these, men become destructive or at least, refuse to participate

Nowadays we can give men virtual carrots, and women don't really need men. We can use the stick pretty efficiently with street cameras, browser history, GPS on phones, bank statements, etc. This is will lay bare unequal distribution of male attractiveness and perhaps keep it unveiled for some time.

In general, men are naturally attracted to young women around peak fertility potential, for evolutionary reasons. Now there's only so much time in the day. If a man is in the top 20% and can get all the women, he still has to be selective because he doesn't have time for all of them. No strings unpaid casual sex can be a relatively small resource investment for men, but even that takes some time. Serious relationships require a much bigger time and energy investment for men.

So even a top 20% man isn't going to have time for all women. If a man could have as many women as he wanted, he will most likely invest heavily in a few, have casual sex with lots of others, and not have sex with more of them.

In short, some women won't even make the cut in the harem of the top 20% of men. This is especially true of the ones who are older or otherwise less attractive. Many others will be "fuck-toys"- they'll be used for sexual pleasure but won't get many resources. If they have kids, the man won't put many resources into the children, so that the kids grow up disadvantaged. Only a few women (and the children of those women) will benefit from a greater share of the man's resources (time, money, etc.).

And these men will want to get laid AND keep there androgyny because deep down, they to hate classical masculinity and won't want to change. The "top 20%" of men (whatever that means) don't have harems. That is a ridiculous fantasy. Like most people they are likely to favour monogamous relationships and eventually get married. They just get the most attractive partners.

Women define "top men" often via criteria that are unnecessary or even harmful to civilization. A tattooed, violent gang member might have 4 children with 4 different baby mothers, but a hard-working but ugly office clerk is incel. How is that good for our species?

because this entire "top 20% of men" theory doesnt exist in the first place. how do you even define what is the top 20%? some guys are gorgeous but have no career, some are ugly but have the status going for them. some are average but they are perfect for someone because they have the chemistry. your entire tankie utopia is ridiculous and goes against the reality, where people form relationships with other people from their own social circle. you will rarely find a surgeon marrying someone with a high-school degree, simply because they arent in the same circle, even if they have the same level of attractiveness. deeper level attraction is incredibly complex with way too many variables, this materialistic world-view just makes you look like a sperg who does not go out.

The current system is what gives us a workforce, if you take the women away production would go down and we would see more violence/crime/addiction. Women would most likely lose a lot of their rights
