Imagine these are your only two options. You can’t chose both. Imagine you’re selecting for the most positive qualities. Whatever that means to you. So, selecting for the way someone thinks might mean selecting for someone emotionally intelligent, or logical, or with a strong sense of morals, or a similar sense of humor, or someone who’s a musical genius. Selecting for what someone does might include finding someone ambitious, or successful. Someone who works out, or is organized, or able to cultivate friends easily. Try not to complain about a lack of context. The lack of context is the point of the hypothetical, it’s what makes it interesting.
