Been working with this girl who is pretty cute and asked her out a week after meeting her. We were gonna grab a bite to eat and when the day came she texted me saying that her dog was dying and had to take it to the vet. She apologized up and down and said we can reschedule sometime. Turns out she wasn’t lying but I chose not to reschedule with her.

A few months pass and she starts giving me alot of attention and starts saying stuff like “I feel like we think the same” etc. so I ask if she wants to hang out to which she says “yea sure I’m not doing anything next week” so I ask her if she wants to grab some food and she says “oh sorry I work that day.” I replied “no worries” and she replied “if they cut me early I’ll come.” I said “ok I’ll be there at 6.” Mind you the place we work at closes at 3. So the day comes and she never shows up and I never went out cause I figured she wouldn’t show up. She texts me the next day saying “I just wanted to text you and say I’m sorry about the other night. I don’t want to be a literal child right now but I haven’t been out with a guy in three years I was nervous so I went ghost lol. I don’t want you to think I did it purposely I just wanted to explain myself. So again I just wanted to apologize.” To which I replied two hours later “so would you like to go out or nah lol?” She never replied. The next time I saw her at work I removed my attention from her and she started coming up to me asking random shit. Then she said to me “my friend is having an event down south you should come it will be fun, all of my friends will be there.” I think she may be confused as she talks about how much guys try to hit on her and are obsessed with her. But with me I barely show her attention at times and that seems to pull her toward me. Almost like she is constantly testing how I react to her. I’m not sure how to put it exactly. She has brought up this event like five times to me saying how fun it will be if I go and I should bring a friend. Any idea as to what she’s trying to do? Everytime I ask her to go out she agrees but flakes. But then I’ve seen her blatantly reject guys in front of me. I don’t give her lots of attention and don’t go out of my way to talk to her much. Yet she invites me out to hang with her friends who are mostly guys.
