As a man who was raised by a single mother, I turned out a huge faggot. Quelle fucking surprise. I was the king of people pleasers.

Now I know some of you are in the same boat. Fucked up kids who grew up in dysfunctional families. I was raised mostly without a father. This means never learning how to become a man properly. So I was never taught how to stand up for myself or how to raise my voice. Never taught how to get rid of overbearing people or how to establish boundaries.

So I'm going to give the young guys who were grown up in suburban single mother hell some advice. Just say no.

It really is as easy as it sounds. Get rid of your overbearing and always complaining 'friends', the girls who friendzone you, overbearing mothers etc etc. Establish boundaries.

Years ago, long before 'theredpill' existed, I was awful with woman. I figured being as nice as possible and simply being a people pleaser would get me laid (thanks mom!). Obviously I got placed in the nice little zone woman have for guys who 'get to fix their shit'. To clarify, this is the zone where you don't get laid but only get to fix their shit and hear their moaning about those ''assholes'' who don't call them back.

I was in love with one of those girls, she placed me in the zone. After a while, I realized we were never gonna fuck, so I got rid of her in my life. 6 months later, she calls me:

Hot Bitch: 'hey wakingslowdiver, whats up what are you doin today?

Me: Not much, how come?

HB: 'wanna help me move, Ill be soo gratefull :) ;) '

Me: No.

HB: ....... (awkward silence) Umm okay talk to you later I guess.

Me: ok bye.

In hindsight, that was one of the turning points in my life. I finally realized what I was to her, just some guy who gets to fix their shit and get next to nothing in return. It really is an empowering feeling to Just Say No.

I started to establish boundaries, not just with woman, but in general. Example:

my mother: Hey wakings can I just show up out of nowhere because I am feeling lonely and I need some comfort, be my emotional comfort please :( come round for some tea, I just happen to be in the neighboorhood.

Me: No mom I'm busy right now.

Mom: But blablabla feel sorry for me :( blabla

Me: No.

[to clarify, I have a great relationship with my mother. She used to be really overbearing though. You know the type, helicopter parent]

I got rid of friends that were always draining, girls that didnt fuck with me, overbearing family members etc etc. I even cut contact with my father. The guy is a drunk, plain and simple. Told him to get a job and stop drinking. From what I've heard the man is still an alcoholic, 5 years later. I realized I made the right choice. I feel a lot better these days, since I now have ONLY positive people around me who contribute to my wellbeing. If I can do it, so can you, find your balls and just say no.

Just. Say. No.
