When I was younger I also thought looks were everything, probably because you are only attracted to good looking girls you think that girls are only attracted to good looking men. I worked a lot on fixing my posture, style, physique and looks. Sure it helped, but I did not get the girls I wanted. Pretty girls would tell me I was handsome and beautiful, but often treat me as a little brother.

When I finished university and got a cool job it changed for me, I mastered all kinds of tasks and excelled at my work. I’ve gotten promotions and earn good money. This mastery of tasks gave me the confidence I was lacking. Now I get plenty quality pussy.

Gains at the gym also boosted my confidence, seeing progress and getting bigger feels good and is also a form of mastery as it requires consistency and work.

As someone else mentioned, psychedelics can really shake you up and expose the negativity of your thoughts. I experimented with them and my biggest take away was that I really did not need to feel like a little bitch. It exposed the negative voice in my head always telling me I was not good enough, which had been so ingrained in my mind that it was the norm. Concerning pussying out with women, I would recommend not putting too much pressure on your self. Take small steps, smile and say hey how are you to all kinds of women and people in general. Give compliments for attire or accomplishments. Work on being approachable and in the beginning, do not push yourself to close or get a number. This will get the ball rolling and you will be more comfortable in social settings.

Everybody has times they feel down, but keep your head up buddy, you are going to be alright.

Personal growth is great, but if you’re chasing perfection, you will always be insecure. People who obsessively try to improve themselves tend to be highly strung. True confidence comes from accepting yourself and being happy with yourself (self esteem), and putting your own happiness with yourself above what others - or what you think others - think.

You may need to get some therapy. I did some work with a psychologist for a while but didn’t get much out of it. You might find that you do though.

You're experiencing the Imposter Syndrome. It's a common pitfall in TRP journey. You can not unfuck 20 years of programming by just reading and applying the tenets for 2 years. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

Another thing is your inferiority complex. You need to work on your self image. This is just internalized self limiting beliefs, nothing else. Now when you have success, your subconscious mind falls into cognitive dissonance and it feels like you don't deserve it. Bullshit.

You're talking as if girls have something you need/want. That's a lot of pressure on her at best, and repulsively needy at worst. Mental clarity and self-reflection, introspection, and spirituality (doesn't have to be religion, just the idea of something greater than you) are the fertile soil in which you grow as a man. I've known about TRP for 6 years since I was 20- used to just jack off on the posts and never implemented the literal gold (most) posters shared.

Been clean and sober for 58 days now, had to do some real in depth work on my trauma and why I used drugs/food/sex/people to fill some deep need, and accept that I'm an addict. Honestly, this process the best thing I ever did with my life, and now I'm able to go up to girls, polarise them and get their number. Not laying pipe yet, still got plenty of issues around relationships and sex due to being anxiously attached, but I'm in the best place possible to work on my game and be the man I always wanted to be.

Glad to see such honesty and humility in this subreddit- when a lot of the time it's mostly braggards and charlatans pushing their YouTube/book/blog (I get it, we've got to hustle) still, keep fighting the good fight brother!

Working on yours looks is just the first step in the journey and the easiest one.

Nobody ever talks about how to work on your inner self, cause very few people actually have the strength to do it as that's where the monsters live.

Getting good at talking to women takes practice just as anything else. Did you get in shape by reading about lifting and imagining it or by going to the gym and moving iron around? It's the same with all skills, 10 minutes of practice will be worth million times more than reading about it.

Keep at it, don't let life beat you down, you're moving in the right direction, sometimes it can be hard, sometimes it can be confusing, frustrating.

Depending on your baseline and where you currently sit, "improving your looks" may be useless. It also may be the most powerful thing you can possibly do.

For example, a lot of guys here go nuts when they begin to bald. News Flash fellas: Unless you had ridiculously good hair prior to balding and your head shape isnt an egg, there is almost no difference.

Your facial bone structure, height and body musculature all stay the same. Those 3 things define attractiveness more than anything.

Grooming, beards, being well dressed/tight clothes, etc help too, but they are not as important as the first 3. These generally hide or compliment the first three attributes.

Regardless, everyone on here should be maxing out their look potential as much as possible. Beards hide lower face issues. Grooming and facial routines help you look younger. Tight clothes are vital if youre in shape. If you already do all these things and have maxed out the main 3 things of attraction, not much else can be done.

Now, lets say you were 100 lbs overweight, a skinny nerd, or had a skeletal deformity in the face. Fixing any of these will make someone go up multiple points on the scale of 1-10. A 4 can become an 8 if they lose 100 lbs. A person with a massive overbite getting jaw surgery would be the same.

Further, you might wear loose clothing or have never tried to grow a beard. These things can have a massive difference on your appearance and everyone should give it a try (either beard growth or trying out different clothes/facial routines)

So, yes, looks do matter. But at the end of the day, you can only change so much given your baseline genetics and what is available. Facial abnormalities are easy to fix in todays world. Musculature issues are in the middle. Nothing you can do about height. Roughly 25-50 percent of guys can grow a "beard." I would say half of that can grow the true "chad" beard. If you can do that, it can be a game changer. Im not going to get into lifting because we already talk about it too much.

Now onto your point. Yes, you are also correct that you cant be a pussy. But think of looks as getting you more job interviews. Thats what looks are. If 1000 companies are interested, its easier for you to get paid. If only 10 are, getting paid is more difficult and it makes you needy.

Social skills, especially flirting and recognizing IOI's, recognizing when she wants more, and just improving your game overall are like any other skill or muscle. To get better/stronger, you gotta train and practice.

For most of people, it doesn't come naturally. Getting out of your head and stopping worry about rejection and if you'll be accepted by her are the simple keys. But simple in same way as getting so you can deadlift 400 lbs. Takes lots of repetitions, training, and practice on a consistent basis.

You need to build confidence in other areas of your life other than just your looks. That means goals, hardship, etc. All while also approaching and talking to women...failing with them, eventually succeeding with them. It may take awhile and you may not master it until after college.

Its hollywood my friend

Hollywood has taught us through a million films and tv shows you can be a weak simp nice guy or a confident alpha type who gets girls and looks after their looks body BUT you must be a total dick..internaly you know your a good guy (im assuming) so wanting to improve can feel like becomming that 80s movie bully toolbag

As soon as you a) admit to yourself you want to be the chad guy getting the girl first not waiting for some hollywood magic for her to ' see the love that was there in front of her all along' etc so you can eventualy get his leftovers.

B) mentaly tell yourself being more confident assertive as you self improve etc does NOT mean you have to be a dick to people ...they arent linked! That snide biff tannen/karen attitude to people some have comes from inner weakness not strength.

You are 21... You are in the right path but dont worry too much, at that age i was more worry about sports, games and doing activities with my friends, The girls come along easy when you dont make them your priority, Be a horny machine and talk to as many girls as you can on YOUR FREE time.
