I'm posting here because I don't have enough karma and this question really doesn't merit it's own thread.

I'm in an LTR of a year & a half but I haven't been able to see my girlfriend in a few months due to COVID-19. She lives with her mom and dad. They are really paranoid about catching COVID-19 and will only allow me to see her in person if she moves into an apartment with me for a couple of months. She resides two hours away from me as we met when I was living much closer to her. I used to stay the weekends with her family when I visited. One idea I floated was getting a hotel for the weekend but her parents were too worried that she would catch COVID-19 from the hotel and turned down this idea.

Is her family's thought process normal for these times and should I proceed with changing my living arrangements for her?
