Just be upfront with him what you're looking for. Some people feel very lonely and sad about empty hookups. Maybe he's not emotionally ready for casual sex
[–]actuallynotvictoria 11 points12 points13 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
this is the best thing she can honestly do, remind him that she's not looking for a relationship but for sex and all that fun stuff. If he'll look like he's not on the same note well she should leave him.
I have a pretty bad experience with fwb with girls that love me. I tell them immediately that im not looking for a relationship, they accept that but it always got out of hand and they at least wanted to hold hands and all this dating stuff. It could be really hard to "break up" with these people who want something emotional. I was lucky that none of them were manipulative and I've been through hours of therapy that also taught me how to be assertive. But it's still not easy. This lead me to make some rules for myself to not fuck girls that love me or just do a one night stand.
OP feels bad for the guy and judging from that it could be really hard to end a relationship with this guy. If he is this emotional he could be really manipulative and yeah, problems arise. So yeah, if the guy wants emotional stuff she should just leave him be.
[–]FrankyAvery 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah it sounds like he was trying to force himself to do what he didn't want to do. Maybe some family member died and he had to get their stuff or he had to pick up his shit from his ex wife instead of his sister. Either way casual means "not your problem".
Either way he has a bigger issue going on and clearly is the type to project his shittiness when he is upset and get mad at someone else for his own decisions (which is a sign they hate themselves). Doesn't make a good f*ck.
Tell him what's up. Don't give reasons. Say it was fun (even though it wasn't) but you aren't into the casual thing anymore and you'd like to keep it strictly professional from now on. Also keep those texts...just in case.
[–]SIV221 20 points21 points22 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
He needs to do some learning and healing and you don’t have to be there for it. It might sting him, might piss him off, say unbelievable things, but no one should ever be crying, let alone opening up so soon since you weren’t given the right and necessary time to see these emotions from a man.
Would you tell a man you just hooked up about how a parental figure abused you because you felt vulnerable the first time in your life? No, but it might take time and learning and processing to make sure it doesn’t happen. Wish him the best that he heals. And also hope you find a good man who’s more put together.
[–]PhilosophyMost7051 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I feel for the guy. What's interesting was he was my work crush for 2 years. He never liked me. He admitted that. Hence why casual was the option. Hence why I did comfort him when he was upset. But he told he that day the he didn't like me enough to date me and I settled with casual.
[–]SIV221 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I know you and him wanted things casual, but to open up to you like that even if he doesn’t like you, is not healthy. Again, it’s rather concerning and while I am one to have guys express emotions and processing said emotions, this is something else entirely and not healthy. You don’t have to see him again, in fact, you shouldn’t. Find someone else who at least likes you the way you like them. I promise you won’t need this subreddit or any other techniques when around that special person

[–]Zeus_xo 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Let me get this straight. You were obsessed with your co-worker for 2 years. Guy finally acknowledge you and decide to have sex with you. He also clearly said that he never liked you but you accepted to spread your legs anyways. And then you had the audacity to call him out for being selfish during sex. Right? Why would someone who doesn't like you want to please you?
My advice to you is to learn to respect yourself and go after a guy that wants exactly the same thing as you. No more obsessesions, no more sex with someone who doesn't like you.
As for the guy. Sent him here so we can help him work on his inner game.

For men in this subreddit, never break down or cry in front of your lover.
Never.
The damage is irreparable. The only justification can be death of you loved ones or similar circumstances, even then, go to you friend.
Showing vulnerability is ok, but showing mental weakness over something insignificant is the biggest flag of psychological instability.
[–]DoubleSly 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Agreed. Broke down in front of my ex and was treated differently ever since.
[–]politits -5 points-4 points-3 points 4 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link
This is dumb as fuck and will lead to mental health issues. You’re supposed to be vulnerable in front of people who care about you and whom you can trust. Bottling it all up and only letting it out when you’re alone makes things way worse. Should you completely lose your shit? No, but having self-control is part of being a mature adult. But if you’re not able to open up and cry in front of a significant other than there is so much wrong with you and/or your relationship that it’s hard to know where to begin since you’re missing such a basic and essential part of an emotionally healthy life.
[–][deleted] 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
[+]politits -6 points-5 points-4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Don’t share extremely personal stuff with people who you don’t already completely trust. She clearly was a POS given her reaction and you hadn’t figured that out yet. Sorry it took such an extreme reaction for you to learn that tough lesson, but hopefully you won’t make that mistake again.
But the lesson there is to learn how to figure out who’s trustworthy, not that you can’t open up to people you trust and who genuinely care about you.
[–]Robofrogg1 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
No one said bottle it up. Let it out in front of your buddies or your therapist. NOT your woman. Never make your girlfriend or wife your therapist. It’s weak and a huge turnoff.
[–]ld20r 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That is a messed up mindset. If people can’t be vulnerable around there partners then should they be with them at all?v
[–]politits -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
I feel sad for you that you think this is a good idea. If you can’t open up to your significant other than you don’t have a significant other. Either you’re only dating scumbags who actively exploit any weaknesses, which is you fault for dating complete pieces of shit, or you’re never lasting long enough in a relationship or getting close enough to anyone get to the point where opening up and letting your guard down is absolutely what you should be and need to be doing, or you just have serious insecurities and are way overprotective of them instead of getting over them. Being open about your feelings is not weakness. And anyone who thinks so or acts that way already has serious mental issues and headed towards much worse.
[–]Robofrogg1 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
You’re putting way too many words in my mouth, man, not to mention your wild assumptions.
[–]politits 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link
I didn’t put any words in your mouth. You said “NEVER cry in front of your woman.” Unless the definition of “never” changed then your original statement, as well as your defense of it, is toxic AF and everything I said still stands.
Do you not understand what the phrase “putting words into my mouth” means? Do you know what an assumption is? Because I didn’t put any words in your mouth or make any assumptions, I just responded to a cristal-clear and incredibly fucked up statement you made with simple common sense.
[–]Robofrogg1 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
You didn’t even get the first quote right. Everything after that is just insults. And I really don’t appreciate your condescending tone, either. None of that adds up to much of an argument.
[–]politits 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I got the first quote exactly right. Just because you added “or break down” in the middle of that sentence doesn’t change the meaning or anything about about the part that says “never cry in front of your woman.” Technically I should have written it as “never cry… in front of your woman,” but that’s nit picking as those three dots still don’t change the meaning at all. Happy to give you this free English lesson.
I’m sorry you feel condescended to when I point out that you’re claiming I put words in your mouth when I’m directly quoting you back to you, or that claiming that directly quoting you back to you is an assumption.
My argument is a great one and it still stands: saying “never cry in front of your woman” is ridiculous and sad and your advice is some of the worst I’ve ever heard in my life and would lead to nothing but failed relationships and mental health issues.
[–]Robofrogg1 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I just wanted to escape for a bit of fun and got a selfish loving dude who broke down over a parcel. Not sure how to tell him I'm not interested anymore. I feel for him but still, was very awkward to be around
[–]Evol_Etah 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Tell him diplomatically.
Hey man, are you alright? (Listen to what he says)
Ah, ok. Dude btw. I'm just here for a casual hookup, i just wanted to explore a bit. It's nothing related to you. It's just I wanna live life a lot.
I hope that's alright. (Listen to what he says)
If it's clingy.. then I'm sorry, i just wanted a casual hookup. I did mention this to you before. I'm sorry, it's not you. It's just my time to been around and stuff. I hope you get to be all right. And good stuff happens to you in the future.
Btw I got to go, I'm meeting some friends in a while. (Or if you're home. Then... I'm meeting my friends at their house to hang.)
Do you need anything? Water? Etc?
Then just safely and slowly leave.
For women, it's safer not to escalate, put blame. Don't get into strangers cars, or stuff. Make up and excuse. And have a friend pick you up. Or visit you where you are, and leave.
Basically, de-escalate, comfort, explain your priorities, de-escalate. Safely leave.
Shit happens, guys need help NGL. Some advice to him helps. But be nice. Afterall, if you aren't, he might go berserk and you don't want that.
Why do you still feel anything for him? He’s weak, doesn’t care about you, and treated you like a blowup doll.
[–]1000miles_if_i_could 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I think the fact that he’s a selfish lover as a hookup is more concerning. Guys tend to open up more after sex although in your case he‘s way to soon. Perhaps he doesn’t have support elsewhere?
This is what I think too
[–]Forsaken_Elk_4609 11 points12 points13 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

This has always been my problem with the seduction community. MOST, not all, break down into old familiar habits quickly when things are either going good and they don't think they have to work anymore. Or, the woman doesn't text back fast enough and he gets worried he's losing her attention.
[–]snowdude11 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
We hooked up, he was a selfish lover, didn't try pleasure me. Actually laughed it off. Then checked his phone and broke down. Hands on head and was dead silent, everything.
Why TF would you stick around and comfort a selfish guy who had a breakdown over a fucking package? Geez how low are your standards that this guy can even get the time of day from you?
[–]watuphoss[🍰] 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Damn, over a having to send a package?
As /u/bigmanpav said, be upfront, tell him you just want something casual.
Poor dude needs something more than just sex right now. Too bad he didn't/doesn't really acknowledge his mental health. He has a void, and is trying to fill it with sex, when it should be filled with communication and compassionate conversations.
Your edit should give you the direction in which to go to as well.
[–]PhilosophyMost7051 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Pretty much and again. I comforted him because I saw he was stressed. Went ontop of him, gave him a hug, rubbed his stomach and he just went on his phone and scrolled on Facebook...
Then as I left told me he could have sucked his own dick...

[–]PhilosophyMost7051 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I really want to rip into this guy. But not sure how to go about it.
[–]watuphoss[🍰] 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Depends on your personality.
Me, personally, I prefer engaging with a cooler head. I'd calm down and eventually state all my reasons as to why I am going to break it off.
From what I gathered: looking for sexually mutual and respectful casual relationship, want to enjoy the time yous spend together (not be on FB, unless you were scrolling as well), he should talk to someone about his emotions (this might backfire on you), and build him up/you like him/he's attractive/but it isn't what you are looking for right now so you are out.
I would definitely mention the one sided and the suck his own dick thing, in a calm but firm manner. Unless of course, he was trying to impress you with his skills of actually sucking his own dick, but he probably just was pissed and put his anger on you.
OR, just continue going with that dude. Personally, I don't think much will change and you have everything you need to know, but there are so many more variables in the equation.
[–]jacksn45 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You really don’t need to explain anything except it’s not for you anymore. Just move on.
[–]Woujo 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Just be honest with him.
"Dude, that's way too much emotions for knowing somebody for 4 days. I am not your therapist and I didn't sign up for this shit."
He either gets the hint or he learns a lesson for the future. I can't think of anything better to do than to be completely honest.
[–]ThatGuy_Nick9 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Some dudes are very emotionally broken. There no outlet for men so, unfortunately, some turn to women who maybe can understand emotions for empathy. It’s definitely a red flag. He’s probably a good guy but he will have underlying emotional instability until he’s older. Or maybe not

[–]Betonado 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Lol im a man, and I think men should not emote often around women, which kn my opinion very masculine. The truth is women subconsciously attracted to masculinity whether its toxic or not, and emotional men considered weak by women.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I agree with you totally but guys who think like us are in the minority cause boys these days are taught to show emotion from a very young age and disregard natural masculine tendencies. So to an extent women also need to accept a large majority of guys they meet are gonna be like that cause they pushed for a society men are emotional
[–]Betonado 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I agree. This situation is so fucked up literally women still dont understand what they really need and want from a man. Young girls getting brainwashed too, yet their subconscious is still attracted to masculinity - thats why OP is so confused.

Don’t be concerned with someone who can’t pleasure you. He’s a dumb piece of shit for that. Hookup with someone like me who does try to pleasure you and knows how more than anyone. I know every kind of hot touch and I can teach you so much. I know how to fuck like a perfect guy.
I think where I'm more worried is how do I tell him I'm not interested anymore. Do I be honest and mean with him so he backs away? Or do I be kind and then maybe get him reaching out again. That's what I'm worried about.
I was treated pretty poorly
Yes be mean to him. When he’s gone stay away from him. Be very mean if you want he needs to be taught a lesson

[–]Czekraft 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Why would someone break down over dropping a parcel?
At the same time I'm more concerned because I was treated like shit the whole day.
He made fun of me, was aggressive for wanting to get something to eat before. There was only so much I could take. Then not wanting to pleasure me after I pleasured him. Pissed me off.
But then there's stupid me, comforting this guy when anything I was the one being treated poorly all day
[–]Czekraft 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Sounds like you found a real whack job
I'm just not sure how to go about this without getting nasty about it. Again he has texted me asking, 'are you angry with me' because literally as I walk out the door he said 'I should have sucked my own dick' and I just looked at him and said nothing...
[–]Czekraft 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You don’t owe him an explanation. With his attitude, he’d be lucky if you said anything to him. It could be anything from “not interested” to yes he should suck a dick.
[–]AppropriateLink5330 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
A lot of people might not agree with what I’m about to say here but I think people tend to forget that we’re all human beings sometimes. We all have emotions and we all go through shit. The fact that he broke down might have nothing to do with the text from his sister or nothing with the fact that he is comfortable around you already (which would not be a bad thing even if it’s just casual?). All I’m saying is maybe that was the breaking point or the last drop in the glass. Maybe he’s been overwhelmed, maybe a lot is going on; you wouldn’t know because you’re just seeing each other casually. You never know so I wouldn’t make assumptions about somebody else if you wouldn’t want those assumptions made about you. Not taking things personally in life is a skill that we have all have to learn at some point; also a skill many fail to learn.
I appreciate this view. Again I think where I am more concerned is the whole day I was treated so poorly. As soon as I got out of my car he made fun of my outfit. He told me he didn't like me enough to take me to eat, when before over text he told me he was 'totally down to get something to eat', then he was moody about everything all day. I was attracted to him psychially so thought casual works fine.but then to be laughed at, in my face for him not wanting to pleasure me after I pleasured him. Also then him checking his phone after that happened and broke down in front of me. I Then comfort him and he tells me as I was leaving he could have sucked his own dick. I don't know how to feel but enraged. But I'm not sure how to go about this...
We work in the same building

We are all human. It would not be a problem for me. It might even be a cuddle opportunity. I would much rather see a sensitive side than a bad mood with no explanation.
[–]PhilosophyMost7051 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link
So it wouldnt be a problem for you if he called you names all day, said you wearing an oversized sweatshirt was stupid and also laughed at you after you made him cum after 2 mins of sucking his dick and him not wanting to pleasure you...
Then I comfort him after we hooked up (just me giving him a blow job) and then he called me an idiot...
I'm not sure about that...
[–]Ok-Car7093 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Bitter would be a word I would use. My reply was not meant to offend you or anyone.
I understand and appreciate your response. It's was just a situation I'm trying to wrap my head around and think it is bringing the worst out of me at the point.

I totally understand that notion. I honestly don’t recognize him anymore. We are just friends.. but hearing all of the stories is scary. To enter in a relationship requires vulnerability and trust. Dang. I’m old. I wish I could separate sex from my emotions. If the communication isn’t accurate though- the trust shatters no matter how much love I have for a person. 7051 .. I hope you feel better.
Just ask if that’s normal for him, ya know the 7 seconds of sex or the 30 minutes of crying

I just needed to hear tha title but bro gay in disguise 🥸
[–]PhilosophyMost7051 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Why do you say this? 🤔
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Cuz I wouldn’t cry in front of a girl I meet months ago tbh I’m surprise he wanted a hookup not a long-term relationship
This is what got me confused. Do you think he got too comfortable with me too quickly? It's sort of worried me because again I was treated like a punching bag all day in the sense that he thought i would never leave, he knew i liked him.
Yea I think he was like she wants me and nothing will change that cuz people do tell dudes to be more sensitive and girls like when you cry so maybe he was trying that but I don’t think that works

Men these days are deeply fragile, scared of women, relationships, life, but the fear starts to make them angry, they go on Reddit to seduction forums, to talk to other men about their issues. They don't talk to women, they don't read any of the posts, articles, essays, blogs, or watch videos by women talking about their experiences & perspectives. They struggle to form real friendships, even with other men, torn between being weak & real or tough & safe, they misunderstand social change, & believe the lies that women will just randomly accuse them of rape if they say hi, but they also can't stop talking about a woman's appearance when they do try to chat her up. If one of the few men who've learned better talk about it, they send hate mail, call them names, use toxic dude terms. When they do manage to convince a woman to date them or sleep with them, they end up demanding that she fulfill ALL of their human needs. The woman has to be their best friend, cuz that's their only friend, she has be his family cuz those relationships aren't healthy either. She has to be his caretaker, do his laundry, cool his meals, clean the house, care for any children, work a career job while he delivers pizza & leave him alone so he can game when he's off work. She has to be good in bed, but not too good cuz that's slutty. She has to look good but not too good cuz then other men may notice. She can be smart but not so smart that he feels dumb. She can work, she can pay for everything as long as she never points that out.
I'm never surprised at women's experiences anymore. Every woman I know who has talked to me about their experiences repeat all this like a mantra. And when they do stay with a man, its because he's not outright abusive, he doesn't hit her, the sex isn't awful, he has started finally doing 1 chore around the house & hell, dealing with his fragility once a week is better than fighting more & its hard to be single, & alone.

I understand this completely. The thing is though. I was willing to be there for him. I comforted him when he was upset. However when I was he was on his phone when I was ontop of him. I even gave him kisses. To relax him. Then as I got off him he said to he he could have sucked his own dick and that my handbag looked like trash. AS I WAS LEAVING.
MAKE IT MAKE SENSE

Yeah, women are usually very empathetic, & pretty willing to work with a guy. But they are so fragile, but can't be vulnerable, can't even admit they are fragile, so they just fall apart into shame or rage. My daughter's current bf is the best one she's ever had. But once a week he's upset about dumb stuff, & he can barely bring himself to actually help with the issues because he feels "uncomfortable" with feeling fragile. Examples are, she has adhd, so her house is very cluttered, he is naturally very organized & he hates the clutter. But rather than clean up, he complains & when he's upset about something, rather than share what he's upset about, he attacks her, her parenting, her mental health, the clutter. When she bought the home he gets to live in, we had to fix it up. First he was mad we didn't invite him to help, but my daughter's feeling was that if he didn't volunteer, he must not want to, I mean do you really need to be invited to help work on the home you'll be in? Then he was upset that she & I were "bonding" as father & daughter. Finally, he agrees to come help but he has zero experience in labor because he sold pot his whole life. We give him an easy job & he feels uncomfortable that he doesn't know what to do, forcing him to ask for help, & that was just too much, he stopped helping altogether. And then, he flipped out when he was told that her mother, who loaned her the money to buy the place, had the condition that only her name was on the lease. Then, with his pizza job (she manages a air B&B company), he was outraged that she was "using him for his money". Again, this is the best guy so far in her 28 years of life. The rest were far worse.

Ehhh when chicks only chase the “hawt” dudes this is what you get. I know several guys in engineering, logistics, and business that own homes, have hobbies, do all their own cooking and cleaning, and are highly logical and stable people. They’re not “exciting” or good looking enough though so they’re single.
Another thing I find really funny, do you ever look at men's reddit tags compared to women's reddit tags? Men use toilet humor, chad jokes, talk about their penises, while women never do, they have philosophy like this one, or science, or something from a movie, a book, art.
It's VERY telling. lol

Lol women really don’t care what dudes be going through.
Oh man. I have to keep explaining. I did care. I comforted him. Even though all day he was being mean to me saying what I was wearing was silly (an oversized sweatshir), he told me he didn't want to take me to a resturant because he didn't like me enough,) then after we hooked up,ind yiu he didn't even pleasure me, I did him, he laughed at going down on me. he broke down and I comforted him because I'm not a piece of shit. And he then continued to tell me 'I should have sucked my own dick'
Please. I understood what he was going through, he didn't understand me making the effort in comforting him. Hence why I'm pissed off.
[–]FlanneryODostoevsky 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I don’t mean you specifically. It’s just amazing how quickly a man breaks down. Also your original post sounded like you were cold to him. If that wasn’t the case so be it and he doesn’t deserve you but it didn’t sound like that originally.
But my only point was that we go through a lot all the time and it can only come out in little moments like this.
How would you feel if I woman you thought was interested in you told you all this, called you names like idiot and made you feel worthless, didn't pleasure you during a sexual arrangement and then basically put you in a situation where you as a nice human comforted them...after all this. Not attractive.
Then get told they could have pleasured themselves...as you were leaving...
Please.
No. But damn. Why even fuck a guy like that? Damn. Y’all are a conundrum. Some guys would do anything to fuck you knowing you could care that much.
He sounds like a loser.

I dont know what to do and am worried he will reach to me again.
Why do you want to have casual sex with someone emotionally unstable…? I’m sure you’re not hideous. You obviously have a vagina. There’s plenty of men that would love to be your FWB.
Not wanting anything to do with this guy. Worried he will come back.
Make it clear to him that you’re no longer interested. Tell him you’re seeing someone else.

Who the fuck avoids eating pussy when offered? Gays are understandable, dirty is understandable but if it’s clean that should be like a buffet table, she should get off as much or more on it. It’s not sex otherwise, it’s just masturbation - booooo what a lame-o
I scrubbed my body before, moisturised, shaved.
Ugh
I just.
I put so much into this
[–]TheRiverOfDyx 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Sometimes work goes unappreciated, but it’s unappreciated all the same. It sucks, it’s not a shame - there’s no shame, you put in effort. They’re just not into that for reasons, or they’re selfish
It might be a me thing, dunno if he’d agree, but if a girl told me in detail all the work she put in, that would make me weak at the knees, it puts an image in the head - for me I basically imagine the person saying that to be doing it, and then jump in their shoes and be the one doing as them so I got an idea how they feel, understanding the mind-body connection for when I’d do it for them - if that ends up being the case, showers are good places for intimacy.
I can imagine a girl doing it, some girls have explained it, it almost strikes the same nerve as sexting, like “oooo what’re you doing hmm?”
Just my experience
Do not, do NOT, hook up with this guy again~
Do you think if I act mean to him he will leave me alone. Alot of people on here are messaging me saying he will try again with me...
Don't be mean, just busy. He probably will try again; just hand him an endless list of excuses.
Nobody meets up and says let’s do casual 😂
