It probably is the case that you're not being forward enough, or spending too much time trying to convince them that you're a nice guy. At a certain point, she's going to wonder if you're either not interested, or if there's some nefarious reason behind it. Remember that these women know that you want to have sex. You're not hiding that from them. There is nothing creepy or weird about being sexually attracted to someone.

As far as not saying creepy or outrageous things, that is going to come with experience. Your friend can pick up on when it's ok to make on off-color joke or a sexually charged line so he's more confident in it. I am way to nice and respectful, i am scared to say or do something which is weird or disrespectful. Reading the mood can be super difficult even more if the girl seems nice and friendly but acts shy

What helped me out was doing sex related "jokes". Sounds stupid and it is but it makes it more clear for me if she is just friendly and wants to hang out or if she wants you to escalate the situation.

I can't give you a good example because it is situational but it boils down to changing the topic to something sex related and check if she avoids the topic or if she goes for it. Stupid example but maybe you could tell a story about weird/funny moments in the past "once my roommate had a girl over and well she was one of the loud types Bla Bla something funny like she was that loud that a neighbour came over and then finish it with a question like, are you loud in bed? I bet you are"

The answer i think can show the mood pretty good and you can build on that then, tease around and stuff

You don't seem to be paying attention closely enough: you haven't listed anything these guys are doing before the bigger moves at the end of the process.
