So, let me preface this by saying I am not very attractive, or sociable, or good with people in any way really. I'm short, pale, scrawny and my long hair often looks like the ass end of an abused horse.

10 minutes ago I saw a girl, who in my opinion is pretty damned well a 10/10, walking away from a community college we both attend. I had a moment of clarity that boiled down to "Fuck it, why not?" puffed up my tiny chest and opened with "you are beautiful, life is short, we should get a drink." expecting her to give me a look like I had just offered her a dead squirrel.

To my absolute astonishment, she fell in step beside me, told me she couldn't because she was only 20... But she keeps the conversation going. This isn't really a situation I'm experienced with, so out of my ass I pulled the most over the top bold and impossible compliments I could come up with.

I am now terrified, and nauseous, sitting in my car with her phone number and a promise for a call in the not too distant future. Complete shock.

Moral of the story; 5 minutes of blind bravery, and not giving a damn can make things possible you never thought were.

Tl;dr: holy Fuck I was confident and it worked!
