It’s definitely harder. Access to the “top 5 % “ of men is more readily available than ever. Most of the high value woman either are with their high school sweetheart or gunning for that “top 5 %.” Many will miss out on having families in their best years because of the pursuit. Cant blame them since it’s primal nature. Honestly though a lot of 7’s are great! Search for one that you are comfortable being 100% authentic around and obviously you must appreciate her authentic self as well. Oh and the sex has to be 10/10. Do not underestimate the importance of that.

First of all - dating as a WHOLE is rigged against men. Women get to choose, and men do the approaching that in itself is one sided.

And second, say whatever you want, people do get laid, make relationships and even marry through dating apps. Just saying "no apps dont work" is same as "no, approaching wont work cause i am ugly".

Yeah, you ain't getting a date with that mindset anyways. Curate your profile better imo.

You speak of nowadays as if you have any reference experience to compare it to from years ago.

I started dating in 2013 and found out about seduction in 2015. For around 5 years I also had the same experience as you but when I got better, my experiences got exponentially better, until today.

In the 2020s, I haven't experienced the stuff that everyone whines about when they say, "girls these days..." the tendencies I saw from women when I started are the tendencies I see now and the way I handle them works just as well now as they did back then.

Plain and simple, this is a skill issue.

if you want a real relationship you need to join something "boring", a book club, or some class/group/club and meet the girls in person and build real rapport over time.

"Decent social skills" leads me to believe that what you should focus on the most. You have the first step down which is good being able to get dates. Just them finding you attractive and being decent socially is enough to get dates. Now work the skills of building and maintaining attraction.

I would suggest treat dating like a job and skill to be learned. Study game, read books, watch videos, take courses. You'll probably find some bad advice but also some great advice. You find out what works for you through trail, error and VOLUME.

In my personal, naive, and perhaps uniformed opinion I think one main reason is that everybody wants the benefits of a relationship but not the responsibility needed to reap and see them. Dating feels like a game, but nobody is having fun as there is tones of toxic behavior that have become social norms to safeguard your heart and feelings without investing.
