Time for a reality check. If you haven't heard from here again she's obviously not interested. Here's the main lesson men have to learn. She may have seemed interested at the time of the date but she was merely being polite. Don't judge women by their words but by their actions. Men must learn that.

The date probably did go well, like you said, but there are still a lot of reasons someone might delete you afterward on a dating app.

One possibility is that you reminded her of an ex. Some people do not want to repeat old patterns, and if you had traits or mannerisms that felt familiar in that way, she may have decided you were not for her. It is not always logical, but it happens.

Another possibility is that you said or did something she saw as a red flag. Sometimes a person enjoys the date in the moment, then goes home and starts replaying everything and turns one small thing into a much bigger issue.

She also might still be recovering from a past relationship and realized afterward that dating feels too fast for her right now.

And there are plenty of other possible reasons that may have had very little to do with you.

Either way, if she deleted you without giving any reason, that also tells you something. At the very least, she was not hones, and in that sense, you may have dodged a bullet.

It sucks, but this happens. Just keep going.

She was on the fence (which is why she didn’t take the number) and decided she wasn’t interested after the date. The date going well is typically a prerequisite but it doesn’t necessarily mean she is going to be interested/attracted.

Time to move on. Sorry bud. It’s a painful game. Only those that can handle obscene amounts of rejection survive in modern dating.

If you have contact info for her you can ask her openly and directly. If you DON'T have her info then you will likely never know exactly what happened. It could be any number of reasons or none at all.

By far the most likely scenario here is that she just didn't like you as much as yiu thought she did, which is a completely normal thing to have happen. But WHATEVER it was, you should pull back from this and try again with someone else. Try to take a lesson from this and move on, friend.

One of my only rules is this: Never go out with a girl that refuses to give her number or move the convo to texts. This may sound old-school but I will literally unmatch 99% of women that refuse. If she won't give me her number or acts weird after I text her, she's either attention seeking or just isn't that attracted and I fkd up somewhere. You can intuit A LOT from how she reacts after you ask this as well. Every good date interaction I've had online.. and I mean nearly every damn one, has happened when the girl gave me the number effortlessly and followed my lead enthusiastically

It sounds like you don’t have her contact information. It hurts but hey this is the least painful way to go. Give it a week or two for the reality of it to set in. You have a good mindset in not being negative about her. Like “that bitch didn’t call me what a bitch.” Being positive and accepting rejection is the healthy way to go. Be a catch for the next girl or the next or the next.

If you find yourself in a position like this in the future, don’t punish someone for being kind to you. I found myself in your exact position multiple times (except it was OkCupid, times were different.) I’d put these girls out of my mind but I would send them a kind, lighthearted text after six months and then every few years, depending on my relationship status. I’d be honest about being in a period where I’m not seeing anyone right now and there’s this thing I’d like to do at specific date /time. Tailor it to what you and her enjoy doing together, like going to the zoo or seeing this particular band or comedian. If there was ever any hey leave me alone message then done, never contacted them again. One was in a bad place in her life when we went on our original dates (her words not mine) Years later I messaged her something sincere and personalized to her based on our mutual experience (pickup lines are lazy and will not get you anyone worth getting) and now I’m trying to be quiet so she doesn’t wake up on the couch next to me. We’re getting married next month.

Stay positive, stay kind, accept failure and move on when necessary, don’t play crazy psycho games, don’t try and “trick” her with the batshit ideas some few people post in this toxic fucking subreddit (I swear most of you guys are cool but every other day I see dating advice from Seinfeld’s Kramer), cast a wide net, be worth catching, don’t aim for someone out of your range, don’t get anyone pregnant or get a disease, and you can find your happiness as well. Don't expect women to abruptly point out your bitter disadvantages during the date, even men equipped with boldness hormones are reluctant to do that. Read between the lines and keep in mind that women usually seek some extraordinary quality and feelings, not a standard boring dating experience. Even if you vibed well and created a connection, that's not enough for a potential lover or boyfriend. Prepare for the worst and be surprised with a good luck, not other way around.

I’m sorry bro, you got straight up rejected. It hurts worse when there was no reason and everything went ok this stuff happens. If it was bad for you to make a Reddit post then you might be having trouble coping.

The finer the girl the worse it is, but the only way for it to not break you is for you to invest in yourself. When you’re building yourself into boss shit like this doesn’t really hurt that much because you’re so invested in yourself than the girl. Plus dating app girls mostly just want attention and validation for ego boost, especially the fine ones.

This type of stuff used to get me down bad especially when you run into ruthless women. I realized the true way to overcome this is to never make a woman your top thought or priority especially in the beginning, setting yourself up for a bad time and it affects how you text girls.

Move like you have motion even if you don’t and they will follow. If not then you won’t care to begin with because you have motion and shit like this is peanuts compared to what you’re building

VERDICT: Not to be rude, but her initial interest was low to moderate at best, so once your “logistics” were planned at a safe/public place instead of at your house for Proper Seduction (“Advanced Game”), your fate was already sealed and then confirmed once you played the whole “Safe Dancing Clown” Friendly/Flirting Guy with no “escalating” reciprocation from her.

There are multiple words and phrases that guys unknowingly use to signal their “Nice Guy/Friends Only Energy” — So once you said “flirted” (Proper “flirting” is rooted in Logistics) and “got to know her” (“Advanced” understanding needed) I already knew you were Cooked.

Girls often delete tinder matches after getting the number. Doesn’t mean they aren’t interested. Not sure why they do it but I’ve continued relationships with girls who’ve done it to me.

Edit: I reread and noticed you didn’t continue talking on number. So maybe she’s just not interested then. When it happens to me it’s usually after we’ve moved to WhatsApp or messages, but maybe she’ll text you. If not - onto the next !

You'll get a hundred different opinions on "what went wrong" but the truth is you're unlikely to ever know.

I had this happen once and it bothered me more than it should have. It became even more confusing when she rematched with me 2-3x over the following year and would randomly unmatch after we started planning another date. I finally found my balls and blocked her after the last time, but I should have had the self respect to do that earlier.

I know it won't feel like it, but her actions matter more than the reasons. When we want something, our brains get too creative at giving us hope and making excuses for someone's behaviour. You're thinking in terms of maybe she'll reach out by text, maybe she'll come back, but I'd try to think in terms of what she did do - she vanished without a word.I don't think that's morally wrong after a single date, but it isn't the communication or care you're looking for.

I think of the saying "go where you are wanted". Find girls who appreciate you and want to jump you in a bed. Don't waste anymore time thinking about this than you have to and do your best to not bring the disappointment/baggage into your next interactions.

Good learning lessons are often painful. I'm sorry this happened to you, but you'll make it into a useful experience.

She probably wasn’t vibing nearly as much as you were… girls are pretty good at “faking” it if they aren’t feeling it.

Also it really is too bad that there isn’t secretly someone recording the interaction so they could watch it back-often when someone thinks that they are “effortlessly vibing” it’s because they actually hijacked the interaction and spent most of the time doing the talking. When there is a date where the talking is split like 90-10, people often don’t realize that in the moment, and for the one who did the 90, the date feels like it was going superbly well. That applies to both the guys and the gals. Also if the date ends with sex, and the sex is good… that will paper over any shortcomings from the date itself.

If it doesn't end with a kiss that's not going well imo. I always go for the kiss if the date has lasted at least 2 hours or so. If she gives me the cheek turn and/or says she doesn't kiss on the first date, I move on and never talk to her again.

A kiss is just the simplest affirmation that you like someone.

Talking for a week and a half before the first date isn’t ideal. This kills mystery and anticipation. Conversation online should be brief and logistical: otherwise, what’s the point of the date? Secondly, she refused to use your phone number and stayed on the app instead. That would imply that she had no serious intentions in getting to know you personally. Maybe she was bored; maybe she just wanted the attention. If a woman doesn’t use your phone number after you’ve given it to her and still messages you on the app, then it’s best to just unmatch and move on to the next one. The date went well for you, but did it really go that well for her? If it did, then she likely wouldn’t have unmatched you on the app: the place where the initial conversation began and stayed. It’s a Sisyphean life man, but you don’t need to despair. In situations like this, you just gotta laugh and keep it moving.

Yeah no, that means the date didn't go well. Sure I believe you it was pleasant, but a good date means you at the very least are kissing before the date is over but preferably take her home.

Its not really about doing anything right or wrong on a date. It's more about feeling out mutual chemistry. She likely just wasn't feeling it and found it easier to ghost you then explain.

Online dating makes it easier to meet people but also just as easy to ghost people. Personally, I treat online dating very casually for this reason.
