Just remember that shit tests are not performed with the idea of "testing" you in mind. Its a form of disqualification from which you can reveal higher value. Just another way to look at it, but I think the angle from which you're gaming from can set up a better frame.

This particular shit test is a really good example of something I've been thinking about, that maybe there are two types of shit tests. The first is what we talk about the most. It's essentially a qualification round as a potential suitor or friend. The second however, let's take a look.

"So how come everytime I see you, you look away? Am I scary?"

I think she's looking for validation here. She's calling him out, basically saying, "there's something between us, right?" She's asking him to admit attraction, because she's curious whether there's something there. Think about it from her side, this is a very potentially awkward text message.

Good thing OP does is instead of being like, "omg becuz i like you," (which is essentially what she's getting at), he teases her back and flips it around on her. Somewhat validates her suspicions all the while making himself seem more attractive and mysterious.

I once was baffled with a shit test and failed miserably, because I didn't know what or how to reply. So I kinda ignored her. The shit throwing did how ever diminished. But not the right way.
