Well said. For most of us, they'll never be a more perfect time to learn a new skill, build a new business, work on a hobby, read new books or practice learning a new language.

Unfortunately, the majority of people will choose the easy route; Netflix binges, unbridled access to porn, mindless social media scrolling and whatever other semiconscious activities can mask their inaction.

Be the rare guy that comes out of this a winner, not a loser. This will pay massive dividends. It reminds me of a quote "Observe the masses and do the opposite."

work on yourself. Do something productive. Think about the shit you’ve been putting off and just fucking do it. Stop beating off every 5 minutes and work on yourself. Improve yourself.

Any suggestions on what to do concretely aside from some vague "work on yourself"?

My "working on myself" was going to the gym, traveling, visiting museums and monuments, taking part in social activities and of course go and meet girls out there. None of that can be done right now for several months and I'm not coping well with this at all.

So what are some real, tangible things that can be done to not fall into a fucking depression these days?

Yes! Deleted tinder from my phone yesterday and it felt good! Will only do the bare minimum in keeping in touch with some women the next few weeks and rather focus on myself for a while. Now of to get some workout supplies!

Yup Girls are not important right now , they can wait. I fixed up my house and cleaned up the basement and yard. I Also did factory maintenance on my car . I went for nice jogs around the block and weightlifting. At the beginning of the quarantine I was jacking off 5x a day not doing shit. I've only recently filled it around and started doing HIIT + Yoga; wo activities that are easy to do from home. I also disabled all phone notifications and bought myself a DJ controller to learn how to beat mix :)
