As a woman, I just thought I'd share what I told my teenage son.

Most important things to notice before asking a girl out:

  1. Does she engage in conversation with you? Not two word responses, but actually have lively discussions with you.

  2. Does she smile at you alot?

  3. Most importantly, does she physically let you into her space? This is a green light, take it (ask her out on a date! ) if you wait too long, she will think you are not interested.

3b. If she actually physically touches you, brushes her hand on your arm or hugs you a bit too long. Ask her if you can kiss her.
