I don't how what you're talking about when you say you have a feminine side. I already knew 3 guys who I'd say were gay because of their way of talking or moving. But no only they were not gay, they also had girlfriends for a long time.

Talk way less, use eye contact more. If you feel your inner child getting ready to burst out and start babbling, continue to look in the other person's eyes and tell yourself, "Slow down."

Be emotionally unreactive to any kind of negativity or drama. But be happy and welcoming to good feelings like a funny joke, or a compliment.

When you're interested in a girl and neither of you are talking, still give polite, quiet attention to whoever is talking. But you can look at the girl very occasionally, a really quick glance as if you're a couple and you're checking if she's bored, if her glass is full and so on. The less frequently the better. One thing that always works is to just shut your mouth. Not gonna lie I used to be this way talked way to much always kinda fidgety and moving one place to another doing different things in social situations. I learned to pick a spot shut up and listen to other people and speak up only when I have a really good point or something of value to say, people react to differently to you instantly. Also women like a little mystery so don’t reveal all your cards.

What I have notice about “masculine” vs “non masculine” mannerisms in men is where they carry their weight balance wise. I don’t mean like muscle and fat but how you carry yourself. Masculine men I think tend to carry themselves in there upper body/shoulders/ribs with hips being stiffer where as a more “feminine” man will carry himself lower, in the hip area. This doesn’t mean walk around like you have a stick up your a** but just carry your balance and energy in your upper body

I would say the main thing is a state of mind.

A state of mind that no matter what you will be okay, that even if things go for you or against you, you will be able to deal with it. If you can only grasp onto what you are capable of, we limit ourselves.

Before you relied on someone for something, now if you don't get what you want you easily walk away as if it is nothing. You move on until you get what you are looking for. People see that you don't need other people, that you are a source of strength that can be relied on.

Well, different from me (26F), a guy once liked me said i am manly. I haven’t gotten the chance to experiment with this in a social setting yet because of quarantine but exposing your neck is a symbol of comfort, since its a vulnerable body part and theres like an important artery or some shit on both sides that you’ll die if it gets cut but anyways, in the very little opportunity ive had to try this out i noticed it makes it easier to speak more fluently, also it keeps you physically present in the body because when you tilt your head in forwards that blocks the energy in your head making you think more

If you’re somebody who doesn’t already work out (especially lifting), starting to do so might be helpful. Not only in terms of the increased muscle mass, but just the confidence that comes with getting stronger. It might sound silly, but I absolutely think the effect is real! I’ve seen it. Also, some of the behaviors you describe can often signal underlying anxiety. Not necessarily clinical anxiety, but aspects of yourself/situations you aren’t comfortable with. Do you think that could be contributing? If so - lots of possible ways to work on it! It’s best not to focus on “looking more masculine” but instead addressing the feelings that are driving the unwanted behaviors.

Talk less, listen more perhaps? Work out, not just to get stronger but also specifically to improve your posture, making it easier to naturally keep a good and confident posture. Dont pretend to be someone you're not though, you can become more masculine gradually i reckon but yeah be yourself still man. The way you've described yourself sounds a lot like me, and I'm super talkative and have also been trying to improve socially. I dont think its been killing how people look at me though, definitely not guys at least, maybe women though. So far ive never had a girlfriend.

Obviously you need to acquire more personality settings beyond high. Having one setting exhausts people. They prefer modulations in speed and tone. So learn to dial the energy back when you sense you’re getting too manic, maybe even pass the conversation off to someone else ie., “What do you think person-sitting -next-to -me?” That’s one thing I do when I feel I’ve been going on too long. I pass the torch.

A manic delivery can work. Russell Brand made a career out of it. But he’s clever and apprehends the significance of cultural waypoints in English and American society. He doesn’t even have to understand them. He is the court jester...well, no. Maybe he’s more Oscar Wilde.

Take the good suggestions and apply them consistently. You have to be aware and keep doing them until they become natural.

Even then you'll still have to occasionally check yourself. If you don't grow up with certain mannerisms it takes some time to correct.

Maybe try doing a physical activity that tires you out. Might help get some of the energy down.

Try incorporating a pause into your reactions. If you’re in a room with two other people for instance - let at least one person express themselves before you do. High energy people tend to think and react faster than everyone else. Slowing things down a tad, comes across as being a little more confident and relaxed to a woman.

Speak from your chest, not your nose. Practice this by holding your nostrils and talk.

Don't be afraid to say no.

If you get nervous, maybe slow down your talking speed a bit and take time think about what you're gonna say before you say it. Don't feel like you have to rush to say what's on your mind.
