- She's trying to present herself as someone who takes things slow and isnt a ho, because she's probably someone who is quick to sex and everyone knows it and her friends have told her that so now she needs to give the image that she isnt quick with it and she can tell her friends "see im going but im not having sex iwht him so tha tmeans im not a ho". So setting it up as platonic is her way of setting that image. But if you play your cards right you might end up getting some.

- You are her sexless innkeeper (HIMYM joke if you havent seen it). Premise is, when a girl is too far from her house, has no ride, she'll entertain a guy who lives nearby for the free room and board. Not fuck him and then go home the next day when she's sobered up. She's 20 so i imagine she doesnt have much money for hotels. My bet is she is going to experience the city on as little money as possible and as safely as possible.

I would definitely respect the boundary, but like others have said, don’t look at it as she’s coming out of town to stay with me and look at it as a second date where most women would allude to not being a ho. Don’t invest too much time or money, read the chemistry not the words, respect the boundary as stated, but don’t be afraid to playfully move it towards that and heat check the reception.

The comments here are crazy. She's met you once and is visiting you from out of town and willing to stay with you. That definitely is a sign that she's interested. Also mentioning sex at all is a sign that she's thinking about it.

Having been a frequent resident of the friend zone when I was younger this does not sound like that at all. It would be more like "This is just as friends, I don't view you that way".

When she's over just see how it goes. You don't need to be super aggressive, chances are she's going to make herself very clear either way in her actions.

I think it's fine, I mean obviously not the most optimal situation to be in, but it's not a redlight to flirting and seeing if you can catch a vibe. Some guys are very aggressive and think because they let a girl stay at her place then she is going to sleep with them 100% of the time which is why she might be outright setting this boundary. Also she barely knows you which makes her comments make more sense in context. There's a world you are friendzoned already but also maybe not, so this is your time to find out. There's no downside to being friend zoned unless you simply have no options or she's a shitty friend, in which case the only downsides are if you continue to be her friend after that.

The first criteria of friendship is she needs to actually hang out with you. That's not a bf ask, that's a friend ask. If one of my male friends asks if he can spend the night but has no intention of hanging out with me, that's not a friend, that's a guy using me to save on hotel costs.

If you're out and about and there's chemistry, shoot your shot. If she doesn't reciprocate, feel free to hit on other women while you're out. This shouldn't bother her, as you're not a couple after all. If she's truly uninterested, she should support this endeavor. I found more often than not the girl actually is interested and she thinks she can get away with taking it slow with you, but once you've established competition anxiety, it expedites her being more open to your advances.
