Problem is that healing and grief is often expressed as anger in men. Often we are like a pressure cooker while silently taking abuse. So when men openly express their feelings and hurt, society and culture doesn’t understand it and tries to control it. I’ve learned that there is little empathy for men in pain or suffering. But also with new technology, social media permitted the collective and communication of men’s issues. This has never been done before since men are now able to connect the dots on relationship patterns with other men.

Surely we can take this higher this sub I’m pretty sure has helped stop people from taking there own life. There will always be good and bad view points in life, you can’t control other people’s opinions and it’s a dangerous path to go down if we try to do that. Always remember “we choose to be offended by something” It’s a sign of intelligence to ignore and not have an opinion on everything. If we don’t allow a place for people to share how they are feeling (even if that’s anger or hate filled) those feelings will be turned inwards and as we see in daily life the results of that can be devastating.

Do Ike it. Don’t join or read, it’s not hard. But I’m sure there are many bitter feminists who would love to see this sub burn. This sub has helped countless men with solid advice.

*mod - and thanks to those who have reported - I’ll take the sub private if I have to and impose a breaking dads type policy - but the problem is some guys find this sub in crisis - which is where we really shine despite our warts - let’s just work together

As a man who is recently divorced, the bitterness and hatred toward women in this sub is crazy to me. The regular Divorce sub has been much more helpful to me. I kinda just read this one for the train wreck aspect.

I do find it interesting that this sub is thriving, yet r/divorce_women hasn’t had a post in 3 years.

Could it be that they ate their own and we actually look out for each other? Can’t be it. Must be the male privilege.
