It's simple, if men were truly evil by nature, the patriarchy would have resulted in no laws against rape, murder, or sexual assault of a woman. Yet we have the opposite, more laws against rape and sexual assault against woman than against men - where some countries don't even recognise that it exists or downplay it when it does. Not only is this true, but it is true in virtually all countries and virtually all time in history, even when there was not a single woman in power. So if anyone ever questions the morality of man, this is the response, men have chosen to protect women by law even under the patriarchy when they had no obligation to. This proves the morality of men.

This is what it's like to hate an entire group, and not have the slightest bit of empathy for the actual problem.

I don't associate with "predators", regardless of gender. Whether it's loud political assholes who demand certain groups shouldn't have human rights, or disgusting capitalists justifying worker abuse, or any goddamn piece of trash that makes any excuses for emotionally or physically abusing others, I cut them out of my social circle like the cancer they are. And I strongly encourage everyone to do the same.

In reality, most men do not have a healthy support network. And despite the projection of this outlandish bigot's line of thought, I'd plainly argue that most men (and hopefully women) subscribe to a moral code where they will not look the other way if they know about a person's wrongdoings in their social circles.

Not once in my life has a man ever said to me personally, even in jest, that they committed a serious crime. And I'm kind of old, and have some significantly older friends. Not once. Because we live in a society with some pretty reasonable standards, and for men at very least, that means knowing that:

Crime is bad. Most crime, and especially violent crime, harms others.
Crime is punished by consequences, not just by the law but by social norms.
Your friends and family only support you as well as they know you, so keep bad things to yourself.

It takes a special kind of human trash to commit crime and then brag about it, IMO. Bigoted feminists like the maker of these images genuinely believe that men don't have values, and that we just brag and enable horrible behavior in each other because that's what men do. There's absolutely no evidence for it, it's just a lunatic's interpretation of psychology; broadcast online as if it were fact.

And the truly disgusting part is how many other people agree with it.

Men are not a monoculture group. We do not collude as half of the planet's population against the other half. The very premise is preposterous. Throw this shit back in their faces and demand to be treated as a human being and not a predator accomplice.

This is so dumb and grotesquely misandrist I don't know where to start. From its portrayal of "predation" as a thing only men do and only women can be victims of, to its implication that the only good men are the "heroic" ones who intervene to defend victims of predation, as if men were somehow obliged to put their lives at risk for the security of strangers. Also of course it isn't backed by any source in the slightest.

Basically 90% of men are predators or at least somewhat complicit until they actively intervene, but how do you know who will intervene? 99.9999% probably never get the opportunity. Some feminist made a post criticizing the "what about your father?" sentiment made towards them and she said "yeah it's okay to be wary of him because he's a man" I imagine the outrage if that was about a black man. These elements are not mutually exclusive and sometimes conditional which makes this not function as a true spectrum. It would be more accurate to model it as a spectrum of threshold to act and a separate threshold of awareness influenced by multiple factors, familiarity, and personal experiences. The above element of good vs. bad is separable however in reality no one is truly good or truly evil. We are all somewhere in-between. If "The Good Place" has taught anything, its that modern society has made it impossible to do good without also doing harm. Even cruel people can sometimes do good (though maybe for the wrong reasons). Even heroes have failed and have flaws.

Okay sure, guys are all different, with different attitudes toward progressive values, and you could probably measure their attitudes on various things and arrange them into gradients, but... not here. There is a little bit of gray area (things like alcohol, social power imbalance, misunderstandings, non-verbal consent, etc.) but for the most part, the line between "rapist" and "not rapist" is pretty sharp.

The thing that bothers me even more about this chart, however, is just how fundamentally illogical it is. Frankly, it offends my nerd sensibilities. This is not the right kind of chart for complicated issues. When you make a linear chart like this, you need to be measuring only a single variable, or at least a combined index of things that are heavily correlated, otherwise you can have contradictions. Just as an example, what about a person who enjoys rough porn and CNC roleplay? That puts them in the 75% evil category according to this chart, but they can enjoy their dirty fantasies without actively encouraging predation or believing certain women deserve it. They might also believe rape outside of a CNC scene is wrong, and immediately intervene if they saw an obvious sex crime in progress. So which is it? Are they hero, or villain? How can they be 0% evil, and 75% evil at the same time while also not meeting the criteria for 50% evilness?

The problem here is that the person who made this chart is taking a big complicated mashup of complicated, uncorrelated, and heavily diverging opinions and values, and presenting them as a singe "evilness" index. It's not really an objective measure of evil, so much as it's a measure of "agrees with me" to "disagrees with me."

I actually like it. I think the gradient is really just a measurement of how much you contribute to the issue.

White being a positive force that actively does something against the issue.

Red being the committer of the act.

The closer you are to red, the more you allow the issue to exist.

I agree with other guys saying it shouldn't be so dramatic to not have anything positive less than hero, but I'd guess the OP would be willing to hear that argument.

It's a very complex social issue, and men's lack of awareness could definitely be a contributing factor as to why this issue goes a bit more unnoticed before it happens.

Think of the Weis market shooting. It's outrageous because the signs were unseen by everyone, and if they were seen nothing was done.

It's a problem men were guilty of since Greece.
