I identify as an Egalitarian rather than an MRA but a lot of posts have been popping up on twitter of posts by Paul Elam that I, personally, previously had not seen. The content of such posts is... problematic. Feminists have been using these posts as ammo against MRAs and it's hard to argue with them when AVFM is the biggest name in Men's Rights. the posts in question:

http://www.avoiceformen.com/mens-rights/jury-duty-at-a-rape-trial-acquit/ here Elam states that if given jury duty at a rape trial, you should vote to acquit, even if the evidence overwhelmingly proves that rape was committed. This opinion is clearly not something widespread among members of the movement or this subreddit.

http://www.avoiceformen.com/mens-rights/false-rape-culture/challenging-the-etiology-of-rape/ here he basically states, and I'm paraphrasing, that if a woman hangs out in bars and is promiscuous with men without having sex, then if they get raped, they essentially had it coming. He doesn't even frame it as "women should be careful and more responsible so they don't get raped." he frames it as women who behave somewhat irresponsibly should expect to be raped. He even puts quotation marks around the word "victim" to imply that it happened because they were dumb.

these views are fairly reprehensible in my opinion and don't represent the general body of people who frequent this subreddit. I believe that people of this subreddit should call Paul Elam out on these statements and make it clear to all that this kind of stuff isn't at all supported by MRAs.
