I wait until exclusivity is established (usually 3 months) Mainly because for me, feelings get real and it’s harder to walk away once I have sex. I get hooked. I agree though, if he wasn’t able to stay interested if you had hooked up early on, then he wouldn’t be worth sticking around for anyway, but it’s almost impossible to tell. I’ve noticed that the ones primarily just in it for sex will disappear after date 3.

Thank you so much! Keto is just so hard to maintain I don’t think I could do it long term, but you drop weight super quick and I know it’s mostly water, but that water weight makes a difference. Ugh I wish we could all get together and just have a giant community of women levelling up and helping one another. Shallon certainly has her issues but I’ve learned with her to not throw the baby out with the bath water. She makes strong points in her videos and there’s a lot of truth in the things she …

I levelled up physically hardcore last year. I personally go for the high maintenance look, and it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I find it works for what my goals are. Here’s what has really taken my appearance to the next level: Lost about 50 lbs over the span of a year and a few months. Slow weight loss has reduced any loose skin, and it has been a breeze to maintain. I count calories daily and work out 4x a week with HIIT and steady state cardio. My New Years resolution is to get lean af a…

I’ve dated some hotties and it has never led to love... a hot body is essentially worthless if there’s no connection.

It’s kind of interesting because since implementing FDS, guys (LVM and otherwise) take me way more seriously and only step up if they think they can handle it. I’ll get a fuckboi here and there who maybe takes me on 3 dates, but that’ll be the extent of it and he’ll give up because I don’t put out. But it’s rare these days that I don’t get asked out on a second date, whereas just a year and a half ago I would rarely get asked out on a second date by a guy I was actually into. The change has been…

I really find this to be true. I have a friend who men are absolutely crazy about and I always wondered why. I recently realized it’s because she always pretends to care about what they’re talking about and never undermines them. I, on the other hand, will not pretend to give a shit about what you’re saying if I don’t give a shit about what you’re saying. I used to think there was something wrong with me, instead I think I just repel insecure men. That’s cool!

Even the older men are addicts. The only ones who don’t watch it are the guys who do nofap - so the ones who are purposefully abstaining because they know how addictive it is and they’ve been there. Honestly though, I respect those guys. Lots of self awareness there.

Last guy I dated said he’d never actually approach me because I looked too “high maintenance”. Lol ok, bud, you just outed yourself about the fact that you have shit for self esteem. What guy doesn’t want to be with a girl who wears heels and takes pride in her appearance? Insecure guys. Because if she’s too hot, she could realize that you’re not that special and leave your ass at the drop of a hat. Gotta keep her in her place, amirite?

Ok I’m 28 but I don’t see myself slowing down anytime soon... I plan to date younger guys, because even as women age, we still have WAY more options than men do, let’s be real. Been dating younger lately too and it’s kind of nice! I have no idea why, but I’m excited to be a cougar.

I’d be hesitant to marry any man who was in a relationship from the age of 18 onward and never had those crucial years to be single and “feel free”. He will end up resenting you.

I had the opportunity to get married when I was your age and I am very very happy I didn’t do it. I’ll be 28 next week and I love who I have become, and I wouldn’t be who I am today if I had gotten married at 22. I’d probably be a stay at home mom with 3 kids cleaning up after my much older husband and living in the rural US south, rather than a marketing manager living alone in a downtown condo in the city of my dreams who is now creating her own business. It’s more in the little things and the nuances I’ve noticed in his interactions with his friends or other people. I can just tell that he rarely stands up for himself and lets people walk all over him - it’s not just in how he treats me, you know? But even in the interactions him and I have together, things like him profusely apologizing for tiny little things I don’t even notice, almost like he feels his existence is a burden to others and he has to constantly do things for them to make up for …

Thanks for your comment! This is my fear, I can tell through interactions I’ve seen between him and his friends on the phone that he just kind of bows to whatever they want, he’s the type who will go above and beyond for people but they’d never do it in return for him. He seems to be lacking a backbone. But it’s still early which is why I wanted everyone’s advice. He seems like such a kind hearted and gentle guy, but if I can’t respect someone I have such a hard time enjoying their company.

Nice! I love shit like this. This happened to me on a first date just a few weeks ago. We were going to go to the Keg but due to timing issues it didn’t work out, he made back up reservations at a different nice restaurant and we went there instead! Going on our third date Saturday, and he’s going to mount my tv for me before we go out lol. Hoping this behaviour sticks.

Ok I was out for a walk last night and 2 different men approached me at different times and walked with me for about a km each. It was late and I didn’t know how to tell them to fuck off without potentially being at risk. They were asking me questions like this shit, my name, what I do for work, how old I am, etc. I usually pull out the boyfriend card and that made one of them disappear, but when I mentioned it to the second guy he didn’t care and kept walking with me, saying we were walking tow…

It can be beneficial to be objective about your perceived attractiveness. It creates realistic expectations for what you want out of life and in a partner and can also allow you to change yourself to create better outcomes. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be hot or get hotter and using a rating scale is a dumbed down way to assess yourself. I will rate myself if I want to.

Nice! This is solid advice. You and I sound alike, I’d consider myself a 7 but friends tell me I’m an 8. I live downtown too but I always avoid eye contact because I don’t want to be approached. The odd time I’ve been in a good mood and smile at strangers I always get people initiating conversations with me. I guess I just need to be more open and push myself outside of that comfort zone and welcome anyone for a chat. I plan on volunteering once covid settles down. That’s definitely a great way …

The good ones are not taken by 30. Many men getting graduate degrees won’t settle until mid 30’s. Don’t ever tell yourself that all the good ones are gone by a certain age. Oh, and keep in mind that younger dudes can be high value and are malleable and easier to train. Abundance is real. Get out of that scarcity mindset.

For sure! I definitely respected her for having standards and making it clear to the matchmaker what she wouldn’t settle on. I just think that if you have high standards you first need to make sure you’re meeting those yourself before expecting them in a partner
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/07/20 10:28 PM

I found her to be insufferable and she completely lacked self awareness. I think all of this stems from severe insecurity deep down - she has to make herself seem too good for everyone else because she’s never been good enough for her mother. It’s a defence mechanism. If she was open to introspection and actually was actively working on figuring out why she had such a hard time attracting the right guy, I’d respect her so much more. I was gonna say, she MARRIED this guy? I’m assuming she’s around his age. Ladies, please please wait to get married. You are wiser and more discerning in your 30’s. Don’t get legally bound to someone who will ruin the best years of your life
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/07/20 07:13 PM
22

I don’t think she’s saying that because he’s attractive it makes him high value. She’s hitting on a specific topic and making a point that it’s important to find someone who thinks you’re irresistible and makes a point to tell you so. It’s also important to be with a partner you yourself find physically attractive.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/07/20 05:13 PM

Yikes. This happened to me, I was 22 and he was 34. In my case I was very much in love, but he wanted to get married and I of course didn’t want that, so thankfully he fucked off. I really don’t know what advice to give, she likely won’t listen to any reason you might have. Hopefully she just figures it out for herself. He’s probably awful.

Just finished reading it for the first time. The message is on point, but I wish she outed men for being trash more often and made the point of dropping him if he slips up and disrespects you. It seems a bit more like a way to get a boyfriend rather than to get a GOOD boyfriend.

Why don’t they just once TRY to actually change? Instead of changing your behaviour to get positive reactions from others, try changing your mentality to get positive reactions from yourself, you fucking idiot. You’ll actually end up being a lot happier and there’s no part to play. You’ll just exist as a person who truly likes yourself.

You don’t need to put up with this. I have dated guys that do it, and I have dated guys that never once did it, so it’s not just something they all do. Or if they all do it, some are more respectful to their female company and won’t do it in her presence. I will not date a guy that does this though, I find it to be very disrespectful

Most women don’t respond to men who haven’t given them SOME sort of sign of interest. It’s just typically not how our brains operate. We by nature tend to be responders and we fixate on guys who give us attention in the beginning and then remove that attention later on. That’s the real issue, and that is much harder to break than some crush on Dean the bartender who never even makes eye contact with you. Alsoooo, if a male is physically attracted to you he will never close the door to a potentia…

I literally never expect them to follow through until they say “let’s meet at x spot at x time” and then that’s that. If they say “let’s go out Wednesday” and never tell me where or when then I just make other plans. Not really necessary to confirm the day of if they’ve already told me the day and time and made it clear they have made reservations.

Insecurity is loud, confidence is quiet. This man is boasting on bullshit to get laid. If he actually was secure in himself he would let his accomplishments speak for themselves over time.

The authors of The Rules suggest only allowing a reschedule once during the courtship phase, because yes sometimes shit happens and he better have a great excuse. If he cancels more than once then he just doesn’t like you that much.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/07/20 07:05 PM

Your opinion of yourself is too low and your view of how men regard you is too high. You need to reverse these two things. Once you do, rejection will happen less, and when it does, you won’t really care because you know who you are - they don’t.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/07/20 04:09 AM
64

This is it. We all know the true nature of men with the help of the FDS handbook. Sure men are trash, but we have to stop blaming our problems on men - we are smarter than that now. If you keep letting them do this shit to you, then you’re the one to blame. Ladies, stop putting up with it. If you cut them off at the first red flag then you won’t be in these types of situations.

In cases where he is of marriageable age (28-35) i agree with your premise, 1-2 years is plenty. But the guy in this scenario was 23 when they first began dating so it’s definitely not the same situation, i think he can have a bit more slack, but he should propose VERY soon or I would be out

One of the last straws for me before finding FDS was this disaster of man who love bombed me and then ghosted me after like 2 weeks. He said all the right things and did all the right moves to make me think he wanted something serious, but when I didn’t put out after 4 dates he disappeared. I sat around wondering what was wrong with ME. Lol I was such a fool, nothing was ever wrong with me - he was just a master at manipulation and only wanted one thing. These guys don’t deserve your energy. Don…

Right? I don’t understand these males claiming they’re being used for free meals... I can buy myself a meal, that’s not the point. I would rather eat carrots at home than spend an hour and a half with someone I’m not really into just to get a free meal. Come on.

I didn’t even realize it was bad at the time, but a guy I dated last year did this all the time. He had lived in NYC for many years before moving here and one time I mentioned to him I’ve always wanted to live in NYC. He then proceeded to lecture me on how New York is very competitive and expensive and not for the faint of heart. Like, ok? I still am allowed to want to live there though. He did this with a lot of shit and in hindsight I can’t believe I didn’t pick up on it.

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/07/20 10:03 PM

I’m more concerned about the fact that the moment she mentioned she may not even want to marry him, he all of a sudden decides that’s what HE wants, whereas prior to this she says he was fading on her. This is low value behaviour coming from a man who is not self aware. He all of a sudden decides he can’t live without her because she decided she can live without him? He sounds like a child who doesn’t want anyone else playing with his toy.

She recently got engaged but her fiancé feels very “meh” about her... he said to her best friend that she isn’t his dream girl, that she’s a nice girl but he wishes she wasn’t so accommodating and would stand up for herself more. Why did he propose to her then? Because they dated for 7 years and he’s 33 and it’s just time. He’ll never love her the way she deserves and that makes…

All of us can find excuse after excuse, but blaming others won’t change your situation, you know? Tbh I think ego rules men‘s actions more than their desire to procreate. Social status trumps all when it comes to what dictates what a man will do.... at least in public. I agree with your second point, that they still constantly think about sex no matter if they’re committed or not, I think that’s pretty common knowledge. We don’t really know. Doctors never helped her. She has always been very sensitive to anything and everything that goes into her body and we believe that she was unable to process the heavy metals and her immune system spent all its energy trying to attack this foreign object. Yes because on your deathbed you’re not going to be thinking of all the amazing times you had with your family and how grateful you are that you contributed something to the world. You’ll be reflecting on all the super hot women you were able to sleep with for like a year and a half. This mentality is insane to me. Porn is really perpetuating this mindset though. I really don’t think men were thinking like this 50 years ago, because they didn’t have unlimited access to millions of images and videos of incredibly attractive women. They think they’re entitled to do what the male actor does to her and that it’s a cruel and unfair world if they don’t get to fulfill that fantasy. What grown ass adult thinks like this? Men lead us on ruthlessly with promises of love and commitment to get us to sleep with them. Once we do, they ghost us, abuse us and take advantage of our incredible value. It’s time for women to stop using their empathetic and maternal instincts on men (who understand the game) and reserve that for family and friends. We need to be playing this game just as hard as they do, if we don’t, then we lose. I’m happy you didn’t listen to your friend! Pickmeisha friends are the worst.

”Also because I’m also casually dating another guy and there’s an ex who has been giving me gifts recently to try to get me back, but I haven’t told him that part. “ And don’t tell him about that part, it’s none of his business 😊 let that ex keep getting you gifts, girl. It’s hard not to get addicted to their attention and it’s fun to play games and manipulate them, but there always needs to be a benefit from it ($$$$ or commitment) and we should never sleep with them to get it. Never get emotionally involved with males who only want to sleep with you - just use their lust for you to your advantage, if that’s your thing. They’re pretty dumb.

I agree. I’m not in the legal field, I do marketing, but many workplaces function similarly. Do good work, make friendly small talk and just keep your head where it needs to be. You don’t need to be a part of any cliques at work - sometimes it can be beneficial, but in your case it seems to be hindering you. Just stay out of it. 7 weeks isn’t really him being that patient IMO. I recently ended things with a guy I was dating for 6 months and never slept with, he never said a word about it, as is proper. Don’t feel like you owe him anything and do not feel pressured into sex because he is spending money on a hotel. If it were me I’d even go so far as to ask for a separate room if he’s not my boyfriend yet. I wouldn’t pay for anything if I were you. Very pickmeisha move. I don’t understand this bullshit logic. No one, no matter how mentally resilient and how self assured they are, is immune to being damaged by being taken advantage of and treated as an object or a means to an end. Porn is what sparks these thoughts in them. They think that’s how it works in real life. Women will not be throwing themselves anywhere near this man. If he leaves he will seriously regret it, but let’s not tell him that. He needs to learn the hard way that no one wants his ass.

Lmao roasted. Honestly though, he should just leave. She will be happier and better off. Fuck him for proposing to her at such a young age knowing full well she’s the only woman he would sleep with for the rest of his life - THATS HOW MARRIAGE WORKS U FUCKING MORON. Leave her and watch how many men flock to her and how you will get 0 pussy. He’ll regret it and I hope she never lets him come back.

They really do think their value goes up over time for literally no reason. Like, yes boy, if you’re a multi millionaire and your funds are multiplying by the day, that’s valuable and you’ll be able to get the women you want. But 95% of these scrotes will never anything remotely close to that, they’re just going to get uglier. They’re living in a fantasy.

First of all, yikes. Secondly though, there is some solace in the fact that he recognizes it’s wrong. I hope he gets out of it and helps himself be better for her during her pregnancy, she needs support, not a pornsick hubby jacking off in the den at all hours of the day and night while she’s got morning sickness.

Men are very specific about what physical type they’re into. Each one may have a different preference, but guaranteed, if you’re not exactly his type and somehow you convince him to marry you, he will either become a serial cheater or fucking murder you. Look at Laci Peterson and Scott’s obsession with his true dream girl Amber Frey. Laci was the one who asked Scott out and convinced him to marry. This shit is actually dangerous.

Yeah i don’t get the point that baldy is making here. If anything it makes males look bad and women look reasonable, because at least we have well rounded standards for a potential mate that will ultimately benefit us and our future children. Males only care that she’s sexy and has a tight pu**y from never pushing out any kids. God forbid they have to care for another mans child. Side note: never listen to bald men. Especially bald men with beards. They bitter af.

Men work on reverse psychology. They will basically do whatever it is you don’t want them to do, just because they want to be in control, and if they submit to your will, they feel trapped. Even if they wanted what you want in the first place. I’ve learned that if I want a man to do something for me, I shouldn’t bring it up directly. If I were in your situation I wouldn’t really give it a second thought. To be honest, if a guy I was dating wanted to take me out for my birthday after only 3-4 weeks of knowing me, I would say no and find it a bit odd. Birthdays are for good friends and family. A guy I dated a couple years ago had a huge anal fetish. I then found out that he follows a couple gay meme accounts on Instagram. When I called him out on it he said he follows them because he has a “gay friend” and thinks the memes are funny. He also went on a trip to Thailand around this time and in hindsight I wouldn’t be surprised if he had sex with a few trans women who still had dicks. Guys who are this obsessed with anal are either gay or love shemales. Just my thoughts 😁

Don’t worry about it too much. If he’s classy and mindful, he might not want to put you on the spot in your place of work. If he eventually does ask you out it’ll be because he really likes you, has thought about it a lot, and wants to take the chance. Workplace scenarios are very tricky so I wouldn’t overthink it. Just because he hasn’t asked you yet doesn’t mean he’s not into you or that he’s got feminine energy. Just wait a bit.

My mother was chronically ill for 20 years, no one ever knew why. She was basically bed bound and was never able to do normal mom stuff with me and my brother. Then she went through menopause and had her IUD removed. Her illness suddenly vanished. I will never take hormonal birth control and never use an IUD. There’s this weird trend (at least where I live) of men not getting married at a marriageable age (28-35) and thinking that they can sow their wild oats forever. Then when they turn 45 they realize that they have become the creepy old guy at the bar hitting on 19 year olds, and they decide it’s finally time to settle down and have a family. 100%. Women age far better than most men. Why? Because we practice something called grooming and self care. Most men don’t even know what these words mean.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/06/20 01:41 AM

Because most normal men do not think this way. Most normal men understand that women in their 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and older can be and are attractive. It just depends mostly on how she takes care of herself. The wall doesn’t exist. I hate the term “sexual market value” in reference to women - as if that’s all we’re good for, and we expire at age 30. The less hot you look, the shittier they will treat you, because they think it takes less effort to get you in bed, they assume you have less options than “hotter” girls. Their end goal is still the same, though. Men ain’t shit.

I do understand what you’re saying, they are biologically wired the same, but some are more rational than others. I guess I’m just wondering, if this guy acted this way, are there ANY guys out there who would still like me if I’ve gained weight? Or if my hair started thinning? Or if I stopped wearing makeup? What I’m saying is yes, there are lots of guys out there who would worship me regardless. They are just hard af to find.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/06/20 06:50 PM
24

Exactly. They can be attracted to you in secret, but god forbid they be seen in public with a woman who is not conventionally deemed as attractive. If his boys make digs at him for dating a chunkier girl, he will break up with her, even if she’s very attractive in his eyes. I’m sure you’ve noticed it in dating too. The guy is holding your hand as a symbol of status, and is always looking around for male competition who he can show you off as a prize to. It’s so fucking weird.

So then how to we ever find one who actually is different? They do exist, but they are one in a million. I’d be fine being single forever but being sick has shown me that I need financial support and someone to be there in case something like that ever happens again. At this point, I just want a spouse for the financial security. How the hell am I supposed to find one who treats me properly?

Absolutely. I also dated a 34 year old when I was 22. There’s a reason those types of guys only date women a decade younger than them - they are trash and no self respecting woman their own age would put up with them. To our younger FDS girls, don’t date men who are much older! Don’t waste your youth on trash.

Oh well I would consider myself to be pretty attractive, but not on this guy's level. My assumption is he was just going after every objectively 7+ woman he sees when he's out doing these pulls. This is exactly it, don’t smile, don’t even make eye contact. When I accidentally make eye contact at a guy, he is about 10x more likely to approach me. I keep my head down whenever I’m out by myself. Last year I accidentally was looking at some guy across a very busy street. I actually went out with one of these guys once, before I really knew what was going on. He was hot as hell, why would I say no to a gorgeous charming stranger? I gave him my number, he waited the ol’ 3 days to text. We went out and he pulled ALL of the classic moves - checking out the waitresses in an attempt to make me feel insecure, negging me, purposefully choosing a booth where we would need to sit next to one another so he could “escalate” physically. Luckily a day prior to going out with …

I get what you’re saying, but unless you have a prior friendship established, HVM will not chase you once you’ve rejected them. They are respectful and do not want to make you uncomfortable. They chase when they know you have a bit of reciprocal interest but aren’t at their beck and call. LVM chase and text endlessly after you’ve rejected them.

Agree with this. I usually match them. He takes about a half hour? I take about that same time. He texts back immediately? Then we begin an immediate text convo. I try not to leave a guy on read out of respect, because I wouldn’t want him to do that to me. I only leave him on read if it’s something that doesn’t deserve a response. Going a few days without texting creates attraction. I wouldn’t consider any of this as playing games, just as putting in the same effort that he’s putting in. Also ne…

Agreed. We are so often taught that it’s implied that we will find our soulmate and get married, when it is absolutely not guaranteed and at this point in my life I think it’s more likely I’ll simply be alone. Yes. Just because HVM are men doesn’t mean they don’t deserve respect and communication in reciprocation to what they are giving to us. From what it sounds like, this guy does not deserve the treatment she is giving him. She should just let him go. Sounds like homegirl just isn’t crazy about him.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy23/12/19 10:28 PM
20

I agree here. If he’s crazy about you there’s no need for manipulation and games. He’s expressed that he intends to propose, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to ask him to do so sooner, but from the sound of this post it doesn’t seem like her goal is to marry the love of her life, but rather just to marry. If using tactics with him is your method to get what you want then this marriage likely won’t be a respectful and communicative partnership.

This is what I think too. And with that, we need to really keep our self esteem in check and make sure we are always prioritizing ourselves and getting the best treatment.

He said she would have married him in a heartbeat and essentially was waiting for him to propose. He eventually dumped her. He led this woman on for 4 years and dumped her when she was 30. This is pure evil to me.

You’re right, and I know FDS doesn’t teach this, but I always go on low cost first dates when it comes to OLD to even gauge whether I want to spend 30 minutes with the guy. 75% of the time I do not. Better not to get roped into a 2 hour dinner. The only time I went on a “dinner date” with a guy from OLD he asked the waiter for 2 cheques, I was mortified and wasted $30. Never again.

During the courtship stage, I’d say don’t initiate. Once a relationship has been established you can look at it more like 75%-25%, some might disagree with me about this one, but he should initiate 75% of the time when you’re in a relationship. I’m in the same situation as you. Been seeing a guy casually for the past 3 weeks. The only thing I’ve initiated so far was texting him to have a safe flight a few days ago (we hadn’t texted for a day prior) Everything else, I have left to him to initiate…

Girl you have nothing to worry about. Continue your current job but begin looking for a spot that better represents who you view yourself to be and caters to a higher class clientele. You’ll meet tons of higher value men by switching to a better location. Plus there are tons of HVM who are not necessarily white collar and wouldn’t give af about you working at Supercuts. Appearances includes a woman’s career these days, 30 years ago it didn’t. Tbh many big city men do care about your job. Or at least that you’re taking steps toward your ideal dream job. Most doctors I know wouldn’t date a waitress who plans to always be a waitress, but they would date a waitress who’s saving up to start her own photography business, you know?

They don’t need to know where you work, you can just tell them what you do. Thanks girl. I actually let him know prior that I expect a man to do the courting and I’m very traditional this way, which is why I think he came in very strong and high effort. Maybe he just wasn’t used to being the provider and got tired of it real quick. Thanks so much for helping me think this out, It really does help.

Nothing necessarily wrong with him, really nice guy and we had a lot of fun, but I could start seeing mini things that I was concerned may turn into future disrespect. Also I wasn’t super impressed with where he was at in life in terms of his job and education. I am a lot further along in life in these terms than he is. But he came in strong with planning and intention so I wanted to give him a chance and see if maybe he was a HVM despite his career and education issues.

Yeah it had only been 3 weeks. Had it been months and I hadn’t slept with him and wasn’t initiating any texts or travelling to his part of town, then yeah I could understand his frustration, but it was a fairly short timeframe. I honestly feel bad and he is a really nice guy... but I do expect a bit more courting before I begin to invest

I was doing the things you mentioned. Always very appreciative and sweet when he would put in the effort and plan things, Offered to travel his way instead of him picking me up, always did my best to match his texting (except last night). I always offer to pay my share on dates so it doesn’t look like I’m a freeloader (even though I’d wouldn’t prefer him to take me up on that offer), and last night he even took me up on it. I didn’t, however, plan the dates. I feel that is his role. And I think …

This. If he isn’t hard from close proximity combined with kissing then he’s a porn addict and potentially has ED. Last year one guy I was seeing got hard when I walked through the front door of his apartment, and I only came to pick up something I had left there the day before, intending to leave 5 minutes later. Healthy boys get stiff pretty easily.

This is what I’m saying. Financial freedom and owning a home are wonderful things, but a man who is well into adulthood and has never moved out of his parents place likely has not learned how to cook, clean or do laundry and will expect his wife to pick up that slack. I’ve seen it pan out in my parents marriage and other family members. It won’t be me.

I get it. I suppose it’s personal preference. The top guy I’m seeing in my rotation is 28 and lives with several roommates in a not so great part of town, his rent is really low. He’s saving for a 20% down payment and very close to his goal of purchasing a home (housing prices are unbelievable here). He moved out of his parent’s place when he was 18, he wanted his independence as soon as possible. This is the shit that I admire, the tenacity and independence. It’s so sexy.

Living with roommates can be understandable, but pushing 30 and still living at home is a big fat indication that he can’t cut the cord. When I moved to the city at age 24 I had no family, friends, or savings. I took the first job I could find (paid shit), my rent was 2/3 of my income. I chose to buck up, work hard, be frugal and now 3 years later I’m in excellent financial shape. If I can do it, any man should be more than capable of it too. I expect a man to bring the same shit to the table th…

Thanks for your feedback. My issue is not the amount of money he makes, I know some bartenders that make twice what I make and I have a good job. It’s more of the lack of ambition that it displays. I appreciate the response and I see what you're saying. Are you that socially stunted that you actually need a person to practice dating? I wouldn't say I'm socially stunted, I'm definitely awesome to be around, but in the past I have really fallen for guys too hard too soon and it's burned me bad. I'm so used to getting swept up in an expectation or a fantasy that I forget to ground myself in reality. I agree that income isn’t really a big deal to guys. However, men are susceptible to their familial expectations and social conditioning. They will usually marry a girl that their family and/or friends think is up to par - so if he comes from a family of over achievers (including mom and sisters) then he will likely marry a girl who is also on that level. If his parental dynamic was different (dad was a doctor, mom was a secretary) then it will mean a lot less to him. Scope out the type of HVM h…

Women need to seize every opportunity to advance themselves education and career wise in their 20’s. There is just no guarantee that you will be taken care of anymore (in the modern world) and that’s actually a blessing. You create your own destiny. Ladies, do not waste your university years, take internships, make amazing connections, be social and use everything to your advantage for your own future. I cut out alcohol a year ago. It’s great, get out of your comfort zone and don’t worry about being goofy and tipsy, be your amazing confident self. I find it has really helped me develop my social skills and realize I’m just as amazing without alcohol. In the year that I have been sober I’ve gone out on maybe 10-15 first dates. I think a lot of what you said can have some truth, but from my experience it doesn't totally check out. when you become extremely over-zealous about sex after exclusivity, and otherwise show your fear of lack of commitment (including non-verbally), you are countering the effect that waiting for sex was supposed to have. You're putting him and his commitment on a pedestal. You're showing how much you care, and how desperate you are to not lose him. You're giving him the power/control, and succum…

This is all 100% true and I've realized recently how completely grateful I am that I never had a real LTR in my teens or 20's (so far). It has really made me introspective, self reflective and an incredibly self aware person. I never would have become who I am today if I had been in a relationship. Older guys who go for MUCH younger women generally are looking to manipulate and be seen as a demigod. They love the ego stroke that younger women give them for having the most basic adult shit, like a job and an apartment and some spending money. To be fair here, aiming for this BMI is just not realistic or healthy for some women. I'm 5'6" and was very overweight most of my life. I lost 50 lbs last year and I sit around 145 lbs right now. It's just straight up insecurity. The first part of your comment is irrelevant. If I'm into a guy and I'm cold and distant toward him it's because I'm shy, insecure and think maybe he won't like me. I remember I had a crush on this one guy who worked at a barbershop I would pass every single day. Everytime I passed, I would stare at him through the window - I don't think he ever noticed. I'd have to ask them more explicitly, but I'm not really sure. I honestly thought everyone felt this way. When a sexual experience is bad or you feel used, it's traumatizing. I thought that was true for men and women.

Wow men and women really think about sex differently. This comment has really shocked me. I’m not necessarily negating what you said, I guess it’s really that different for men. But sex for me has never just been a moment in time that feeds a need, even with someone I had no feelings for. Be honest with her. Save her the heartache and save yourself the time and headache. Let me give you an example from my own recent past. I went out with this one guy seven times before I slept with him. SEVEN. TIMES. When we finally had sex, he left my apartment right afterward and never called or texted me again. Seven dates, two months of investment, and then never heard from him again. Even though I didn’t even really like him that much and didn’t see much of a future with him, that situation …

Woman opinion here. Sometimes girls hold off because they actually like the guy and could see a future with him. This is what I do- if I really Iike a guy, I hold off. Usually 5 dates, to really sus out his intentions to see if he’s serious about me. Make sure that if all you want from her is something casual, let her know, or she may end up hurt and you will just be wasting your time.

For a casual hook up, yes. for a long lasting meaningful relationship, obviously not. If you’re trying to achieve something superficial (ie; a one night stand or casual meaningless sex), then superficial things will be all you care about in the partner you seek. No girl is going to meet you and see into your beautiful and delicate soul and want to have a one night stand with you. That’s just ridiculous.

My two cents as a woman: To summarize, yes it matters. If a guy has a great personality, good looks and is tall, he will do a lot better than the same guy who is short. This is just the way it is. It’s not everything though. I find that being short is more of a detriment online than it is if you approach a woman in person.
