So at what point does it become perfectly okay to defend yourself against someone being hostile regardless of their gender?

It seems like you can't even defend yourself against someone attempting to push you around because you'd be call a woman beater which is forever stigmatized. I know guys who have let themselves be beaten by women because they didn't want to hit back.

Honestly If I feel like I'm in a threatened situation I will have to defend myself, I don't care what gender you are.

It seems like punching in her face would have been frowned upon, but what if he had pepper sprayed her, would that have been better to feminists?

My older sister was slow to learn and one day she punched a guy and he decked her like a man. My mom said "I don't want to hear about it you thug, you hid behind your vagina for years and now how's that working for you?"

A few years back one of my neighbours found out that I wouldn't hit women. She was an aggressive drunk, and when she realized I wouldn't hit her back, started pounding on me. At first it was shots to the arm, in the bicep. She'd sneak up on me and punch me as hard as she could. At first it wasn't bad, but after a few hours, my arms were starting to bruise.

Nothing I could say or do could get her to stop. She kept egging me on, calling me a pussy, telling me to hit her, but I wouldn't do it. I wanted to do hit her, sure. But I wouldn't have liked myself much afterward, so I didn't. Soon the punches started traveling from my arms to my chest, the back of my head, etc. Always sucker punches as she came up from behind me, because if I saw the shot coming I would block it (I'm not a total idiot).

After hours had passed and I don't know how many punches to the arm, my friend Nancy showed up. She saw the neighbour woman punching my arm, asked a few questions, and people told her what had been going on over the past few hours.

She didn't say a word. She just walked up to the drunken neighbour chick and cold cocked her. Punched her straight in the face, and put her on the ground. As Drunky McDrunkjerk tried to get up, Nancy stood over top of her and yelled, "You like hitting people who can't hit back? You fuckin' bully!" and proceeded to beat her about the head and shoulders until Drunky ran off crying.

I love Nancy.

That said, the average hoodrat banks on three things...

A dude won't knock her ass clean out, under the "men don't hit girls" myth.
If they get into it with a dude who does actually swing back, they expect that any other male in the vicinity will immediately jump in to protect them.
If all else fails, they've got something in their purse/pockets/bra that they're sure can even the odds. (Pepper spray, tazer, knife, etc.)

This video is a prime example of two hoodrats banking on all three, and getting none. The times are changing, ladies. Stop getting knocked out over dumb shit. I have a feeling that had a camera not been visible, someone would have ended up in the ER.

Its really funny how ones says, totally outraged "Oh, you wanna hit a girl, huh?", after hitting him and him actually pushing back. Yeah, no shit, what did she expect? "Oh please mistress dont hurt this poor, poor man" or what?

Honestly, I've dropped the whole "not hitting girls" thing a long time ago. I am >1.9m, do some muscle training (not much) and am capable of taking most people in a fight. I dont start them. If someone is stupid enough to think he/she needs to start a fight with me, I fight back with all my force, no matter the gender. It usually works out pretty well for me.

Know their weakpoints when you go into a fight with a woman: A punch in the boobs quickly brings them breathing trouble and hurts like hell, a kick in the vagina hurts about as much as a kcick in the balls, but is harder to pull off.

TL;DR: Dont hold back against woman, protect your balls (seriously, men usually dont go for them, women do). Weakpoints: Boobs, Vagina.

I don't agree with hitting someone just because they're getting in my face or something but you'd best believe that if you take a swing at me (especially if you have a weapon like these bitches) you're gunna get put down...man or woman....anything less would be sexist! That being said I'm luck enough that no one has started a fight with me in my adult life and I hope it stays that way! :P

Once you understand the unpredictable danger that a real fight entails, you don't posture and puff up, you don't pick fights, and once things get physical, you don't pull punches, you don't shove back and forth or anything stupid like that, you finish it as quickly as possible and get the fuck away. If you're in a place where your reputation could have real consequences for your future safety (an institution, a nasty neighborhood), you also don't back down or run away, and you don't stop until it's over-over.

Assuming you already know how to fight men, here are some differences to take into consideration when fighting women. These are generalizations.

Bystanders. This is the first consideration. If you're around strangers, at a bar or something, look at all the men around, watching what you do. If you fight a woman, you're fighting about half of those men as well, and probably some of the women too. Would you rather take a humiliating slap-down/run away from one woman, or be hospitalized by ten men?

A woman who has not been in a fight before will try to fight like a man. She will try to punch you in the face, shove you, stupid shit like that. A shove might catch you off guard, but a punch won't fuck you up like a man's punch. If your fool ass fails to end it quickly or get away, she will learn that she can't knock you out with one punch like on TV, and she will start fighting dirty. Some women have been in many, many more fights than most men (this is because, if you picked fights like they did, you'd be crippled or dead by now, but they generally just get held down until the police arrive). A woman like this will start out fighting dirty. Either way, if you're fighting a woman, expect them to bite, pull hair, scratch, gouge your eyes, go for your crotch, spit, and just generally fight like animals. Women fight with a shocking lack of humility and shame.

Women are weaker than men. Take them down. Once it's on the ground, you can pin them and protect yourself from scratching and groin shots much more easily than you can a man (just watch their teeth). Be warned though, if you don't have anyone watching your back, most bystanders will take this opportunity to fuck you up from behind.

If you know any joint locks/submission holds, women's joints are weaker and break easier, but you might have to push them a fair bit further to reach the breaking point. Think of the difference between snapping an oak branch and a maple sapling. That's the difference between a man's joints and a woman's. If you know any chokes or strangles, be aware that women's necks don't take as much pressure to cut things off, but they are smaller, so expect to adjust for size. Generally, I recommend not using grappling maneuvers unless you've drilled them over and over, and you can do them correctly every time, but with a woman, the strength difference should be enough that if you know the general principle, you can probably muscle through it.

I generally don't recommend the nastier fighting techniques. I don't care what any braggart tough guy says, if someone punches you in the face and you crush their esophagus or take their eyes, your ass is going to prison. Having said that, fights are inherently dangerous. Every second the fight continues is another second that a sloppy punch could plant a thumb in your eye, or you could fall and crack your head on pavement, or someone could pull a gun. End it as quickly as possible without landing your ass in prison, but if it's risking prison or risking the morgue, well, only you can make that decision for yourself.

A kick to the crotch can hurt a woman, but it doesn't work the same way as with a man. With a man, if you're on target, it hurts, and any pressure over that is multiplying the damage. With a cunt punt, you're not hitting dangling gonads, you're mashing tissue against bone, so you have to apply a certain amount of force before it hurts enough to incapacitate. Be aware of what you're risking with a really strong crotch boot; with a man, you're risking a popped ball. With a woman, you're risking broken pelvis. This can potentially kill.

You're better off going for a boob punch. It carries little risk of serious injury, but it will hurt. A lot. It's the same type of incapacitating pain as a nut shot (although not as bad), and you can expect doubling over, puking, etc. Punch straight ahead, like a jab, but directly into the tit. You want to compress the breast against the ribcage, hard enough to knock their lungs empty. In the long term, if you rupture a mammary gland, it can lead to an infection called mastitis (the same thing some breast feeding women get), which can potentially be fatal.

Women's smaller amounts of muscle tissue make them more susceptible to certain strikes. A punch to the gut will have more effect, and you can even hit the ovaries through the lower abdomen. Don't bother trying for an ovary shot unless you really know anatomy, but you might luck out. The reduced muscle mass also makes women bruise more easily; strikes to the thighs, shoulders, etc. can hurt down to the bone easier, and have a longer effect. Women are also easier to knock out with a hit to the jaw; a straight, quick punch to the front of the chin. Tight, controlled, accuracy counts more than power (it doesn't take much force right on the button).

Be aware that women are generally easier to hurt and kill than men. Don't turn a self-defense situation into a murder charge. On the other hand, better you than them ("them" being anyone attacking you). In the end, once a person attacks you, they forfeit their right to safety, and it's your decision how much safety you want to grant them. You might choose to go easier on someone because they're female or a dumb teenager or whatever, but that's your decision and yours alone. Personally, I would rather go to prison for the rest of my life than be killed in the street because I decided to go easy on the wrong person.

And of course, try to avoid fighting if you can. An ounce of prevention and all that. Yeah, it's fun as fuck (when you win), but "fun" is a stupid ass reason to get into something as dangerous and unpredictable as street fighting.

I don't like his language, but it's somewhat understandable under the adrenaline he must have been feeling. I also don't know what happened before the video started and why the girls felt slighted. However, the girls were definitely the aggressors of physical violence and he kept trying to retreat. I find myself wishing that he had hit them hard enough to dissuade them from continuing the attack and maybe doing it to someone else later.

If you attack someone, they have a right to defend themselves and make you stop attacking. He was well within his rights to escalate further than he did to stop their attacks.

As far as I'm concerned, male or female, if I find myself threatened, I will do whatever is necessary, following the rules of Deadly Force. (Yes, using your body as a weapon can fall under Deadly Force since hitting the wrong spot can lead to serious or deadly bodily harm). I will walk away if I am given the chance in a effort to avoid confrontation, but the moment any physical force is used against me, I respond in kind.

Honestly, my rationale is if you want to come at me and try to hurt me, i'm going to defend myself. I won't escalate it, but if it comes down to it, I'm going to be the one who walks away and not the one laying on the pavement bleeding.

I should probably mention i hate fighting and try and find the diplomatic solution before it escalates to violence.
