Years ago when I was in high school, I knew this girl who I would eventually become really good friends with started off like this. We got involved romantically but I made some poor choices and we both thought we’d be better off as friends. So one night she came over and we were just talking about each other and I remember me saying something that this isn’t going to end well for the both of us and we should just stop. Safe to say she didn’t like that response so then she slapped me. I looked at her for a solid second and slapped her back with the same energy/force or whatever and she looks absolutely stunned. When I was pretty young, this random girl I had never seen before slapped me in the face when a group of us were playing. If I remember correctly, she was losing tag or some nonsense, and thought this meant physical attacks were warranted. I wasn't even it.

So I slapped her back, instantly.

She got really upset and said something like "I can't believe you slapped me."

She went home, we played a bit more, and then I went home.

When I went home a group of like 10 random black girls showed up, and I assumed they were going to attack me. As I said, I was pretty young, and these girls were mostly teenagers, except for the girl that slapped me.

The younger girl stepped out, and one of the oldest said "slap him again."

She did, so I slapped her back.

They literally went wild talking about "omg he really slapped her back!!" and "I can't believe he really slapped her!"

I asked if that was all they wanted, and they didn't say much, so I left.

To this day I really don't understand what they wanted, or what their deal was. If they wanted revenge, they could have jumped me or something, but I would have absolutely fought back. If their idea was to let her slap me, and I wouldn't slap back this time because she had her friends and family with her, that didn't work out either. I'm still confused.

Part of me likes to believe that they had never seen any form of equality in their lives, and just wanted to witness it.
