I'm all for equality and not letting men fall through the cracks as it were, but this seems like a petty article/title/topic to split hairs over and cry for justice.

At what point does this movement or discussion thread become a cringfest joke? Most posts in this subreddit just make me embarrassed.

"Our" goal shouldn't be to get more sympathy points vs the other biological gender - missing the forest for the trees - imo.

Don't be a feminist looking for prejudice where there is'n't any. This time you took it out of its context. Someone shared here the link. It's a local news item about a wedding. The report is not about covid as a disease but about a girl who died the day before the wedding (of covid). The entire piece is a local-type, personal story, the groom, the plans, the shock, and so on. That's the only reason this sentence is mentioned way down close to the end. Not the point, just associative data because it's a bride.
