You only ever hear of bad men. Good men are taken for granted or even of they appreciated by their partners and family, you don't need much of reddit celebrating it.

Women on the other hand, or constantly being patted on the back, having their issues heard. and people pat themselves on the back for simply hiring them as if that's an accomplishment.

You only ever hear of women who divorce their husbands because of some fault in the husband, true or otherwise.

You don't hear about women admitting they divorce the husband to get sole custody of the kids and alimony, or they found an upgrade(this is usually where the ex is labeled with various faults), etc.

The first commenter actually makes a good point- it IS due to reddit. The way the site is structured makes it very easy to fall into sexist habits and ways of thinking.

The combination of gendered avatars, subs like AITA that demand posters reveal their gender/ages (even if it is totally irrelevant), most other biographical detail being purposefully hidden, and voting on every comment creates a powerful feedback mechanism that amplifies misandry (and misogyny).

The thing to remind yourself is that the correct vote on MOST comments really should be "I am absolutely in a terrible position to judge, here. I don't know you or your situation well enough to have all of the pertinent details, and even if I did the vast majority of statements would probably best warrant some reaction other than outright cheering or booing."

If you insist on making a choice to cheer or boo anyways, you are probably going to end up making that choice based on your own gender bias much of the time. Because it is really all you have to go on.

But you won't be cognizant of your own bias. You will believe that the people you are downvoting deserve your completely unqualified censure. You will believe that the people you are upvoting actually deserve your completely unqualified praise.

Which means you will ultimately wind up just noticing that many of the group of people you have prejudged to be jerks are jerks, according to you.

If I flip the genders, I'd get something like this:

A MGTOW leaning MRA talking about browsing subs like TwoX and complaining about all the man hating happening on there and how they treat any slightly less than attractive 20 year old as an incel. Followed by a little bit of negative generalizations about "modern women"

It's bad, but there are legitimate gripes in there and the person holding these views is deserving of sympathy and empathy as they are clearly hurting and have calibration issues when judging people of the opposite gender.

There's a lot of undeserved hate sent towards women just as there is a lot of underserved hate sent towards men. And on both sides there are sensitive souls that take it a little too personality, and on both sides some of those sensitive souls are a little too reactionary and end up throwing hate back at the other side.

And it's up to the rest of us to try and throw them some love (and maybe gently chastise them for holding toxic views) in order to break the cycle.

Edit: In before "but MGTOW subreddits get banned and TwoX gets frontpaged". Yes and that's horrible, but make sure to send your scorn at the perpetrators: Reddit Admins and Powerful, influential feminists. And not at the victims: sensitive souls who may be a little bit too reactionary.

I study chemistry now, and we learn some statistics for our Lab reports and the likes.

What I immediately noticed was how the person in the second pic used the Word statistics. It just saddens me in a way when I put in so much effort to understand statistical calculations and then see someone this stupid, uneducated, uncritical and brainwashed use the Word in a way that could not possibly be more wrong.
