Want to end up like this? That’s what will happen if you indulge a manbaby. Sadly, manbabies can be hard to spot in the wild, especially if you’re new to vetting. If you always give men the benefit of the doubt, and if you have a nurturing personality, you need to watch out.

Over time, a LVM can chip away at your walls until one day, you wake up and realize you get zero respect from your partner — even though you do all the cooking, cleaning and more. When you try to communicate with your man in hopes of a more equitable relationship, he’ll cheerfully hit you with the “You knew what you were getting into!” That’s a bald-faced lie, of course.

Manbabies can be tough to spot at first, especially if you’re new in your FDS journey. That’s why I’m putting together a guide to mamabaiting — or the way manbabies try to find their next Mommy McBangMaid. Here’s what you need to watch out for to save yourself from falling into the manbaby’s trap.

Remember: LVM want to milk you for domestic servitude, emotional labor and more. Don't let them.

You know the drill. LVM want a woman who will cook, clean and provide the unconditional support of an indulgent mother. Oh, yeah, and they also want a lady who performs Olympic-level feats of athleticism in the bedroom. Basically, they want their own personal Wonder Woman who takes care of everything.

In order to find this woman, they put out feelers to see how receptive you are to this dynamic. I call this mamabaiting, and I recently mentioned it in a post here. I decided to make a larger post to expand up on this … and give you some red flags to watch out for.

Maybe you're talking to a guy friend or a potential suitor. Listen to his words carefully — he might just tell on himself. Be careful if a guy you're talking to says something like this:

🚩 “I can’t cook.”

🚩 “I can’t clean.”

🚩 “I’m bad with dates. I'm always late."

🚩 "Women are just better at men than multi-tasking."

🚩 Constant complaining — and expecting you to comfort him

These are all pretty blatant giveaways. By advertising his shortcomings, he's hoping you'll swoop in and brag about how capable you are to impress him. He's hoping you'll be a pickme and say something like, "Oh, actually, I love cleaning!" or "I'm a good chef!" or "I'm super organized. I'll take care of everything."

In other words, he wants to see if you took the bait so he can reel in his Mommy McBangMaid. 🎣

Watch out for these phrases, too

🚩 “I want a woman who’s going to build me up.”

🚩 “I need a woman who can take care of me.”

🚩 “I hate being single. I need a woman by my side.”

🚩 "I hate dating. I wish I could jump straight into a relationship, you know?"

Pay close attention to how a guy talks about his ideal relationship. Does he talk about how he wants to avoid things that require effort, like dating? Does he emphasize what she will do for him? That's a pretty big sign.

🚩 “I'm a jerk, but at least I'm honest."

🚩 "I'm not racist or sexist! I hate everyone equally."

Lots of guys will joke about being a bad person — but they’re actually telling on themselves. A man who says something like this clearly takes pride in being mean. He will expect you to put up with his poor behavior and love him despite it.

In other words, he wants unconditional love, but he doesn't want to be kind enough to earn it. Only mommies give that kind of unconditional love. If you don't want to deal with tantrums, run, girl, run! 🏃🏽‍♀️

Have you ever dealt with a guy trying to mamabait you?

I've dealt with this from all sorts of men, from friends to coworkers and even family members.

Yep: A cousin moaned about how he couldn't keep his house clean and needed a wife to make it neat. He wanted me to comfort him and assure him he'd find a woman who would take care of him like he deserved ... but I didn't birth him, so fuck that. 💁‍♀️

Overall, I hope this post was helpful! I was rereading the FDS Handbook recently and felt inspired to try and create a strategy post of my own.

It's the first time I've ever put together a strategy post, but I really wanted to give back! I hope you queens can use this to avoid any potential man babies who come waddling towards you in your dating journeys. 💖 👑
