I saw a video the other night of a teen girl getting caught stealing by loss prevention. I think this may be true but it's important to remember that the white night is acting on behalf of the woman he's simping for. Even if she has not asked him to do something specifically she still bears some responsibility for setting the gears in motion that led to his actions. She is a necessary cause of his actions even if she is not the proximal cause.

A few years back, I was at the grocery store; I had a full cart, and I noticed the guy behind me (probably in his fourties) had two DVDs and a candy bar, so I told him he could go ahead of me. Guy says, "Oh, thanks hun, I really appreciate it," and slides around me.

Which is when the kid behind him -looked barely old enough to be out of college, mid-twenties at most -pipes up, and says, "Wow, that's rude." Well, because I'm nosey, I immediately turn to look behind him, to see who he's talking to, when I see that he's glaring at the guy in front of me. So I'm confused, and all my brain can say is, "Huh?" The older guy in front of me also looks confused.

So this kid says, "She let you go in front of her, and then you call her 'hun'? That's rude."

And I'm just sitting there, staring, because I can't believe this is actually happening? Like, this random ass kid just inserted himself into a situation that wasn't even a situation, until he made it one? But finally, I just shrug, and say, "I wasn't offended, it's fine."

And this dumbass kid actually looks at me, and says, "Well, you should be." And started glaring at me, like I was somehow the problem here?

The older guy got his dvds and candy bars, and left, I got my shit as quick as I could, and just left, but like... that still boggles my mind to this day.

That’s why I carry pepper spray, a box cutter and a slapjack. White knights are just an aspect of one of women's big privileges, the privilege to be coddled. I don't know what the hell possesses the white knights to do it, because it's not pussy (knighting doesn't get you pussy, everyone knows that), but they're super annoying. They're worse if they actually have any kind of power at all because they will abuse it to the hilt - and they'll often get away with it, because they were coddling women, which is widely accepted behavior!

I was just thinking about this recently. Men could build their own groups, forums, social institutions where women are not coddled. But women would avoid them like the plague, because they don't want to give up any of their privilege or be held accountable for anything. So those institutions would all become sausagefests. Which, in some ways, would be fine. There have been plenty of men-only institutions throughout history. But what's happened to most of them? Nearly all of them decried as sexist, and either fallen out of favor or invaded by women and white knights.

Meanwhile we've got casual misandry hitting a fever pitch, every problem with society or gender is in some way seen as a problem with men, who need to be fixed (women are already perfect as they are, apparently, and only hold up half the sky when it makes them look good). You can't even talk about this stuff without being silenced or dogpiled, except in certain corners of the internet not run by women or white knights.

When I was younger I was all about equality. It's a nice dream, but I'm not sure it's realistic anymore. And if we've got to have culture war, I want to be on the winning side. Let's get back the good ol' boys clubs, the brotherhoods, the networks, or make new ones to replace them. The white knights can stay with the women, on the losing side.

Those also women have all the power to shut those guys down and to not reward those behaviors, but often they don't really do it or they do it for all the wrong reasons(they do it because they don't want to "owe" that guys, not because they think those guys are doing something wrong). Women have way more power to slander and vilify men, or just isolate men out of social groups entirely. It's different types of danger, it's not that one is more dangerous than the other.
