For example I just heard that Henry Cavill refused to do any romantic/sexual scenes or even a shirtless scene in The Witcher because he wanted to avoid any #MeToo accusations. The directors had a problem with that because it made it harder to give the character any relationship. Not to mention that they missed out on having any money shots with his shirt off.

Men are sexually objectified by women mostly in IMITATION of how men do it to them.

REAL objectification of men with REAL harm is to be found in Disposability. Men are disposable utility-objects to women, whereas women get objectified as luxury object… of intrinsic value. This is why 90+% of work-place deaths are male; why the draft targets males; why males are traditionally expected to give up seats in life-boats to females.

So focusing upon sexual objectification of men as an issue misses the point on three levels.

To the sexist female who does it, it's really nothing but penid-envy.
To the feminist who defends it, it's just an opportunity to exercise her hypocrisy.
To the man who suffers it, it's a superficially uncomfortable distraction from more serious life-and-death stakes objectification.
