Video games seem to attract a particularly nasty feminazi group of individuals. What I find interesting is how much they pour into women not being sexual objects in gaming, expressed through their image, and yet at the same time they say nothing about the hoards of powerful muscular men, with deep crunchy voices, forearms like legs of ham, bulging biceps and boulder shoulders. I don't have a problem with male OR female objectification in gaming, but those who do should at least be consistent about it.

I do not understand the unhealthy obsession feminists have with games that they don't even play. Other than that men enjoy them and feminists seem to hate any time men are having fun.

Tell the average male or MRA that there exists somewhere on the internet a group of women who are keeping to themselves and having fun in a way that doesn't involve showering men with praise and they'll say something like "so . . . ?".

And yet to a feminist that situation in reverse is some sort of dire affront that cannot be allowed to stand.

If it wasn't for the increasing presence of a few very vocal feminists and their allies in the gaming community, I probably wouldn't be aware that there was a Men's Rights Movement. I'm sure there's plenty of gamers out there that have been reading up on both sides of the 'gender in gaming' issue.

As a gamer and developer, I'm seeing an increasing divide between the 'core gaming' community, where a vocal minority generally responds with anger and hate ('you won't take away our pixellated boobs and guns!'), and the majority just don't care too much - and then the indie community, which seems to increasingly be going full-SJW - all too quick to call out poor choices of words - that may not have even happened - causing social media shitstorms over fairly minor incidents.

I see worrying parallels to Atheism+ within the gaming community at the moment. And that seems likely to just going to make things get uglier and angrier.

The hateful tweets really need to end, though. And that's not about censorship, it's about not being an immature childish trolling piece of shit. I know it's just a tiny minority of the gaming community - but it's making the whole gaming community look very bad, and reflecting badly on the games industry itself. (and that's not just hateful tweets at radfems, male game developers can get a lot of it too, for trivial things like changing stats on in-game items)

And it's basically handing powerful ammunition to people who have figured out that hate and abuse can be very effectively turned into publicity and attention for a (sometimes questionable) cause.

I own a website where I've gone off on the feminists in the gaming community. What has happened, from my experience, is that latest wave of 20-somethings have an enormous fear of being considered offensive to anyone so when people have become offended on maters for WHATEVER reason, this new wave of professionals are bending backwards to accommodate everyone so that THEY won't be considered offensive.

Because this is the new generation of professionals, they've begun taking over the journalism side of gaming. They report on what people are offended with, they create the fake outrage, and then post it. Then when they receive a barrage of comments on how people should lighten up and not take things so seriously, these journalists will take to the various social media and comment on how abhorrent people are not offended as they are or at least try to to be. Immediately that creates the guilt to the readers who again, bend over backwards to not be offensive.

Unfortunately, in regards to gaming, the feminists games journalists are pretty much in control of the biggest sites. Because of that, they will have no problem making accusations on people based on half-truths and give the spotlight to people like Sarkeesian without a hint of objectivity. It's a sad state of affairs on the journalism side of things and I'm in the minority of being fair on matters unlike a site like Kotaku which is clearly giving a slant to their stories to push an agenda rather than be objective on matters.

GAF has been terrible and overmoderated for as long as I've been reading it. Remember when Dragona was a mod and she used to flip out and ban people for even making a joke about women? That actually pales in comparison to today, though, where SJWs pretty much rule the roost it seems. For a while people weren't even allowed to use the word "cunt".

But, it's almost fun to watch for drama's sake and to observe the absurd amount of unwritten "rules" there; in other words, which topics particular moderators have a bug up their ass about.

I don't have a problem with what Anita has done. In part she is right (but games objectify both genders). What bothers me is what she has done with the money. Is she accountable for how she spends it? Why can't she spend it on getting some female friendly games made instead of pocketing it for herself?
