I’m in my 40s, Cambodian, divorced with no kids. Been two years single and haven’t dated anyone worth dating since separating from my wife. Worked on myself, got in better shape, new career, reconnected with family and friends over the last two years.

I’m now 3 weeks in, and the OLD world seems daunting and depressing. At least for me, it seems like any woman I match with is several notches below my ex or girls I used to date. I understand I’m not in my 20s/30s now, but the results are kind of depressing esp since I’m looking for a LTR, not a ONS, and the few women I match with I’d admittedly be embarrassed to introduce to friends or family.

Would love to hear success stories from any men who’ve done well with OLD (esp from just above average looking guys. If you look like a movie star, your experience is quite different than mine would ever be. My great-looking friends seem to have a hot date every other night despite their age).

I consider myself to be a 6/10 in terms of facial attractiveness and a 8/10 in terms of physical fitness.

Also, people keep on saying to meet women IRL, but I got rejected hard the last two times I approached single women (early 30s?). They looked at me like it was an insult for me to ask them out because of the 10 year age gap.

Trying to move on from my ex who cheated on me, but my lack of success in dating has brought back a lot of depressed feeling (regret over wasting 12 years on her). Should I just be pursuing ONS and give up on LTR for now for my mental health? Move to a new city?
