It depends on the individual, but yes, this sometimes happen. Some women want security to elicit and explore their sexual arousal and some men rely on variety and novelty for sexual arousal. Im definitely the kind of woman who wants it more in a relationship but I think its more because Im comfortable then.

Go to the deadbedroom subreddit here though and men wont agree with you. Its filled with men who have LTR women partners who wont have sex with them. There are some examples reversed genders but not as frequent.

According to researchers wom n have a much harder time than men maintaining their sex-drive in long-term monogamous relationship. Just Google it, the same is not for men.

I think the main difference is a lot of men are sorta terrified when they don't have a consistent source for sex. Like as long as they know a source is available everything is fine and they don't care as much about the quality of sex. To many men bad sex is better than no sex. Women on the other hand aren't typically scared to be single and no sex is better than bad sex. I don't know that women always want sex more often in relationships but I do think they care more about having good sex then many men do.

I’ve always wanted more sex than the women whom I’ve been in relationships with. Men enter relationships precisely for the reason that they can have regular sex.

They might get tired of sex with a given woman sooner, though, if they don’t have many feelings for her. At that point they are looking for a new woman to have sex with.

Not true for me. My bf and my ex both wanted sex pretty often in relationships. Honestly with my current bf he wants sex so many times it gets overwhelming. He wants sex like 3x a day usually. I compromise by going for 2x a day. I cant handle more because he lasts for ever. Like 2hrs of PIV every time we hang out. I'm in pain constantly

It's a pattern that I've noticed.

More than likely, once women feel secure in a relationship they feel safe enough to express their sexuality as it is. I think men get bored sexually in relationships because the expectation in NORMAL/HEALTHY relationships is that some effort will have to happen in order to sexually satisfy his partner.

I mainly hear men complain once they're in relationships that sex takes to long and that they don't feel like doing foreplay all of the time and don't feel like doing what their woman likes specifically all of the time. In other words at worst, sex becomes a "chore", at best it's something he only wants to do when he's in the mood so that they can both enjoy it.

Outside of a relationship, men can get the variety they want, while also not having to care or be overly invested in the sexual experience of his casual sex partner. He gets to fuck as many women as he can get and reach orgasm most of the time. There is no expectation or standard of a mutually satisfying experience.

Women are less likely to want casual sex because it's typically not worth it. The sex isn't going to be or feel satisfying because the man doesn't know what she likes and more than likely doesn't care. The bad quality sex also isn't worth the potential danger associated with hooking up with strange men. Women have to worry about getting murdered, robbed, attacked, and kidnapped by men they don't know. Men don't fear women and don't anticipate that a woman is going to harm him in anyway.

People want what they don’t have. I don’t think this is true at all about relationships though. I think women are just as likely to not want sex as men. In fact, I hear guys complain all the time that their wives don’t want it.

The person’s libido has the most to do with it. I think it’s also true that guys are ridiculous when they are single because it’s hard for them to get it, so they tend to want it more.
