First I must say, it helps a lot to read on this forum and to feel that there are so many of you out there. I also feel so much sympathy for all of you out there, especially those that loose custody to the kids. Fortunately, my wife is quite resonable (so far) and definitely want us to split 50/50 as well and also make sure the kids have good lives both when they stay with me and her.

Me and my wife has been together for 18 years (since 20 y/o) and married for 10. We got 3 kids and a wonderful house in one of the best areas. The kids have great lives here with their own rooms etc. We have been struggling in our marriage with less and less intimacy (which tbh never been amazing) but we liked each other company a lot and have wonderful kids that are loved by all. She have been dropping that she might want to get a divorce a few times over the last 1,5-2 years but I always convinced her that whatever problem we have been having, we can work on those and I really have a strong drive to keep the family together. I have been putting in even more effort and she not so much so i guess it was doomed to fail anyway and I guess it is also for the best.

So, two weeks ago she dropped that she wanted a divorce, she had made up her mind and also she met another man that she has been seeing for 1.5 month. This really hurt me since I never thought that of her! I came as a chock and I feel clueless what I should do now.
Long story short, I now feel like a lost a bit of my identity, I am afraid for the next couple of months will be hard. I have a tendency to be quite introvert and dont really have any friends to be honest. Its been work and my family thats been most important to me and that hurts now...
