Almost like physical attraction is a thing.

I understand where she's coming from - "he likes me better now, he's so shallow, only wants looks, he's a sexually-driven animal", etc. But its normal to be attracted to physical traits (and so are women) and being upset about it is immature.

To be fair though, he should also get in shape, as i'm sure the wife would be happier as well. Always good to have a good-looking partner you're attracted to!

This is slightly off topic but wanted to share:

Dated a French girl recently. Here is her diet:

Breakfast: Slice of baguette with either margarine or Bonne maman with tea or black coffee.

Lunch: Either two oranges or an apple and banana with water.

Dinner: Small portion of pasta with vodka sauce, half & half cream and some kind of special imported cheese that she hand grated. With water or tea.

Her BMI was like 18.

American women act like it's some fucking miracle to be thin or lose weight, it's not hard just don't eat trash.

And what hurts this woman? Indeed, it hurts to discover elementary biology: getting rid of a disease such as obesity or overweight makes you more sexually attractive. Likewise, if the husband lost that excess fat he would be objectively more attractive. They have discovered the obvious planet.

Does it hurt the ego? Of course yes, but it is time to assume that this "intellectual" and "decision-making" love requires high capacities for reflection, something that most people do not want or seem to need.

The sad part is she doesn't mention nice he was before, what he's been doing or when the change happened. They just had a kid 6 months ago so it's possible that even without the weight loss they'd be at a point with less stress and perhaps more niceness from him. With that said if it really is just that she's gotten more attractive then arguably she has a reason to be pissed at him.
