Communication between the sexes about the dating market won't be effective until women trust that most men don't want society to go back to oppressing female sexuality.

The feminist historical narrative in our culture is that women have been oppressed and sexually controlled for most of human history, therefore, any talk of anything that can in any way be related to the sexual marketplace is taken as an attack on women and an attempt to revert back to the previous oppression that women have been taught to and rightfully, fear.

For example, If you notice on this sub and social media in general, the moment you talk about the hypocritical way the current dating market is setup, women immediately straw man most arguments by insinuating you want to control/obligate women to have sex with men.

Ie. A lot of men here comment that there is a clear double standard when it comes to womens ridiculously high standards, ESPECIALLY when it comes to women being overweight and still maintaining insane standards for things like height/status/etc. Not only that but at the same time, these same women with crazy high standards, COMPLAIN and call men garbage when these men they have been highly selective for dont give them attention and cheat on them. Meanwhile, as we have all seen, the majority or average guy is getting basically little to no interest from these women and no chance to prove that men are not bad and actually could care about you.

When we rightfully point that out, most of the rebuttals by a lot of women here is 'Why do you care who people sleep with? Do you want to obligate women to have sex with men they dont find attractive?"

In the present cultural disphora, women are highly sensitive to ANY and ALL suggestions that may change they way they think about their interactions with men because they seem to believe that following mens suggestions and insights will eventually lead back to women becoming oppressed again, especially sexually oppressed.

In reality, most of us are just trying to point out a clear problem in your thinking about men/dating men, in the same way we would hope women would warn us if we were all complaining about a similair thing. For example, imagine that we complained that these extremely hot streamer/instagram female models on social media keep asking us for money and not giving us attention and then we called all women TRASH GOLD DIGGERS. Men wouldn't take as an attack to control our sexuality, we would just see it as common sense, stop giving your attention to men/women that dont reciprocate.

Until the current cultural narrative around female sexuality changes, women will never in general be open to listening to opinions, especially from men, that might help them evolve and find a more holistic approach to dating/mating/family rearing.

Its a major trust issue that feminism caused. Women just dont trust men, deep down they are concerned that we ultimately want to control them and oppress them.
