During my marriage, why did my wife make it so difficult when I asked her to do something small? I rarely asked her to do anything because I knew the retaliation that often comes with it so I just did it myself even if it made less logical sense. I did millions of things for her (asked and unasked). So I asked her to do something really small for my son. Not earth shattering, just drive a bit further (10mins) while she’s out with him and pick something up for him (not me). And all of a sudden it is why didn’t I do it for him, and all the other failures about why I couldn’t make that happen for him before asking her. And the worst part, is I thought about doing it myself after she returned home with him but didn’t because she would freak and ask why I didn’t ask her to get it because she was out anyway.

If anyone reading this wonders why men want divorce or disconnect emotionally, it’s this kind of bullshit.
