The worst thing a man can do is measuring their self-worth on who they can attract, because if we all did every man would be unsuccessful and depressed

from your other posts, I see you are just 20. That's good news. You have your whole life in front of you to have great dating (and other) experiences. What you need now is a plan to make yourself into the man who gets those. Take all those preconceived notions of being a loser and throw them out. Don't believe for a second that being just average height will hold you back (the average person is average height, and the average person has a partner).
Step 1 of the plan is getting yourself on a path towards making an income doing a fulfilling career. I'm not sure if you're in college yet or not, but if you aren't, enroll. Study a technology or engineering major ideally, but math, health, & finance/accounting aren't bad field either. Get involved on your campus and network/intern.
Step 2 is getting fit. Cardio, weight lifting, monitoring your diet.
Bonus step: see a therapist. They'll be able to help you talk through the anxiety and other issues you've been dealing with mentally better than any internet forum.
That's it bro. Just getting a good career and getting fit will put you easily in the top 20% of men, and should help your dating life tremendously.
You're so young and have so much time to fix things. Stop fixating on the fact that girls won't fuck you rn, and instead make yourself into a man they will fuck in 2-3 years. You got this man, you've got plenty of life to live for! Take it from a 25 year old who is currently just starting down the path of fixing these things for myself, you're ahead of the curve by realizing you've got a problem now. By a lot. Some dudes will let their whole life pass by without admitting to themselves they need to change.
[–]ajayt365 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I'm also 25 and in the same boat dude. I've a job, skinny muscular-fat, short. Trying to get fitter. I work out mainly for confidence and mental health though along with improving my build ofc.
Also thinking of getting therapy. Looking into mindfulness, meditation for now.
Girls are the last thing on my mind now. I'm prioritising my health over anything else.

Yeh but he is not going to do that. Most don't.

Seduction is not the thing you should worry about rn. Its getting your life together. Fitness, Financial, Relationships.
Start with fitness. You'll feel endorphins boosting your mood. You'll feel more confident in your body.
[–]bandsupjay 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Im sure this is a mental health problem, more than anything you just mentioned including his girl problem.
[–]Charge36 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
I don't disagree that getting fit should be a priority but I never felt like working out boosted my mood at all. On the contrary I hate working out. Being fit lets me do the things I love to do, but I never felt more energy or whatever just from being in better shape
[–]White_Mocha 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Its not just working out; nutrition plays a big part of it too. Im on the other side of the spectrum; love working out, getting a runner’s high from the treadmill, etc etc. But what really put it all together was the nutrition aspect of it. Some food synergizes with my body - turkey for example, while eating chicken absolutely wrecks it
[–]cmmckechnie 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Exactly. If you are working out and not giving your body the correct fuel to rebuild itself stronger then you’re actually just hurting your body. I just want to state my opinion that working out and upgrading your body will absolutely give you a boost of confidence like within weeks.
Body and mind.
[–]Mission-Elevator-100 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
See, you hate working out.
I did too, when I was in the gym. I've "tried" to like gym 3 times. Each time I dropped it after 1-3months of attending.
Right now I've found boxing and I'm completely in love with it, I can't wait for the next training.
Try to find something you really like. Muay Thai, Yoga, Boxing, Swimming, Karate, Ice skating... Idk. Don't force yourself at the gym if you hate it, I know I did.
[–]But_Kicker 35 points36 points37 points 4 years ago* (6 children) | Copy Link
It sounds like you are lacking a purpose. Your purpose this year should be bettering yourself. Hit the gym, be great at work, eat well, doing the hobbies you enjoy doing, be successful and be happy. Others do not dictate your happiness, you do. You can do this.
If you are in to reading, perhaps pick up the book "Man's search for meaning" by Viktor Frankl. It took me awhile to understand. Your current thoughts are relatable to millions affected by the events in that book. Overcoming your thoughts are relatable to the author and some others.

Maybe travelling might help because I didn’t travel a lot nice places I need to go to as much places as I can and stop restricting my self to the same city I guess I live my parents as well but yeah never went to Disney might go there but I don’t know where to start because I have anxiety and I’m just clueless
[–]But_Kicker 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Sounds like you're in Cali. Go explore some forests and some mountains. Take pictures, post on your IG. It's the best place for introverts! Lots of space and not lots of people. You are alone with your thoughts and the wildness sounds. Try it out, maybe you'll like it.

Uk is one of the hardest possible places to pick up women. Travel around its a big world.
[–]Radiant_Bluejay2184 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes travel! Barcelona, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Sydney, Melbourne so many nice places! Don't get yourself down, your self worth is not determined by ability to attract women. There are other things that could make you a much worthy person. Depending on your financial situation you could get fulltime (even part time otherwise) into social service, believe me when you help someone and receive heartfelt thanks, you'll know your worth ;) if social service isn't your thing find something else. Cheer up !!

Sorry to hear that Broski! I’m sad for you. If you feel like talking I’m here. Can even talk over the phone. This sounds like more than just a temporary thing. My guess is you have had a difficult intermatic life. Great job getting this far :-) there’s more work to do though and it gets better if you’re willing to do the work. It sounds like finding a good therapist would really help figure out the root of your depression. It should be in your childhood. Maybe all you need to do is get some therapy and work through things that happens. I’m not sure though, but if you need some encouragement or prayer or a call lemme know

This. My whole college life I was looking for a girlfriend, and when I got one, I realized in like 2 months that it wasn't all it's cut out to be and I wasn't ready for it from a self development standpoint. Getting laid/dating is just a nice litte rush of dopamine that'll trick you into thinking you have life figured out, but when you come down from the high, you're still the same guy.
Being grateful is hard nothing satisfies me I went to a poor country then back to a rich country and felt grateful dat I live in this country that doesn’t last long though

Those are just stories you have come to believe. You need to work with someone to break the negative cycle you’re in. All those thoughts are lies and stories that you’re brain is cherry-picking to get you to believe your worthless to protect you from pain. Read The Confident Mind. It might help you see how your negative thought pattern is keeping you stuck.

Hey, hope you are still here, see you are young and in the UK. Get some mental health help immediately, just call and tell them you are in a bad place and need emergency assistance. Don’t be ashamed of this!
Also, since you are UK based and young, look into mountain biking or skating. There are cool people in these areas and great biking there. Believe it or not, a sport can push a lot of the negative thoughts away and bring huge endorphin rushes.
Good luck man, save yourself by asking for help!

Sounds exactly like what I go through, at least your not alone, most average guys can’t get a date these days no matter what they do it’s just how the world works, women have so many options and all think they are celebrities so average guys don’t have a chance in todays dating scene, I honestly stopped giving a fuck about women a couple months ago, only thing I care about is money, if they don’t want me now they can’t have me later either, I promised myself I would never be someone’s 2nd option and the light at the end of their tunnel after they have had hook ups and kids with chads.
[–]TheRiverOfDyx 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
All I’m hearing is “I don’t love myself, I’m unwanted by my own self, I consider myself below average, I’m the worst, I hate MYSELF”.
Nobody else hates you unless you’ve given them reason to. Love your self, chummer, you’re the only one in the world who is capable of always giving that to yourself. Everyone else will be hit or miss, depends if they end up liking you.
Never EVER base your sense of self worth on others liking you. Are you someone YOU would look up to? Why the hell not? What have you been doing, trying to get others to look up to you? You can’t even look up to yourself because you’re busy dragging yourself through the mud thinking people will like you for it. Self-Pity is ugly, on anyone. Sadness isn’t, but Self-Pity is just Sadness Masturbation. Who wants to see someone mentally masturbate themselves? People don’t like positive braggarts (Look at me, I’m the best), so why would they like negative braggarts (I have it the worst, my life is so bad, everyone hates me, I suck). Yeah…FOR THAT you do. Shut up, you’re trying to break my mental wrist into feeling bad for you, I already do - stop making me regret feeling bad for you, you know?
Don’t excessively flaunt your Wins, don’t excessively flaunt your Losses, you’re doing that right now. Successful people never care about their failure, they care about how they can fix those failures and turn them into successes, or they ignore the failure - pull lessons from it, and forget it ever happened. Big deal, fell on my ass, project fell through - Go do another one, and do it right this time, y’know?
Pick yourself up off the ground and dust yourself off. I got a bunch of dirt on my clothes too, I’m not complaining about it - I’m already aware life fucking sucks. Quit calling attention to that, to yourself, and to others - for everyone’s sake. ESPECIALLY YOUR OWN. Words are powerful, our mind thinks in words, sounds, and pictures. Words are solid, they etch into our minds a picture of reality. If you keep inputting complaints, you’re only gonna get things to complain about.
Start showing gratitude towards yourself for making it this far, for surviving, show gratitude for your belongings, any friends and family you have - they don’t owe you anything, they choose to be with you. Thank them internally, if you thank them externally make it a little nod, don’t go into a giant wedding monologue how they’ve always been there for you…at least not all the time - this is another way the Ego makes us Self-Pity, by playing up everyone else so we can pretend we stopped pitying ourselves. There’s always a positive or negative version of a positive or negative response - be aware of that.
Always be aware of what you put through your mind. Fill it with positivity, what are your good sides. Shut the negatives down in your head “I suc- NOPE! Shut up, I’m perfectly imperfect as a human - work can be done, practice is always a good thing - I’ll practice and get better”. See?
Do some self work for a bit. Start with a goal of 6 months to get to a better place, continue with the goal indefinitely, 6 months is just a milestone for you to look back on. I expect in two years you’re in a way better place mentally, because you’re safeguarding your mind with positivity - in everything. Don’t judge anything as good or bad, just let it be a thing. It could lead to something better, or if worse comes to worse, that could lead to something better.
Always remain Realistically Optimistic.

Honey, you are so much more than any woman can give you or make you feel. The only way a woman can make you feel better is if you feel good about yourself to begin with. Women are attracted to confidence! Work within yourself to find out what you like about YOU✌🏼🌻
[–]Scouts2398 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Can’t tell you how many times I’ve fallen into this mind frame and slump and believed that the answer was going to come from someone else. Only to hookup or date a girl and get bored or empty validation from them. It was unfair to them and myself to look for validation from them. The only person that can help dig you out of this hole is yourself. Like others have mentioned seduction and women should come last in your priorities. Focus on being the best version of yourself and being comfortable with yourself before letting someone else into your life. Like others have mentioned go out into the world (travel), workout, focus on your career. At the end of the day you will always be alone in this world because anyone could leave your life at any moment and it’s up to you to make sure you rely on yourself for happiness. Many have mentioned to find your “purpose” however this is misleading because it makes you believe you need to find some magical talent to give your life meaning. When in reality you need to look at the small things in life and appreciate them to find happiness. Go experience things and find what makes you happy and gain some perspective. The whole seduction thread and game comes down to building yourself into someone that isn’t needy and is self reliant which is attractive to others (both women as sexual partners and even men as friends). You can’t fake confidence and being an interesting person, you need to experience it. Keep your head up and just remember everything is temporary and if you can’t be accepting and happy for yourself why should anyone else be. We often feel bad for ourselves for things we can’t control and that just creates a cycle of negativity and jealousy. Be a polarizing person instead of a blank canvas.
[–]FlanneryODostoevsky 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Suicide is the way to let all those people who took advantage of or disrespected you go on thinking they’re right. Think about how to live your life in a way you want to live it. The world needs every single person who feels like giving up completely. The toxic narcissists that use people — those are the ones the word doesn’t need.

Dude, you can't life your life based on externals. I went to a party two days ago, didn't get laid, didn't get a kiss, tried dancing but failed miserably, got rejected, a lot, even by a woman I thought it was in fact a woman, "they" wasn't.
My point is, if take these things into consideration I'm a tremendous loser, and it gets even worse if you count the party I went before this one. The world will put you down, people will do too, you expectations will be crushed over and over again. And if I told you it's gonna get better, I'm a liar.
The world, people, situations, none of this you can control, as fucked up as it is, it's up to you to not let it bring you down. Please don't make the mistake of emasculating yourself in your head. Contrary to what you might think, you are not a loser, there's no such a thing as a loser, because people came up with this shit. You don't have to be anything, free yourself from this weight, you are not supposed to be perfect.
Go out there and fail, go out to be rejected, make a mistake, try with all your might and fail, fail and fail, that's the way to learn. Fuck being perfect, refuse to comply, refuse to be another pretty face, refuse to let yourself be driven by their beliefs, live for your own', refuse to put yourself down because another girl rejected you. Refuse all the bullshit you've learned to accept and do it so willingly. You only got yourself, so you better treat yourself better.
I say this to you as a "loser", I'm a 20 year old guy who never got to second base. I'm learning how to live with me, how to not let myself be infected by externals.
As for dating advice, ask someone else.

Man I hate to see anyone like this. Just cuz you feel people see you as unworthy doesn’t mean you are. Everyone is worth something. The best of gets lost. And the best of the best have been lost before. Let’s use Robert Downey jr for example. Homeless. Depressed. And arrested for drugs. He came up from it. We all can we just need to find our purpose. You can’t find your purpose thru another person only yourself. But trust me my friend you are worth it!! From one man to another. I promise life is great. Just look for some hobbies. Or whatever you like to do.

I was in your spot when I was younger. I had no friends or girlfriend until I was 22. I managed to change my life simply by working out, cutting sugars, and doing my best to eat well. Apart from that I focused on myself, my goals, and my income. You don't need height, or to be genetically gifted to get women. What you do need is a solid concept of who you are, who you want to be and your goals in life. Your main goal should not be a girlfriend, find yourself first and be happy with who you are then you will find women. I came from a poor family, everyone in high-school thought I was weird but now I am fit, moderately socialable (still have social anxiety but you learn that it disappears once you force yourself to talk). It gets better man, you need to improve yourself not for a girl but for your own sake, once you are happy with yourself, and you know who you are as a person, the rest will fall into place.

Man, i feel for you but comparing yourself to others wont help you.
2 things you need to do:
1- go to therapy if you can, youre depressed and you need help with what is causing it and to work on your social anxiety
2- Be better for yourself. If what you need is a girl then you have to work on your confidence bc i have friends that are not a ducking Brat Pitt it all and they have confidence enough to get girls i consider out of their league
Is it easy? not it all but when you take the decision to follow that path youlll get the results with time. No girl will bring happiness if you're not even happy with yourself so start with you.
Wish you the best man, I know you will make it.

[–]bandsupjay -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
hey man. a lot of stuff you're going through, I went through too as a kid. Felt like I never belonged, people always hated me or I assumed so but it was really just them projecting their problems onto me, having a parent not liking me growing up. I remember nights where I felt like not living either. Nights I'd go to bed crying. Things happen but it's what make us who we are. Thankfully I found hope and I got out and got better. It's not over for you and never will be. You can still grow out this and change. If you need someone to talk to, you can hit me up and we can talk all day buddy. I've been through a lot of shit, somewhat similar to what you've been through but with persistence and setting my intentions right, I was able to get out and change a little bit of my future and how I view myself and other people. But I want to tell you, this is all in your head bro. Try not to magnify your problems its not as bad as how you make it seem. That's what we do as humans. We tend to magnify things when it's really not that bad, even I do that from time to time. I'm sure you're going to be okay, just don't let this shit control you. We can all grow and have space to grow that's whats so awesome about being human. Because we can learn a new habit and master it in some time. You got this bro. Your uniqueness is your value. No one is better than you. Not even me for crying out loud even though you're sitting here typing that. We're all the same. All of us. Even on our down days, sometimes it gets hard and you may feel inadequate but those feelings are never facts. They go away. Try not to live with these lies and remember you're awesome brother, no matter what. Hit me up if you want to talk. I'm here

No one is that attractive, very few people. Most just buy love. Work hard and you can "be attractive". But seriously, life do suck but it should be bearable. Have you receive medical help? It sounds simple but sometimes help to find ourselves. Even if there is no love, life is not that bad. Even if everything is lost you can still find beauty somewhere. Don't give up. We just have one chance.
Lad find Jesus, he will Guide you, all that negative talk is Satan. You want him to win?

Look into r/semenretention. For me it helped a lot with my confidence and there’s a lot of other benefits that comes with it too. For me it’s been life changing. Don’t give up yet
Feeling such strong emotions makes it a good moment to forge your own way in life. People can be very different, you are not here to make up for "normal" life. If you are now grown enough, you should turn your attention and energy only to matters and people that you find worth it. Throw away toxic and unnecessary and find value and happiness.

Just in case you dont message me, read a book called Healing your Emotional Self by Beverely Engel. You can help yourself man, and I’m sure what you’re going through, a lot of it is posted in that book. Give it a read, I’m sure you can help yourself and change everything within a couple months and live a new profound life.

Seems like your issues are more stemmed around self love. Take care of yourself op. Talk to a therapist. The world doesn’t owe you anything and it won’t be kind. You need to learn to love yourself. Have confidence in yourself. You don’t need anyone in your life right now because trust me, it wouldn’t make you happy.
Find your reason of living that isn’t reliant on other people. Don’t value your self worth on what others think of you.
You’re young. You may feel upset now but you have plenty of time to grow and change. To enjoy other things.
I find satisfaction in just being able to experience mundane things, because other animals just can’t. I am just grateful to be alive even if I’m sad at times. I know I can grow passed my it.

So start with the hobby so you have something to enjoy in the mean time. Message if you need a hand mate, we are here for you.
I get how you feel bro. I've felt that way many times during my life. I recommend therapy but also I've got a few good books for you so make sure to save this list.
Mode One (good for getting laid)
Radical Honesty (good for happiness)
Awareness by Anthony DeMello (awesome for your situation)
Anyways if I can make it out of that hole I bet you can too. Life is worth it, just make small changes little by little, no need to go crazy, like listen to these books 2 minutes a day or read a page a day. Eventually it will stack up
