What are some examples of what people do to enjoy their lives outside of the normal stuff?

I've got a ~5ish month period of mostly free time before a big commitment starts that I've been filling with working out, working, cooking, going out to the bar, Xbox with friends, and reading but I feel like I still have way too much free time that I could be using to do more cool shit. What are some of the cool things you guys do?

This could be way unpopular here, but sometimes staying at home and doing some kind of self-growth activity (reading, playing an instrument) can also make you interesting.

Not everything has to involve going outdoors and being with friends. Of course, it limits you from meeting women organically but not every women want "an adventure".

just my 2 cents anyway, as I like both activities (indoor and outdoor)

I do rock climbing and hiking too, in addition to weightlifting. Clubbing is something women like better than men; if it wasn't for one-night stands, almost all men would rather play video games at home instead.

I am like george. I am fascinated by the world, openly discuss a wide variety of topics, I dance latin dances and ballroom, I sail, I surf, I do skiing, I work, I go to university, I am passionate about music, I dress well, I look fit, like being witb my friends, people like being with me, and yet its hard for me to find someone. What you say is true, you need to have your own life and be happy with yourself, but somehow its not everything. I can only guess/ assume what it is, but I think its down to self worth (believing you are cool), but also plain luck/ timing. I think that having a george life will make it easier for you to think youre cool, to have high self worth. I also have to honestly say I am very critical, I dont go into bed, figuratively and literally, with people unless I really like them.

If you live a life that is fulfilling to you, and that's how it should be. Someone finds you boring, let that be it!

Only takeaway that I'd recommend one to have from this post is: "You don't have things to say on your dates, ask about theirs, and when they ask about yours, go ahead and say stories from your work, about things you are passionate about, anything that you'd like to achieve, there would be one who'd go for that boring life, don't chase girls/guys, they/no-one are/isn't the milestone of anyone's life but they themselves"

If someone doesn't understands that every person is different with their own set of activities they enjoy, might be cause of time restriction or some other issues in their life, believe me, you don't want to live with a party person but a person who is content with the notion that they are alive and kicking today!

Sure in general this is true, but none of it matters if you aren’t good looking. George sounds like a white dude—> prob a good looking white guy, hence why he’s getting girls. Ali sounds like he’s south asian therefore brown skin-> already gets a strike from women, prob short and maybe isn’t that good looking, hence why he isn’t getting women. None of that shit matters if you aren’t a good looking guy. Ik plenty of guys who lead good lives and do shit, most aren’t white and don’t get much success with women.

OP is right.

The more you priortize yourself, the less time you have to be needy.

I'll only say that you don't have to be an extrovert, social butterfly, or doing all of these extravagent things to be interesting, though it certainly helps. Basically, any type of hobby that looks good on a camera roll or Instagram is going to go far in making you appealing and it makes women excited for a lifestyle they can be a part of.

But as long as you prioritize the things YOU enjoy over anything else, you will come out on top. If you're an introvert and that involves reading, taking care of your home, writing code, painting, etc, then it can still have a similar effect, but not as universally interesting.

Why is there a requirement to "be somebody" if you're already self sustaining? Is ambition to be CEO of a fortune 500 company a requirement to be in a relationship? Where do you draw the line? What if you've already accomplished great things but you just want to chill and enjoy life for awhile? I don't buy some of this. While my Job is more like Ali's, my time is spent very much like George's.

I can assure you that's definitely far from all that's needed (haven't done any boxing for a while, but do plenty of other things too).

Sure, it's enough to get women interested in you, it's absolutely not enough to seduce women.

And this is a failing in Mark Manson's models; he comes from being an experienced 'PUA' who already has those skills to this point. It doesn't really work if you don't.

And of course, the irony is that many other subs view this one as "how to trick a girl into sleeping with you", when the reality is massively more "wholesome" 90% of the time and it's people saying "live an interesting and fulfilling life to attract the right type of people".

It's funny how much oversimplification this sub hosts. What OP is describing is at best the more effective way of getting a girl, but keeping her is another ball game. Social activities are necessary for having or broadening your social circle, but unless you have a certain financial comfort girls are not going to stick around assuming we are talking about late 20s and over.

To your example, George will meet more girls and will be much more likely to get a girl than Ali. But when that girl sees her friends taking fun ski trips to luxury resorts with their boyfriends/husbands , she'll want to go as well. So either George asks his richer friend Ali for a loan or he dips into his 401K to be able to maintain his new girlfriend. Otherwise, guess what happens 9 times out of 10 ...

Unless George the electrician also has a good amount of passive income. Then he's fine ;)

The key to a successful dating life is not "be a fun guy and socialize a lot" unless you are in your teens or early 20s. Guys would have figured that out by now if it was that simple. There is a necessary balance.
