I have a guy ive gone on a few dates with and while I enjoy his company im just not feeling the connection enough. He is a great dude, and really should be able to spend his life with someone who adores him. I admire him, but want so much more for him than someone who just likes the company. As a female who just did to someone, I can give you my reasons and maybe it could shed some light on your situation (though they are very different I'm sure). I had been talking to this guy for a bit and we talked everyday and kissed, ect. He started getting distant, would only text me at 2 am and sometimes during the day & would disappear most of the time. He blamed it on anime and video games. I would ask him to come over and he would only do so on his terms, never when I wanted to see him. I finally asked him out on a date that he had mentioned to me, I set a date and time and his response was that he had might have to go to a coworkers birthday party. Idk about you but I'd rather spend time with anyone except my coworkers, that's when I decided I was done. He expected me to wait around for him while he bullshitted and I refuse. We're you being consistent? Compromising? Communicating effectively and timely? Doing nice things to show you're interested in her? I'm js. 90 percent of the time if I friendzone a dude I'm either not attracted to him, or he did something to make me stop considering him as a potential partner.

Thats is a RED FLAG. In my experience its better to let her keep the distance she wants. Sometimes chicks will take sex or kissing off the table. Then later try to start it all up again. To be honest, I'm going through the same thing with a girl I'm seeing where I'm not feeling it as much and don't want to lead her on.
