I'm 6'3 and my 5'7 ex used to wear oversized shirts of bands she liked.

I used to wear her massive shirts because they fit me, and it felt cute. What was massive to her was quite fitting to me. I like it. In a relationship, I'll take a bracelet of theirs or a hair tie and wear it on my wrist every day. Makes me feel good.

I love that "I'm hers" shit. It makes me happy. I like belonging to someone I love.

It's girly and pussy and I'm not sure how girls feel about boys doing that, but whatever.

It makes you feel connected to them, it shows yourself and others that you're together, and it smells like them. Men often take things from their girlfriends too but they tend to be more like accessories as their girlfriends' clothes are usually too small. My fiancé and I have communal hoodies at this point (we especially like our school leaver hoodies with each other's names on, interestingly someone did ask me how I'd gotten into an all boys in England).

It's two reasons:

Sometimes boys have cool fucking clothes I legit just wanna wear. My boyfriend has great taste and we have semi similar styles and he's got so many pieces I just like, legit wish were mine. Which I'm lucky he enjoys dressing me and giving me his stuff when the washing machine shrinks it too much for him.
Scent. I steal stuff until it stops smelling like him. I can't explain how intoxicating that smell is, but it's like, I can smell it and it is a mild pain reliever, it relaxes me almost instantly, cures anxiety, makes me feel happy like a swaddled baby. Just putting a shirt that smells like him on, like fuck I'm calm as a Hindu Cow in it. It's so good. It's great to sleep in, it's great to wear to work when I'm probably going to feel negative work type emotions. And to put it on and then snuggle with him is a chef kiss I can't even tell you this is some weird marking my territory thing, it is like a compulsion the moment I smell his stuff to want to wear it.

I was always a fan of boyfriend hoodies and jackets because they smell like him, not sure if it's a pheromone thing or what but the combo of my mans scent plus the larger size usually softness of the garment is strangely comforting.

I suppose for some there's also the feeling publicly "claimed" aspect for some women. Like, I get privileges to wear this cuz this is my man or whatever, but for me it was mostly the former.

I might've done this (not the begging part which is a bit odd) back when I was dating if the clothes would fit since a lot of the women I knew had cool clothes. I assume there's just a nice feeling of wearing something that someone else you feel connected to has also worn.

I can wear some of my partner's trackies, but we've been together a long time now and it probably doesn't feel the same as wearing such in the honeymoon phase. Now she just buys "boyfriend shirts" instead of taking mine.

Men really think it has to do with sentiment 😂😂😂. No , It's basically another "gain " for women. The same way even " splitting " the bill for dates is not negotiable. For women, It's another" advantage " of dating men , learning and gaining a more masculine idea about clothes and fashion. Like it or not , a lot of women learn and adopt masculinity when it benefit them. They would wear sweaters knowing their bfs love skirt. They would use bad language and hate women who have high pitch voice.

They are just adhering more and more to masculinity and men who think they do it cause it has a sentimental meaning for it really need to rise their standards cause the BAR IS ON THE FLOOR.
