Title. Even communities I thought were pretty cool end up doing it. Pretty upsetting.

I also got banned from several subs for talking about the Womad and Megalia groups in SK which literally have members that raped young boys and defended them and harassed their parents. And yet I was the one that got banned for calling out this topic. How Disgusting.

The fact that I would have to basically put a long ass disclaimer “I’m not trying to encourage divisiveness by talking about my experiences I’m just pointing out men can be victims too and that ‘teach men not to rape’ is bad since it forces male victims to relive their trauma and blames men and erases female perpetrators” etc. shows just how “tolerant” these people are to experiences like mine. I get constantly tone policed and talked down to meanwhile when they imply “all men do (xyz)” etc. people get mad at you for calling it out and “not all men”-ing. Or they say horrid bullshit like “not all men but it’s always a man isn’t it?” That just erases the experiences of people like me

Just venting sorry.

Edit: honestly I’m just saddened at this point. They have a confirmation bias where they basically only notice women’s issues and are blind to men’s issues, and they have a confirmation bias where they only take note of men focusing on theirs as an example of that. Every time they happen it’s just a one off or they dismiss it. It’s just very hard to get them out of it.

Human society is sad.

Edit 2: thanks also to everyone else who came forward and shared their own stories.
