We are a diverse group but I generally find heinously discriminatory language gets downvoted into oblivion here. There are of course exceptions but, my bias is obvious, this space is much less hateful and more likely to push for an egalitarian perspective than the popular feminist subreddits.

As someone who has survived abuse at the hands of two specific women in my life I can say 100% confidence that my issues are specifically with Feminism and Feminists and not Women.

The majority of feminists are women, but that doesn't mean the majority of women are feminists..
However, feminists love to claim that if we hate feminists / feminism then it means we hate women.. because it fuels the victim complex they have going on..

I also think there should be a specific distinction made here..
If you lurk you might see a post go up about a specific women getting out of being sent to jail for her crime(s) when a man would 100% be jailed.

You may see some posters venting about how unfair it is because men are clearly held to a higher standard than women are when it comes to committing crimes.

Venting is one thing.. however, if someone posts something misogynistic, we are generally pretty good at:
1) Calling that user out
2) Reporting the post

The mods then usually delete the post.

But go lurk on a feminist sub and watch what happens..
They will make generalizations about men, or misandrist comments like #KillALLMen and nobody calls them out and the mods on their sub do NOTHING

But yeah.. We don't hate women here..
We love and support the women in our lives..
We just feel that our rights / issues are constantly swept in the rug in favor of promoting the rights / issues of women...

You are fine. That being said, we do not have time, patience or any degree of understanding towards them. They are ill and unhinged.

Yet, they will tell you we are the ones who are wrong. They are repulsive and all they like to do is rage bait people. Imagine living like that, when that’s your goal in life.

Imagine, being so unhappy with yourself in your own mind and living like that day to day.

I know a group of people that have competitions on how unhinged of a post they can make and throw it on lunatic subs, so they can see who gets the most upvotes and likes. It’s laughable.

We know many women are not like that. It’s less than a fringe minority that are like that. Normal people don’t act like them in public.

I think sadly there are some who don’t understand feminism and women are two different things, though I think most here do get that. When someone here blames all women for the actions of feminism, they usually get called on it from what I’ve seen. We see regular posts about women who have supported equal rights for men.

As for feminism, unfortunately, it’s not just a minority of hardcore feminists that are the problem. It’s mainstream feminism that fights to advantage women and disadvantage men. In fact we see feminists who say men deserve equal help come under the feminist wrath, Erin Pizzey and Hoff-Sommers being a couple examples. Feminism is overall an incredibly anti-male movement and one of the largest obstacles in achieving equal rights for men.

I'm 100% with women who like men, and my considerable life experience (mid-Gen X) tells me there are lots more of them than there are man-hating feminists.

The problem isn't even the minority of shrill, hardcore misandrists who seem to dominate the conversation. The problem is that they have been willing and able to leverage the coercive power of the state to make the world a much more difficult place for men to navigate. Granted, there are bad men out there as well. But the species as a whole is much better off after men (mostly) built a civilization. It certainly beats living as hunter-gatherers on the African savannas

Reality cures most of our misunderstandings.

Go outside and see that most people are smiling at each other, enjoying positively in each other's company. Bad things happen, and many people have a defensive reaction to the world, but you'll find in general that people are much better than we think them to be.

Naw, don't even begin to hate women in general. I just hate the loud extremists that hold and are given the microphone.

I'm also disappointed in any equality movement that thinks equality can be achieved without considering all sides, and that focusing on one side's issues only can ever result in anything other than constant power swings and the encouragement of me vs. you mentalities, demonization and division.

And yes, this includes men's rights as a movement.

Speaking only for myself, I object to the stupidities in feminism. I don't have a problem with women or the sane bits of feminism. For example, women (and men) should be able to work without fear of sexual harassment and should be paid the same for equal work.

I seriously object to the "buffet" approach feminists have to the existing difference between the sexes, so they want equal pay (no problem) but expect men to pay for everything (like how is that fair?).

Most women and girls are feminists to some degree and support it's misandry in some way or another.

If feminism wasn't so supported by women, it wouldn't have been so successful.

It wouldn't have garnered multitudes of women on social media supporting it and allowing it to continue in legislation, academics, the judicial system, and so on.

Society is gynocentric, and you coming in here and saying this is no different than Germans from WWII telling us that not all Germans dislike us, besides doing nothing against the regimes.

So no, it's not all women, but a large majority of women are hugely left leaning and support this wave of women's rights, girls included. These things are being taught in schools, being shown in social media.

The pervasiveness of it all is all encapsulating, and women are doing absolutely nothing against it. That's really part of the problem men have with feminism is the women who support it and are indifferent to men's issues and say and do nothing against the narrative feminism has presented itself throughout the decades.

The issue is clearly not with women, nor with the dictionary definition of feminism or is the problem with the legitimate concerns of women in general. Rather, the issue is that some feminist solutions to those problems often come at the expense of other things, including men.

On a different note, some of the feminist frameworks in academia do seem quite agenda-driven when it comes to their views on certain areas.

You're absolutely right, and I agree, yet, sadly, there's many women that, although not having the sick unhinged opinion some feminists have, do tend to have some misandry. And example, is my fiancée, Last week we had an argument when she showed me a video of a guy speaking about how when he divorced he chose to stay in the same house and everything just for the sake of being there for his children and I told her that was her respectable and a good view. And then I told her I strive to be a good father when the time comes and if, any marriage I have failed, I'd push with claw and teeth to keep custody of my children cause I want to be with my kids whatever happens. Then hell broke loose, she told me I was an asshole and how could I think of ripping a mother from her children, yet in her mind somehow taking the children from the father is completely right and we should surrender our kids no matter what cause women should keep everything,and if she knew I thought like that, she wouldn't be with me. So I'm now seriously considering calling things off. I know not all women think like that, and even less have the extremely sick vision feminazis have. Yet there's much to do to have a more egalitarian point of view

I love women, but frankly I'm very afraid of the power they can wield against me, either from the authorities or lying to other men.

I grew up with my mother threatening to call the police on me for bad behavior or trying to corral men that she knew into manhandling me, on top of my sisters inheriting the crazy behavior for a while and doing just about the same thing. Feminists being a group that wants to expand such powers on top of ruining all the hobbies I have interests in and ruining any male spaces are naturally no friend of mine.

You need to apply the same optics here as your initial premise. This community is made up of individuals. The opinions will range from men here who think all women are trash, to men who are borderline feminists themselves. The 90% majority obviously understand that women and HC feminists are two different things. There are going to be fringe people. Just like the HC feminists are fringe female population. I was raised by a single mom with a help from my Grandmother who was a widow my whole life.

They actually experienced a lot of sexism an yet, aren't rabid man haters.

I have been married 21 years and I have a 20 year old daughter.

I am invested in women having happy successful lives.

I also have an 18 year old son who I am scared shitless for.

I know it isn't all women, I am not even that worried about individual women that do suck ass.

What I am worried about is societal trajectory on the kind of world we are living in.

I don't mind feminist ideas but at this point in our culture (Western culture) women's issues are very nuanced.. and are kind of in a shade of gray compared to third world countries and the past. But these radical feminists believe that everything is black and white.. they can't accept that they actually aren't really oppressed and they actually have a lot of plus sides to being a woman in Western culture.

I admit, though I try to keep it to feminists, in my time I have sometimes fallen into bitterness at women in general. I try not to. But there was a lengthy period of my life where nearly every interaction was negative -and I took the "if you meet assholes all day you're the asshole" thing to heart and tried to be better and it only seemed to make it worse. It can be disheartening. But I feel like I see more good women and less radfems every day.

What I think I came to realize, after a time, is that many women are actually really great people, but like men have struggles with things like anger, women have their own struggles against their worse natures. However, unlike men, women are actively pushed to be worse on a whole slew of behaviors by society and the media. Once you see it, it can be truly painful to watch. Good women will be bombarded by this from all sides, and sometimes they succumb. It hurts when it's someone close to you.

Understanding that process, realizing how many women must feel frightened or besieged and don't really want to hate men has also helped.

One thing to keep in mind on this particular sub:

You know how a lot of women mistrust men by default regardless of whether or not they've actually been a victim of SA?

Many men here tend to mistrust women. Rather than harassment, it's emotional invalidation/manipulation. Rather than SA, it's false accusations or a life-wrecking divorce. The most bitter are generally firsthand victims, and many others see such things as too common to not be cautious.

If that sounds similar to how women respond to topics like harassment and rape, that's because it is. The thing is, men don't have many platforms to talk about stuff, so it's also difficult to moderate people without silencing them.

So uh, yeah. Just keep in mind that the more negative voices are generally victims, and that the worst voices don't represent the average by any means. For the most part, guys here just want to be treated like they're human too.

Basically if you're a woman and you find it impossible to acknowledge male specific suffering then you are the problem.

I don't know that I'd say most women are like this but many are - enough that are worth talking about. The real problem is that most women, if they wanted to, probably could get away with this and not be shamed one iota of a peep for doing so. This is the world we live in. Society has decided that it's perfectly acceptable to shame and insult men only for just about anything under the sun. Society has decided that women have a monopoly on feelings and that it's also at the same time mens' fault for it being this way.

This sub has a lot of guys on here who don’t go outside and don’t get girls, so then they just hate on anything woman related online to make themselves feel better.

But it also has a lot of good information, studies, and news stories that help people understand certain double standards and inequalities that affect men. It depends on what comment section or post you go to. You’ll get either crowd. Generally, I’d say the posts here are 70% good. But the comment sections are an even 50/50

One time I got downvoted for saying a guy assaulting a woman, throwing several punches in a row while she was on the ground, was “excessive.” So that made me realize a lot of people in this sub genuinely are just people that hate women. But that’s a minority I think.

Edit: I had positive things to say about this sub too and got downvoted for it. I think you can tell which type of comment section this is. Oh well.

Edit 2: despite the dumbass replying to me and acting like this isn’t a real issue, look at this post. This shit is present. And yes, plenty of people are calling this guy out. But plenty also agree with him.

Edit 3: and here is a prime example of what this sub often looks like. Oh boo hoo I can’t get laid, it’s hard being a guy.
