You wanna hear my opinion? Because of all that metoo and SA men put some distance to women in the work environment to avoid being accused. So women didnt get the "extra treatment" aka "men helps female co-worker out" and thats why the satisfaction has dropped in 2017.

Women dominate shitty jobs like public sector where everyone is clueless, sloppy, halfassed etc.

They also drop their jobs to start families so that shows their commitment. A lot of it is a performance to show off to men.

Realistically women can work less hard than men and get promoted on quotas, fastracks DEI etc. Endless pampering and privilege and they're still oppressed and unhappy.

Maybe one day we can consider the term "spoilt fucking brats" to describe this situation.

Well the problem is that most women in the US can't be satisfied regardless of the position they hold in life. They demanded to be corporate drones because "they don't need no man" ....then went on to complain that men aren't doing anything for them

They could be housewives with a little job, living in a house where she doesn't have to pay for a single thing, then complain that she either has to "do everything" or "he's not around enough"

They could also be some of the highest earners like they CLAIMED they wanted to be, now they complain about that because "not enough high earning men"

Somehow no matter the position they hold, every complaint they have circles back to whether men are servicing them how they want to be serviced. So no, in that regard they can never be satisfied with ther jobs

When you look at feminism, the entire point of work was to become independent from men. The illusion in this scenario was that if they got a high earning job, they were going to find a man of their caliber and taste, a high quality of life and avoid household chores or as they call it "unpaid labor". My speculation is that it is has to do with how mundane jobs can be. There is not much of an up-going ladder to better in jobs like there is in many things in life. In jobs, the process of going uphill is much steeper than women anticipated.

I work in a company that’s approximately 70-75% women and I can tell you that they are miserable ALL AROUND. Not all of them, but a very high percentage just don’t seem happy with anything.

You can see patterns with these types of articles. If women are perceived as worse off by a certain metric it is deemed to be a problem that needs to be fixed.

Whereas if women do better by a certain metric (i.e. meaning men do worse) then it is deemed as a win for "equality"... The double standards are showing.

Also is a 5% difference really that significant that it warrants an article/ government funding /initiatives/changes to workplace policies in order to correct it? (Or whatever they're arguing for).

Well when you get right down to it most women don't want to work, they want to be mothers and stay at home. What do almost all women do when they have kids? They don't go back to work if they have a choice in the matter. We have brainwashed women the last 40 years to be career oriented like men and now the younger generations are figuring out they don't really like it.

I think it is because they have unrealistic expectations. If you read the FIREyFemmes forum on reddit a lot of women there just expect or demand high paying jobs when these take years or decades to work up to, and you have a lot of women who are super materialistic and go crazy with spending.

Of course there are men like this too. I am friends with one.

I think women are truly never satisfied when they have to work. Sooner or later the biological instinct to have kids kicks in and they want to become stay at home moms. Sure, some women are career driven but the percentage is low. It's also interesting that these career driven women usually have many more demands in regards to a partner.

MeToo is largely about seeing sexism that isn’t there. Sexual assaults have declined since the 1990s, in stark contrast to the message women are receiving.
What many such articles refuse to acknowledge is women are working more and are less able to opt out of work than women a few generations ago. Of course they are less satisfied. Most people would love to work less. Men of course know it’s unlikely they will find a woman to provide fur them so they have no click but to find satisfaction in their work. In contrast, I’ve seen many women dreaming if the day a husband will take care of them allowing them to work less or not at all.

Food for thought:

A world that men created to facilitate ease of life for women.

Look up the terms gynocentric and the feminine imperative.

Women want the rights of men, privileges of being women (chivalry) and the accountability of children.

Feminism has become female chauvinism.

Feminism has masculinized women.

Chasing education, career advancement, status and wealth are masculine metrics of success. These are qualities women find attractive in men. Not vice versa. Feminism has scammed women to pursue these metrics for the past 3-4 generations.

Men find beauty as the primary attractive quality. Her career, education and etc are a bonus but it doesn’t make her hotter in a man’s eyes. A 42 year old female professor isn’t as attractive as a 21 year female super model or IG model. Women will shame men for their preferences but we are supposed to accept their standards.

Women fall in love with what they hear. Men fall in love with what they see. That’s why women wear makeup and men lie. Both are deceptive practices.

A women’s personal worth is not correlated with her attractiveness to the opposite gender. Women love to conflate the 2 and use that as an attack vector against men.

Misogyny is unacceptable but misandry is? Toxic masculinity is not acceptable but toxic femininity is?

my take on this:

women want equal working rights, they get equal working rights

men prefer being the primary provider and wife staying home to take care of kids

for decades after obtaining working rights, women decide “hey it’s honestly not so bad just staying home and taking care of the kids. husband brings home enough money for us to live great.”

inflation+wage stagnation, government says “things are more expensive now, but if both man and woman work you guys will have even more money than before”

“well now we have to work”

men never wanted any of this, just wanted to provide for their wife and kids and come home to a happy family

fast forward to now, men are still expected to work the most mentally and physically taxing jobs (because we are stronger), work almost 40% longer paid hours, and help finish up with dinner and house tasks once home from work.

however, many studies will argue that women work an hour longer everyday because apparently taking care of your children and home is equivalent to spending 8-12 hours a day working for a millionaire/billionaire that doesn’t know or care about you, getting paid approximately 1% of the value you actually bring to the company, and getting to spend zero time with your family in those 8-12 hours.

equal rights sure don’t feel very equal

ETA: this literally doesn’t apply to me. it’s just an observation. this isn’t the rant of a fed up working man. i’m a jobless college student. but the times i have worked, it’s also very apparent that the expectations for me are far more physically taxing than my women coworkers. worked at best buy. someone needed a 100 pound tv? i’m grabbing it, not a woman. 500 pound washer-dryer set? i’m grabbing it. worked at fedex for one day. me and a woman were starting together. despite her being bigger and older than me, she was sent to handle light packages while i was put on the 80+ pound line. i quit.

Women are pulled in every direction in this day and age. They've got to be everything at once. They're told they should go to college to get a good job, but they should also be the primary care giver for their children. They're told to have children but are also told they should work on their careers. They're told to be girly and pretty, but those traits don't translate very well to workplace culture and advancement. Women's roles have gone through a large culture shift in the last 30-40 years, and our generations are the first to experience it and have to figure out how to navigate it. All this without the government providing any actual structure/support/guidance for the population at large on how to navigate it, and it's just left to the general population to figure it out.

Women are having a tough time also. Their minds are wired to be caregivers, detail oriented, social, dependent, and with a partner who can help. They're struggling to figure out their role in this new world, and men harping on them laughing at them isn't going to fix it.

It's honestly our responsibility as men to help them navigate this new world and have them fill roles that naturally are reciprocal of their natural skills and talents as women just like men have already established in their fields. Y'all are too busy harping on women to see they are just as scared and lost in this new way of life as men are.

Anyways, rant aside, women are not happy in the workplace because a lot of these jobs they are going into are not reciprocal to their natural talents as women.
