"You're the man, you're supposed to lead/approach/etc."

But when men tell women they're not "supposed" to be loud or aggressive, or that they should fall in line and do what a man says, or that they should want to stay home and not work, that's universally considered not okay.

Now obviously, if you're more liberal/egalitarian, this probably won't apply to you personally, but it does happen.

And for the record, I don't agree with either gender telling the other what they're "supposed" to do, and I abhor gender roles.

But if society is going to come down on men for trying to box women into their gender roles, it needs to do the same for women who try to pressure men into playing male gender roles.

EDIT: Title should probably say "Some women" or maybe "Conservative women." Would change it if I could.
