There's a misconception that nightlife/clubs/parties = easy women. That's true, but what's also true is that attraction as a whole isn't purely looks based.

But think about this, at a club too loud to hear anyone, as a woman, you ONLY have a man's looks to go off. Why would they go for someone they aren't as physically attracted to?

Nightlife is great the closer you get to conventionally attractive men.

I'm a solid 5/10. I work out and have been told I'm jacked, and dress decent but am quite short at 5'7, and am Asian in a Western country, and have middling conversation skills.

I have 0 luck with nightclubs and bars because not that many women are attracted to a guy who looks like me and that's fine. The most I've ever gotten was a girl grinding on me once or twice, and a singular make out sess that lasted like 5 seconds.

But when I'm in situations where I can show off my personality and conversation skills, humour, etc, like dating events, and approaching in person, or getting introduced, I do fine. I had 3-5 dates after a few days on OLD and a dating event in the span of about 2 weeks. One I left the dating event with, with another from instagram DMs, and another from a random dating app.

I can tell you with utmost certainty that it will not Be the greatest night of your life. In fact, if you are too eager for that to happen most women will smell it from a mile away.

If you’re going alone I suggest trying to find a wingman or get “in” with a small group ASAP.

Obviously this is the seduction subreddit, so I'm going off topic here, but I just want to say: sex is not everything. Sure, it's an important part of a balanced life, but there are many other important factors too. You mentioned you're low on energy, watching a lot of porn. I don't want to read into it too much, but it sounds like you might not have many hobbies that bring you out of your home.

This is a glorious goal, what made life feel like magic before fourth wave. After a 10-month dry spell I remember setting out to get laid on the night of my 21st birthday. This was over 15 years ago, so diff world, but how it should work imo.

I went alone to a quiet live music venue, sat at the bar till a guy friend of mine noticed me, offered to take me to a rowdier live show (this became a thing, mutual wing-man dynamic). To even *get to* play the number's game you have to already be doing some things right.

If you're a virgin at 28 you probably have a whole host of other mental issues to resolve before you can even do beginner-level pickup. You likely don't have a "number's game" yet.

Guys in your situation either 1) have so much approach anxiety they can't approach at all or 2) don't have that much fear of approaching but their approaches are so uncalibrated that they get a disproportionate amount of very bad reactions.

It's extremely unlikely you will become a self-taught wizz at pickup overnight, even on New Year's Eve. This is true for any complex skill.

In your case, you need to consider what is holding you back from taking the *next step*, not trying to skip a thousand steps and rushing to the finish line.

Pickup is difficult to learn, especially when you're self-taught and already have lots of bad habits, so if your goal is to lose your virginity the best way to do it is to bring yourself up to a *normal* baseline of self-esteem and sociability and get laid at least once through social circle and only *then* consider if you want to improve your dating life even more by picking up women from nightlife.

(Also having this sort of extremist, all-or-nothing attitude towards getting off of porn is likely to make you have extreme relapses anyway, but that's the least of your worries at this point.)

Just go out & make casual conversation with girls. Make eye contact with the girl & smile. Notice how she reacts. If she smiles back, go & approach her 5-10 minutes later.

Tell her you find her attractive & wanted to find out if she was cool. If she is with her friends, a knowledge them. Ask them about the group, how they met, etc.

Looking 19 at age 28 is likely a stretch. When I was in college the nontrad students pushing 30 definitely did not blend in with everyone else. You could just grow a beard and put on some muscle if you haven't already. Your height will probably be more of a hurdle, but it's something you can't change and so don't worry about it. Carry confidence, believe in yourself, and focus on meeting new people. Don't worry so much on the outcomes. If you're rejected, no problem. Wish her well and talk to someone else.

First off, good luck.

Second, be careful. You are putting everything into 1 night when this is a long process. Maybe you do get lucky, but i've been inyour shoes before. The inexperienced, shy guy who thoguht "ill go clubbing talk to every girl because girls at clubs are looking to fuck" and left disappointeed and it just got me more and more depressed. This is a process. I think you should definetely go out adn talk to girls but dont expect anything outside of your own enjoyment. Go out and have a blast with friends and make part fo that night talking to girls.

Few things though. If you have a babyface, grow a beard (i know it's just a week away but hoepfully you can grow something of a beard in a week). I wouldnt say i have a babyface but not having a beard makes me look almost like a teenager (maybe like 20). I never grew my beard even when girls told me i looked better in one. THen i grew one because i wanted to get girls and it definetely helped. But a nice outfit, im not syaing break the bank but buy something that makes you look good. Nice bomber jacket ( i buy mine from amazon for like 30 bucks), nice plain shirt, new era cap.

Get a nice haircut, i used to get buzz cuts but when i got fades i did much better. And wear cologne a nice strong one. Girls like a guy who smells good.

Now again, the number 1 thing to getting girls is personality. Obviously looks matter but if you got the personatliy you can get past any discrepency you have. But it's gotta be confident and playful. You have to go into every conversation not caring if you get her number or not. Again this is hard to have that mindset because it requires you to change how you think. It can take months of this to get to that point. So that's why i say dont throw everything into 1 night. Dont be the nice guy. What i mean by that is dont be so agreeable. It's ok to disagree with women and make playful comments. Tbh, i have found treating girls like they are a bro works a lot.
