• The alleged International Rape Day:

[1], [2], [3], [4], [5].

It was technically "National Rape Day" but since the hoax was widespread around the world, some said it was a "International Day".

  • Men leaving sick wives with cancer:

[1], [2].

Here a user who made a few threads debunking it, and others too.

  • Men in Europe supposedly giving women shots at pubs and nightclubs in 2021 to 2022:

[1](https://theweek.com/news/crime/954531/nightclubs-facing-boycott-reports-needle-spiking), [2](https://www.reddit.com/r/nottingham/comments/144biq6/what_happened_about_the_epidemic_of_young_women/), [3](https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/jun/23/france-syringe-attacks-street-music-festival-fete-de-la-musique).

[Obviously, it was fake](https://thecritic.co.uk/a-moral-panic-that-should-have-been-spiked/). In Spain it was known as "pinchazos" and it was really just the same; [not a single real confirmed case](https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S1752928X2400101X).

  • The alleged group of 70k men who wanted to kill/rape women:

[1](https://medium.com/illumination/this-rape-group-chat-has-70-000-male-members-but-please-tell-me-how-i-should-say-some-men-0f761d4aa018).

I put it here together with the other hoaxes because, in the mainstream, nothing has came out of that case. Either their 70k members never actually did anything or the concern for it was fake.

  • Paranoia about taxi drivers:

[1](https://www.infobae.com/sociedad/policiales/2020/11/18/rosario-la-historia-de-la-chica-que-sospecho-que-un-taxista-la-iba-a-secuestrar-y-lo-denuncio-en-un-video-que-se-hizo-viral/)

A case from Argentina (so you might want to use a translator like DeepL if you don't know the language) in 2020, where a woman thought taxi drivers ordering food on the phone was code used by traffickers and kidnappers. Obviously, it was fake. Spoiler alert: [the woman responsible for it didn't even apologise](https://x.com/MonkeVirtud/status/1341552798052339714).

  • Groups that allegedly advocated for the rights of rapists in Scotland:

[1](https://archive.ph/Qo3aH), [2](https://www.instagram.com/reel/DQcXf0hiB_i/).

The mainstream and social media treated [a group in favour of innocent men falsely accused of sex offending](https://www.jimsscotland.org) as a "rapists' rights groups".

  • InCel violence and terrorism:

[1](https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/1057610X.2020.1751459).

[Though InCels are amongst the least violent groups of men](https://www.researchgate.net/publication/372309419_Why_isn't_There_More_Incel_Violence), there's still several who think they'd be considered terrorists.

  • Women's health not being taken seriously:

The argument that “women's health isn't taken seriously” dates back to [before the 2000s](https://www.nationalaffairs.com/public_interest/detail/there-is-no-womens-health-crisis), but more recently it's been [claimed](https://x.com/prinkasusa/status/2041183732846211284) hair loss treatment receives more attention. Of course, all of that is to ignore women's health gets [more](https://jameslnuzzo.substack.com/p/endometriosis-funding) [financing](https://jameslnuzzo.substack.com/p/nih-funding-mens-womens-health) than men's.

  • The widespread use by men of burundanga/scopolamine in order to kidnap and rape women:

It's a common cliché, really. Supposedly there're a lot of cases but really nothing confirmed. [Here's](https://x.com/nicolasmaggi87/status/1489570083131301892) [the case of a man](https://www.eldiarioar.com/sociedad/dios-punk-historia-suicidio-escrache-reemplaza-justicia_1_8634839.html) who committed suicide after being falsely accused of, amongst others things, using burundanga for that end (all of that in Spanish).

  • The supposed rare prevalence of false accusations:

[datagoneodd](http://www.datagoneodd.com/blog/2015/01/25/how-to-lie-and-mislead-with-rape-statistics-part-1/) [has](http://www.datagoneodd.com/blog/2015/01/25/how-to-lie-and-mislead-with-rape-statistics-part-2/) [several](http://www.datagoneodd.com/blog/2015/03/12/the-lost-art-of-fact-checking/) [articles](http://www.datagoneodd.com/blog/2015/05/19/narrative-in-search-of-a-statistic/) [exposing](http://www.datagoneodd.com/blog/2015/06/28/what-do-we-know-about-false-rape-allegations/) [it](http://www.datagoneodd.com/blog/2015/07/14/professor-twitter-and-the-problem-of-the-low-false-rape-narrative/). In Spain, people claim "only 0.001% of reports on gender violence are false" which is debunked [here](https://medium.com/el-saco-del-coco/la-bula-de-las-denuncias-falsas-b5f884966d6f).

  • That the majority of sexual aggression against males is by other men:

In Shitter it gets parroted all the time, with users often [copypasting](https://x.com/prinkasusa/status/2014690831119343703) [their own posts](https://x.com/prinkasusa/status/2028308496463413456)

  • "80% of organ donors are women 😼👊, most of donations go to men":

[1](https://x.com/ftheminion2023/status/2042932931837202748), [2](https://www.heart.org/en/news/2021/09/24/women-may-be-more-willing-than-men-to-donate-organs).

It's exaggerated; 60% of **living** donors are women, but most **deceased** donors are [men](https://www.transplant-observatory.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/2024-data-global-report.pdf) and it varies significantly by region.

  • That 95.1% of men admitted having forced a woman to have sex:

[1](https://x.com/MrsButters/status/2043043772313878986)

This one's recent so I don't think I need to explain it. Beside what others have said, I'd point out it's all self-report.

  • Mothers are more likely to be murdered by their sons than by partners and/or strangers:

[1](https://x.com/alorazei/status/2044408034613764275)

Of the report they cited, just 12 mothers were killed by their sons vs. 11 by strangers.

  • The "illegality" of miscarriage:

After Roe v. Wade was overturned, people were saying that miscarriage would also be illegal. Spoiler: [it wasn't true](https://www.liveaction.org/news/treatments-miscarriage-ectopic-legal-state).

Those are the ones I remember, if anyone else remembers more hoaxes they didn't take accountability for spreading and apparently have forgotten about, you can mention them in the comments.
