Don't promote cam girls as a route for men to take. It's a waste of your money and lowers your positive qualities is the eyes others and also yourself.

[–]pusangani6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

and we know women just love sluts in the smp

[–]Petrus_ 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Of course that's a thing. Literal prostitution for internet money. Don't get me wrong, crypto is great. But not for this.

[–]Hammspace34 points35 points36 points 8 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

This post is so true. I started investing in crypto currency three months ago. It was a risk, and I was told by every woman that I mentioned it to that I was going to lose all of my money.

I’m up 20K on a 1K investment. Today.

I just hosted a brown bag lunch inviting everyone in my office to learn more about the concept. Afterwards, 10 men approached me and 1 woman (software engineer) about forming a group to invest. The difference in risk posture and interest is palpable.

[–]truedemocracy33 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

what currency returned 20x today? Unless you are talking about leverage/future investments. Seems hard to believe.

[–]nonfiction_196814 points15 points16 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Ripple. Oct 5th - 0.22, Jan 5th - 3.05

Litecoin Oct 5th - 51.43. Jan 5th - 245.32

https://coinmarketcap.com/

Every Crypto is up by huge percentages since Oct, Oct was the beginning of explosion.

edit: He said he got in 3 months ago, I assume he means as of today he's up 20%, not today specifically.

[–]1CoupDeGrace220 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Don't know jack about crypto yet this is awesome stuff to know, definitely researching it once i got some time tonight, could you give me a very basic explanation of why crypto is on such a rise?

[–]nonfiction_19681 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Honestly, my son go me into it a only couple months ago. I had heard of bitcoin when it started up but at that time it was used for mostly dark web stuff. I'm not sure what the reason behind the current jump is. I know it's all moved beyond the dark web and is becoming usable in many more places. Countries like Russia and China are investing major dollars in hardware to mine it. Hype had a huge role in the rapid growth too. People felt like they were missing out.

I haven't done a ton of research and my son and I didn't put a lot of money in, but at this point we're well up on our small investment...really just because of the timing like the OP.

[–]Darkone060 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Hammspace9 points10 points11 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Sorry for being unclear. 20X return since I started three months ago. Nothing did that well today.

[–]truedemocracy30 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

ah ok, yea that makes more sense.

[–]beta_no_mo4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why would you bring this into your job? It's the definition of shitting where you eat.

If you think sex in the workplace can fuck your life up, wait until these idiots lose thousands on something that you told them to invest in.

[–]GarethBaleWannabe1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

10 men approached me and 1 woman (software engineer) about forming a group to invest. The difference in risk posture and interest is palpable.

I literally was just thinking this. I got into weedstocks early and I had a lot of naysaysers, but there was some men who were interested in my sales pitch and requested for more info and sources.
Now that it has become practically mainstream, more people have been asking for me for advice and there are all men. The women, I tell, give me the googly eyes and are like, I prefer spending money and start giggling. This personal experience confirmed that men are producers and women are consumers.
Keep in mind these people were coworkers at a major transportation Software engineering firm

[–]WhorehouseVet0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly, women are risk adversed. It's biology that femeiNists and sjw fail to realize.

[–]Modredpillschool84 points85 points86 points 8 years ago (64 children) | Copy Link

Even with the alt-coins blowing up right now, none of the women I know are interested. "I don't care about your fake coins..."

Meanwhile almost every coin I have has seen a 100-1000% increase...

There's certainly a bubble happening right now. It's fascinating. Nobody wants to miss the next bitcoin, and because of it, people are jumping on every damn coin there is. And since they know the time frame to the moon is possibly a few years.. everybody's holding except the day traders.

Makes me think we should start a red pill coin.

[–]rp_newdawn37 points38 points39 points 8 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

I'd buy a redpillcoin... can we call it the truthcoin?

[–]OptimusFried 1 points1 points1 points 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Plus who would name something after a dumb matrix movie...

[–]Modredpillschool32 points33 points34 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

In order to invest in it, you must first realize there is no coin.

[–]Darkone064 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You should look into Sia coin.

It is the Dropbox of crypto currency. Using the miners hard drive side not just the processor.

You can send and receive files anonymously.

[–]Senior Endorsed Contributormax_peenor4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

none of the women I know are interested.

A good guideline when dealing with women is that if they can't touch something, it doesn't exist. While that can do it, abstract thinking pisses them off...

[–]truedemocracy39 points10 points11 points 8 years ago (30 children) | Copy Link

It's absolutely ridiculous tbh. Only a handful of these currencies (and by handful I mean 1-3) will ever be useful in a commerce environment. The rest is just nonsensical speculation and hype. Awesome if you got in early, not worth the trouble to get in now unless you are investing in the underlying technology

[–]Hammspace9 points10 points11 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You might be right, but that doesn't change reality. You can still make quick money by being ahead of the herd, and getting out before that is obvious to the world. Or you could be wrong and miss out on making more money that most people make doing their jobs. Take a look, do some investing, read use cases, and decide based on experience versus belief.

[–]truedemocracy31 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm not going to buy an asset that has no intrinsic value on the hopes that someone else values it more. I understand crypto currency quite well. Could I be missing out on money by not investing? Sure.

But I am also fine with my returns in real estate and other investments that arent purely speculative.

[–]steggun_cinargo0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

Bitcoin already is, hell you can buy it at a machine down the street here. What's the next two?

[–]jethreezy3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Bitcoin will almost certainly get replaced in the medium-term future (3-5 years would be my speculation). It was a good first attempt. But there are so many altcoins out there with vastly superior technology.

Take IOTA for example, 0 transaction fees because it uses a more efficient verification method which is fundamentally different from the blockchain used by bitcoins and most other cryptos. And that's simply something bitcoin can not feasibly implement at this point.

[–]Freedom__Fighter2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Ethereum is a solid tech and tons of apps are being developed on their network, its a great steady growth long term hold

XRP; Ripple is great, super fast, super cheap transaction fee. Making deals and partnerships with Major Banks, Money Transfer companies and big household name companies.... think “Alexa”, “Siri”. Price went up a lot this past month, expect this coin to go waaaay higher.

TRX; Tron, they are developing a future internet, a web 4.0 basically. coon is still like .20 so you can scoop a lot and make serious gains quickly and for the next year at the least

ADA Cardano. This is a rockstar team made up of literal geniuses. They have a well detailed plan and hitting all of their marks. Cardano is developing THE coin of the future. Expect the price on this one to get completely out of control at some point

I have done really well on these XRP, TRX, ADA and XLM this past month. I read a lot about them and expect them to continue shooting waaay way higher

[–]DieEinfalt 1 points1 points1 points 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

fuck shilling really has taken over all the subreddits. This is getting so bad.

[–]Freedom__Fighter1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Not shilling for these coins, I actually think these have a future, not some pump and dump BS shitcoin like DOGE... Tron could be a pump and dump, but we'll see

[–]Ksral6 points 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Wherever I look, someone is shilling these coins. Tron has a whitepaper with many red flags. The guy who started it has already sold his tokens of tron. XRP is a token that is not necessary, it is only the technology that is interesting. Cardano has no working product yet, only promises and speculations. Most of the cryptospace at this moment is just speculations. If another bullrun for bitcoin comes, many people will be in the reds due to their alt investing. I have investments myself, but hyping Cardano, ripple and tron is just silly.

[–]TheReformist940 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Hes offering advice you ungrateful cunt. You don't have to take it

[–]truedemocracy31 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Bitcoin barely is. In fact less places in the US accept it this year (2017 speaking) than in 2016. No one wants a currency that is so volatile.

Bitcoin cant be both a good investment and a useful currency. It is an impossible balance.

[–]blackedoutfast6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

exactly.

the only people who ever really used BTC for transactions (not just novelty purchases so they could say they used BTC to buy a pizza) are the guys using BTC to buy drugs on the dark web.

after the price of BTC skyrocketed, it became impossible to use for those purposes. the transaction fees were too high and took too long, the price was too volatile, etc. now people are trying to move over to other coins like monero. once the bandwagon jumped on and started using BTC as an investment, it became completely useless as a currency.

[–]Freedom__Fighter1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

bitcoin is slow and the transaction fees are insane

[–]IamJonSnow223 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

bitcoin as a form of payment will become obsolete. However, its new use as digital gold will remain.

[–]sums95 1 points1 points1 points 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

This digital gold is just as valuable as reddit gold

[–]IamJonSnow22 1 points1 points1 points 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

in theory yes, but why is the US dollar worth anything. Its not backed by anything. Its just a green piece of paper where market forces dictate its value. If you create reddit gold though ill def buy some from you.

[–]owowersme0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

You need to do more research. Most of the top 20 coins are and will be useful simply due to incredibly low fees. More will come as well.

[–]truedemocracy3-1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Have done plenty of research. No place takes them or will anytime soon, at least in the U.S. If you think major retailers will take 20+ cyber currencies you are out of your mind.

[–]playingpants1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Most of them arent designed to be accepted at retailers.

[–]truedemocracy30 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Then there is no point of the currency lol

[–]playingpants0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Except for micropayments between machines that the users can then trade for fiat if needed.

You know how AI is coming for our jobs and so many people will be out of an income? Well crypto solves that issue and gets the AI to generate value for us.

[–]truedemocracy30 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Interesting, but still pointless unless the price is stable.

[–]2menshouldhaverights[S] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Have done plenty of research. No place takes them or will anytime soon

Except, microsoft, tesla, expedia, overstock, and thousands of other places. Oh and did I mention ripple is partnered with american express and 100+ international banks?

But of course no one is going to be using cryptocurrencies anytime soon apparently. /s

If you think major retailers will take 20+ cyber currencies you are out of your mind.

This is a very trivial problem. There are already many 3rd party payment processors that can handle this. You send money through this payment processor and they automatically convert it to the receivers preferred currency crypto or fiat. It will be just as easy as making a payment today with a single tap of the card the retailer won't even have to know which currency the customer is paying in.

Arguing that cryptocurrencies will never take off because no one uses them is like arguing the internet won't take off because no one uses it in 1990. Hint: it's a retarded argument.

[–]truedemocracy3-1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Even those-ecommerce sites will only take 1 or 2, as I said. To think they will all of a sudden take the 100+ WORTHLESS currencies is laughable. To think that there is actual value in the vast majority of these currencies is far more retarded of an argument.

[–]owowersme0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

No place takes them or will anytime soon

You haven't done your research lol.

[–]truedemocracy30 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Really? Because less places use crypto currency now than 2 years ago lmao

[–]owowersme0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes really. There are more corporate and bank partnerships.

Yea I was talking about the U.S. It for sure is gaining popularity in Japan and South Korea, but Asia is already a much friendlier market to mobile payments

[–]∞ Mod | RP Vanguardbsutansalt0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link

Which coins in particular?

[–]Darkone061 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Most of them have seen 💯 increases. Look at coin market cap.

Xlm, Verge, vert , dentacoin, dogecoin, ripple XRP, Sia coin, Redd coin and those are just the ones I know for sure did 💯 recently of the top of my head.

[–]∞ Mod | RP Vanguardbsutansalt2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago* (12 children) | Copy Link

XLM? Lost my ass on that one. Verge, started doing okay and then it bombed when the Wraith release was bungled. Dentacoin? Never heard of it. Doge isn't supposed to be taken seriously. XRP? Lost my ass on that one too. Sia? Missed the boat. Redd coin? Never heard of it.

So far everything I've touched turned to shit. I started out like gangbusters making good money on the first couple hundred, but it's been piddly tooth and nail gains around 0.2% - 0.5% ever since with about 60% of my capital locked up with XLM and XRP that's how lost about 1/3rd of their value.

If anyone has tips for making bank with crypto currencies, I'd love to hear them. These 100% gains you speak of? I've never seen them. Not personally yet. Best I've managed was when someone guided me to pick up TRX overnight one day and I got 50% from that, but it wasn't me who did it but rather some guy on Discord who suggested it.

It turns my stomach knowing there's people who regularly kick ass and take names in this shit, whereas I can barely find my own ass with both hands when it comes to trading.

[–]DieEinfalt 1 points1 points1 points 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Don't fucking browse reddit/bitcointalk for that shit, they're all hype and shill. Go to Twitter, type: CryptoCobain, kazenomics, Bitlord, CryptoRogue, Notsofast, SecretsOfCrypto. Look out for some high profile traders.

consider a paid service. I paid 0.5 btc for mine a couple months ago. Best fucking investment of my life.

[–]allabovemoney 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Agreed with paid calls but you overpaid for yours so grossly I'm completely stunned. It's amazing someone would pay THAT much for it. The most expensive I've seen is .1 btc, I've paid .025 btc for mine and it outperformed over a dozen of other channels I was tracking.

[–]allabovemoney 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Wow it takes real skill and intent to lose money in this market. You're truly a shit investor. Read some goddamn whitepapers, test the apps, go on github, and don't be a sheep swallowing whatever the shills throw at you. Don't buy shit that's up 100000000% last month.

If you insist on following the herd and buying hyperinflated coins, then at least figure out which team has their marketing on point and oncoming news.

[–]∞ Mod | RP Vanguardbsutansalt0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

You're truly a shit investor

I was salty last night after struggling on a few bad trades. Woke up this morning and all good. I just needed to stop with the chasing the pack with their high risk stuff as they're more experienced and know what they're doing. Basically I was letting myself get caught up in FOMO.

Now that my head's clear my strategy is to look at the slow boring stuff and set up longer-term trades that take a while to turn over. ARN was my biggie for last night (made about $300 on it just cycling through slow & steady) and WABI and POE are my two today.

Bought in on POE earlier at 20500 ETH and 1240 BTC and have sell orders in for 24000 ETC and 1425 BTC. That's 17% and 14% respectively. And I've got buy orders in for WABI at 295000 ETH and 17225 BTC with the intention of selling at 316000 ETH and 21150 BTC. That'll be 7% and 22% respectively.

Both POE and WABI will take about a few hours to complete their cycles, so I can go out and do stuff and not have to live in front of my computer. When I am in front of the computer, that's when I can scalp 3 or 4% on something like TRX every few minutes when the market is right for that kind of thing.

edit: Dammit they slowed and went bearish. Looks like I'll be getting out early at 22000 on POE ETH for a 7.1% gain and 1350 on POE BTC for 8.5% gain.

[–]allabovemoney 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

ARN is pure PND. Dump asap and never look back. Stop buying shitcoins like this.

Don't know what POE is so can't help you there.

VEN is vastly superior to WABI. No comparison.

Watch bitcoin closely. Convert your altcoins to btc if it starts going parabolic again. High chance we'll see attempts on 20k in very near future.

[–]∞ Mod | RP Vanguardbsutansalt0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm not touching VEN until after the market correction. Could happen any time now.

[–]allabovemoney 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Already happened. This market is on 2x lethal dose of steroids. If you do want in on VEN, wait for btc to go higher and buy in at whatever the price is at the time. It wont go lower than that.

[–]IamJonSnow221 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I highly recommend checking out cryptocurrency on reddit. Sure there are a lot of shills pumping their own interest, but if you read a lot of the posts you can garner which ones are thought highly of and this creates demand in the marketplace. They got me into req and xrb quite early

[–]∞ Mod | RP Vanguardbsutansalt0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm learning, slowly. Tonight I really dove back in and made a couple hundred.

[–]Darkone061 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'll be honest I mostly just hold for the most part but I still slight day trade if I see a good opening.

With crypto currency the most important indicator is candle stick formation.

https://www.babypips.com/learn/forex/japanese-candlesticks-cheat-sheet

Just keep at it.

One more thing I would really look into dropping $20 on dogecoin. Dogecoin isn't just a shit coin anymore it is increasingly being used to transfer money between exchanges since it only cost 1 dogecoin regardless of the amount of dogecoin you transfer and confirmations are under a minute.

I have always been a strong believer in dogecoin since it started. I believe it has huge potential to become in game currency or so other micro tipping potential.

ever since with about 60% of my capital locked up with XLM and XRP that's how lost about 1/3rd of their value.

At this point I'm just holding the ripple because I think I'd rather lose my initial investment I have now than miss the long-term opportunity.

Sure, I could cash out and relieve the risk, but the long term promise is worth more than the relatively small losses.

Granted I got it at 25 cents, and if I sold now I could make some real money, but you know how it goes, don't want to lose my position.

[–]Modredpillschool1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I admit I grabbed hundreds in 2016 and early 2017 (and some in late 2017) thinking maybe one would get big. A short list of the bigger ones I hold:

Monero, Litecoin, Ripple, Doge (because why not), Whitecoin, Lomocoin, Siacoin.

Many of these I got under a penny. Doge has seen explosive growth (bubble though, don't expect long term). It hit $0.018 USD this weekend and I saw my $5 investment top off at $200!

Whitecoin I got at 2 cents, and it's been idling around a quarter.

Ripple I grabbed at 25 cents and it's been between $2 & $3 over the past week.

I really didn't invest much money into each one. I figure if I own a few hundred of every coin when it's small, it doesn't matter if 99% of them tank. I'll own the ones that got big. So far, I'm up quite a bit.

You and your logic, it has no place when discussing women.

They're paid less than men so they have less money to invest, they're shunned from becoming geeky by the patriarchy, driven away from STEM fields, basically discouraged at every turn from being able to learn and become interested in this kind of thing.

Everything I just typed above is in fact, total bollocks. But that's the answer you'll get if you ask why.

I'm just bitter no site ever verified me so I could buy XRP when it was cheap.

That's exactly one of the points I made though. According to feminists women on average have 75% of the income of the average man. So logically you'd expect if women treat investing the same way men do but just lack the capital to make as good of returns, only due to unfair systemic/cultral biases(aka the patriarchy), you would expect women to have 75% of the bitcoin. But it's not even close to that. I wouldn't be surprised if women own less than 5% of all cryptocurrencies. I'm sure that will change as it comes more mainstream but by that time most of the gains will already have been made.

So you can't really explain the skewed distribution of wealth to cultural or systemic gender prejudice because with the case of cryptocurrencies those factors are almost completely removed from the equation. If anything it would suggest there is a systemic based towards men because when all those potential biases are removed men are the ones that make the most.

[–]albus_scirocco8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

According to feminists women on average have 75% of the income of the average man. So logically you'd expect if women treat investing the same way men do but just lack the capital to make as good of returns, only due to unfair systemic/cultral biases(aka the patriarchy), you would expect women to have 75% of the bitcoin

That isn't how math - specifically population distribution - works.

Assuming an equal 50/50 distribution of male/females in a population, if women make only 75% of what men make, then the total wealth of the population would be 1.75 (100% + 75%); .75/1.75 = 42.86%.

So, according to feminists, assuming no barriers, women should own ~43% of bitcoin wealth, men should own ~57% of bitcoin wealth, which would line up with women have 25% less capital to invest then men do.

So, I mean your overall premise isn't invalidated or anything, but saying women should own 75% of the wealth is clearly wrong; if they only make 75% as much as men, they should obviously own less than 50% of the wealth.

Interestingly, in addition to being highly accessible, bitcoin is also preferentially anonymous - that is, no one knows whether someone on the other side is a male or female unless that individual chooses to disclose it.

I would posit it like this: there is a significant gap in the wealth creation value of women as compared to men in an anonymous free market. The wage gap of 25% looks to be held in place due to regulation and social pressures, and represents a massive market inefficiency - left to it's own devices, the free market will favor intrinsically male behaviors almost 9 to 1.

In layman's speech: the 25% wage gap substantially harms consumers - it should be much, much greater.

[–]2menshouldhaverights[S] 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You are right. That was what I was trying to say. Silly mistake on my part.

"For every bitcoin a man owns a women should own 0.75 bitcoin" is what I meant or 43% like you said.

[–]NibblyPig10 points11 points12 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Ah, but if you put forward that argument, you'll get this much cleverer rebuttal:

*Autistic screeching*

I lost a couple of friends recently due to being a bit drunk and arguing something I really shouldn't have spoken about but I took something that was said as a personal slight (since it was), and there was a woman who literally went full meltdown autistic screeching, exactly like you'd imagine someone born with serious autism to act after they were triggered by something.

I got into Bitcoin late (Early December), and started day trading BTC and ETH against alt coins. I have been obsessed with it over the past month, doing it at work and staying up sometimes all night. The girl I am seeing makes fun of me constantly and 'gets annoyed' that I am so interested in Bitcoin. I have exited most of my positions over the past day and I'm currently up $72,000 in one month of trading. (to be clear I put 100k in and now have 172k so I didnt start with pennies, but it took balls and probably 100+ hours of focused attention). She will struggle to make 40k this year. I calmly explained to her that if she focused her attention on things that can bring her more money, and not gossip with her friends, snapchat, celebrity worship, and shopping - she will have more income and face less money problems. I got a defensive hamster wheel excuse of an answer. I also got the 'your just smart' answer when in reality I knew little of what I was doing I just went for it, put all my effort in, and got a little lucky. I would imagine most girls would give the same response.

I occasionally swing trade volatility or stocks for the past 4 years. I have never fucked with forex. I watch the candles and stuff but I trade on feel, which is stupid but its working here. I have made money day trading every year but not much (about 10% of my work salary). I find for me, its a combination of balls, low ego, focused attention (reading everything), and intuition. The balls come in when the bottom falls out and everyone is freaking out and you are buying and not selling. Also I dont plan on doing it for a living so its easier for me to walk away from a trade and wait. I have made 40 trades in a week, and then not made a trade for 2 months. If I did it for a job, I fear I would be 'chasing' constantly.

The issue here is much bigger than Bitcoin. If you tell women about any Black Swan Event then categorically 95% of women will not give a fuck while most men will pay attention out of a basic curiosity for something different.

Before Bitcoin there was the 90's Internet bubble. How many women gave a fuck about hearing about Google in 1997. Before that there was the personal computer revolution. How many women cared about Steve Jobs theory when he was tinkering in the garage?

We could take this idea as far back as we want and the dynamics would still be identical. When Galileo looked to the stars and realized that the solar system was geocentric and not Helio centric, what do you think all the women said?

Well whatever they said it probably sounded like their reaction to your Bitcoin explanation 2 years ago. Not only are women uncreative they are anti-creative. Women queef on any new original revolutionary idea almost universally. That's why the more female anything is the more stagnant it becomes. That's why intellectual properties like Star Wars and Ghost Buster's are being vandalised and run into the ground. Women are anti-creative our ancestors knew this relegated them to childrearing and sandwich making.

Our biggest mistake was thinking our forefathers were wrong.

BobSutan's Razor:

Men are the overwhelming majority of trailblazers and risk takers until a certain level of safety and comfort is reached. Once this level of risk is offset by a number of Chad's who've prevailed, it's at that point women will begin jumping on the bandwagon.

Once female participation reaches a particular level, the activity becomes socially acceptable to talk about and engage in openly. For example, 2017 was the year of conservative female youtubers following in the footsteps of hundreds of guys who've come before that you probably never heard of.

Apparently nobody has considered the fact that most women don't understand Bitcoin, or even money for that matter. Now, don't get me wrong, most men don't either, but many men do. This is the same pattern we see in every aspect of life, of course. I bought BTC years ago because I actually understood it and understood why it could change the world. Turns out I was right (and that's not a brag, I wasn't smart enough to put a lot of money into it).

I've not met a single woman ever who really understands issues of security or cryptography. I honestly think they do not exist. I don't know why. Again, most men don't either, but all the ones that do are men.

[–]WhorehouseVet0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Women aren't as interested as making money as men.

[–]mrcs84usn5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think the fact that women like to avoid taking risks has a big impact on this. It's also why you don't see a whole lot of women in the stock market. Additionally, just getting everything set up is juuuuust complicated/tedious enough that I think plenty of women (and men for that matter) wouldn't want to go through that hassle.

Ontop of all of this, women have the luxury of just finding successful men to do all the hard work for them. They just reap the benefits.

I have a theory that organizations like the NSA are developing quantum computers with enough power to shred the common encryption now like Bitcoin (and current RSA public-private key algorithms). There are a lot of abandoned Bitcoins and if the NSA has a computer with enough qubits then it could easily break the encryption of those coins and then resign them with their key (on the block chain). Its already known that current algorithms are relatively weak to quantum computing but they still aren't publicly known to be trivially weak. There are other known algorithms which can protect against quantum computing much better but the algorithms are much more computationally expensive for normal operations using normal CPUs and due to this they are undesirable (and not commonly used).

So where am I going with this? If a clandestine organization could gain control of the lost Bitcoins (lost the key) then they would be in a position to eventually have near infinite funding on a level that would dwarf the budgets of today. It is predicted that over a long period of time that Bitcoin will eventually reach into the millions of dollars per unit and I think that this is quite likely due to the deflationary nature of the currency and the huge momentum that it has. There are only so many coins that can be mined and its increasingly more difficult to mine them. If someone could ever recover those lost coins then it would be very easy to spend them off over a long period of time without anyone noticing. We don't exactly known which coins are lost and which are just being held by early strong hands. Additionally if the original creators still have access to the large number of "lost" coins then it would be a level of wealth that could create a rogue state. Think of something between the movies Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation and Swordfish.

It's not an algorithm. It's a Block chain. Stop writing fan fiction and read about it.

[–]destraht0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

It's not an algorithm.

HAAHAHAHAA.

So if I steal your key or can reverse engineer it then I can't just resign "your" coins as having been transfered to me? Thought so, bitch. SHUT THE FUCK UP!

[–]Gotmilkyy0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

How do you plan on getting someone's private key or "reverse engineering".

Good luck buddy

[–]destraht0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Many people have already been hacked and lost all of their Bitcoins. Go back to being a 21 year old and we'll talk in 5-10 years.

[–]Gotmilkyy0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Lmao, keep checking my post history. You reek of everything this sub is against.

Being scared of risk will have you hating your life working away at a job you hate the rest of your life. Sounds like that's already you though. I know what I'm doing bud don't worry about me.

Women are notoriously risk adverse both in business and in investing. Because of this, women often actually do better managing an investment portfolio than men (who trade more and get killed on transaction fees). World of finance is dominated by men, especially the big players.

If you look at who benefits the most on gains of any speculative investment it will always be men. I wouldnt read too much into this or the fact that it's bitcoin.

I also wouldnt invest too much in Cryptocurrency either. But that's just me.

[–]owowersme5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You'll regret that years from now.

[–]truedemocracy31 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Maybe I will. Maybe I wont. I'm making my money work for me in other ways and am fine with that. Can definitely be wrong on cryptocurrency. But don't think so.

If it does take off it wont be in the wild west of dozens of different currencies, should be illegal ICOs, etc. that there are today. All that stuff will be useless one day and that I am 100% confident in. Only a few of the currencies will remain useful.

[–]2dogsandpizza0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I’m gonna call bullshit on that first paragraph. Good investing isn’t just taking the least risky options all the time.

[–]truedemocracy30 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's not about risk. If you have a woman and a man both saving for retirement, the woman is invested in a index tracking ETF and the man is day trading trying to get an edge then the woman will almost always win in the long run. Especially if the guy isn't an insider or has access to advance tools (aka just watches CNBC, maybe chats on the investing subreddit, buys stocks of companies he knows about like Starbucks/WalMart/etc.).

You can call bullshit on it all you want. Hard truths cut both ways. Men are much less risk adverse and much more competitive. Some will succeed because of this beyond the vast majority of anything women will do financially. Others will suffer. When it comes to investing even if the men perform similarly or slightly better than the women they will still lose because of transaction fees.

[–]1ozaku73 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The main difference is that men work hard for their carreers, they dare to take risks, be dominant, leading and go for that raise they deserve. Women on the other hand just want to play it safe, have not so much ambition as men and don't care so much about the success of the company. They expect that they can leach off the success of men by yelling "discrimination" when they don't get something they want but don't deserve.

Not enough information to be honest.

To get into cryptocurrency without someone telling you exactly what it is, why it's good, or how to use it, You'd most likely have to be someone who's good with computers and understand technology in general, which is a male dominated area of expertise.

This alone will make cryptocurrencies male dominated as it derived from an already male dominated area.

or you could have just came on reddit and saw people talking about bitcoin.

5 years ago when i heard and invested i knew a dude who looked at pics from Reddit of people using hundreds of GPU cards to mine. This dude said "i dont get it....why do you need to use all of those fans?"

I was like "wtf!!! hahaha " and then explained to him why gpu cards have fans on them.

Head on over to GirlsGoneBitcoin for the female contribution to the crypto phenomenon lol

[–]HS-Thompson4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Every generation has another "no this time the gains are permanent and the only mistake is to sit out" financial bubble where all but a very early few lose their ass.

By the time you're an old guy like me you'll have seen at least half a dozen of them. They come and go like the weather. This topic literally has nothing to do with sexual strategy for men.

[–]slutnip5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Bitcoin is one of the most truly free market assets that has ever been created.

Not really, if you see the world from a "true" red pill context (well beyond male/female sexual interdynamics), bitcoin is a distraction from what the world should actually be. It calms down a lot of people and gives them a sense of false hope. The Rothschild buy into it, boom it skyrockets 100s of percents. Most people dont realize that they are enslaved by the babylonian money system and bitcoin (paper) millionaires can be quashed overnight if they want to. Its tertiary wealth

[–]Domida 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

eh false hope? theres nothing false about it. I invested $300 when I first got into bitcoin, and put $40,000 in my account before the crash (excluding fee). Theres nothing false about it

[–]RememberWhenEye2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Bitcoin will go the way of 3d printing. People were very excited about its possibilities and time taught us there really weren't any.

In a year or so if crypto is around in its present state volume will dry up and you'll see the new inexperienced traders chasing the same nickle down the street. This all dies when the new all time highs stop printing and everyone doubling their money every month realize moves are in the single digits.

In maturity bitcoin dies

[–]Hillarysdilddo_20164 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]edmg 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You mean, making rocket engines and rapidly taking over production of aviation parts?

[–]drkinferno721 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They're already working on eliminating or banning bitcoin

Thank god I still have my piece lol

[–]theWindOfTruth1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Very good post. I discussed it with my sister (obviously not mentioning TRP), and of course... it had nothing to do with differences between sexes, but with the fact that men are over represented in STEM.

It baffles me how time and time again, they always bring it to the 2 or 3 feminist "hard points".

As with everything else...wait until it gets successful and comfy and then it will "be unfair there is no equal representation". Much like STEM fields that were "for nerds" and "for losers" and then as the branch soared suddenly it had to be "equal".

[–]TRPAndNofapGotMeLaid 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

When TRP talks about Bitcoin it is time to sell. I have seen this talked about everywere, from fashion youtube channels to my hairdresser. Brb

[–]2menshouldhaverights[S] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I personally don't own bitcoin. But I thought it was an interesting observation that the gender distribution is so skewed.

[–]rockmasterflex2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"understanding the technology"... you mean understanding how pyramid schemes work?

Cryptos are a pure game of speculation. The people who got in before you are the winners. Someone will be left holding the bag, it might be you. It might not be you. Shorting is the way of life.

You need to know NOTHING about the underlying technology to make money on bitcoin.

I know of one HB8 who has invested in crypto, but she is my cousin-in-law from Tunisia. Many European countries seem to put a higher emphasis on education so I'm not surprised that this girl is "woke", so to speak.

[–]ElectricPB0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

What do European countries have to do with Tunisia?

[–]hodlsallthecrypt0 1 points1 points1 points 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Tunisia is generally just considered European due to geographical proximity as well as close economic/political ties with France and Italy AFAIK.

[–]PM_ME_BIG_DUCK_PICS0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

European here, Tunisia is African

[–]red_pablo 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not an experiment. More like an observational study, but I shy from even calling it that.

No, many capital markets are gender skewed, simply because men earn the money and women spend it. That is about the least innovative thing about Bitcoin. The main difference between gold and Bitcoin in this regard is that you can't make jewelry out of Bitcoin.

[–]PM_ME_UR_TECHNO_GRRL0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's not like these are news. It has been known for many years that women don't fare on the trade floor as well as men, not because they do not have access, but because they cannot hack it when there. Investment banks have massive drives to hire women, but they just do not hack it. New evidence won't address mental gymnastics.

I dropped 150 bucks and made 1k already. Just starting out too.

My female friend (I love her like a sis) refuses to jump in.

Any tips on coins to look out for?

Ideally ones that are lower priced with a big upside potential?

Even my GF with a PhD in STEM won't event touch Bitcoin. And we do talk about it a lot.

She was, however, very impressed when I mentioned that I went into Bitcoin when it was still cheap.

Anecdotically, the only girl that I know that it is very invested into Bitcoin behaves like a male in every way. We had sex.

[–]bigcitytruth0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Remember, kids: your bitcoin investment is only worth whatever it's value is on the moment you cash out. Use this knowledge wisely.
