Being short is unfortunate because it is undeniable that height has a very large input into your SMV. You're never going to reach supermodel levels of attractiveness if you're 5'6". That's a RP truth.

However, it seems that any time good advice is given, most recently in the NYC Cat Calling thread, "yeah but it only works if you're tall" has to be the sentiment of the most upvoted response. Why is this getting upvoted? It serves absolutely no purpose.

We KNOW that being tall gives you a higher SMV than being short. But when someone gives advice, when someone makes a point about areas of SMV that you can change, that advice should be taken on board and put into action.

If lifting is going to increase your SMV. You start lifting.

If an dressing nicer is going to increase your SMV. You start dressing nicer.

You don't respond to RP advice by complaining "YEAH BUT I'LL NEVER HAVE AS HIGH A SMV AS THAT GUY BECAUSE HE'S 6'3"."

You're right. You probably never will get all the girls that "that guy" does.

But there is nothing you can do about that.

So stop complaining. Stop wallowing in self pity. And go and work on the things that you do have control over. Because there's a shorter guy than you out there right now with twice your SMV.
