Let’s say you started dating a new guy/girl, but you haven’t had sex yet. How long would you wait before you call it quits? Let’s say from the beginning they say that they’re waiting to have sex until a certain amount of time in a relationship, would that make you more or less likely to consider pursuing that relationship? If so, how long would you be okay with waiting for?

Both men and women, and please include N-count.

As a woman, I feel like men and women with less partners (<3) would be willing to wait longer. I’m not sure though on the other hand, because I feel like having an N-count in the double digits (20+) is seen as a norm and people with a low n-count may be viewed differently especially when it comes to gender.

Edit: specification. Sex here is only referring to PIV and anal, everything else is on the table.

Update: I asked because it seems like within my generation when it comes to dating, sex is an automatic thing and it’s extremely casual. By all means, there’s nothing wrong with that and it shouldn’t be stigmatized but sex is important to me and it’s not a casual thing for me in the least. I’d rather give my sexual energy to a person that I know genuinely likes me and is considering me for the long haul, instead of someone that wants to ‘test drive’ me. A proper sex life is something that needs to grow and adapt regardless and can be built later on, a firm relationship isn’t as easy.
