My friend and I are alike in almost every way (well-educated, UMC, similar friends groups, overachievers, went to the same college, similar attractiveness, etc), except in the types of men we pick.

Redpill would look at her male choices and say she trying to marry Chad. She's dated a guy for ten years that treats her extremely badly. He kicks her out of their house regularly, cheats on her, berates her, etc. Its a horrible relationship. But she confided in me she'd rather be a single mom and have his baby, then date another man. Yikes, yes!

And he's not Chad. He's a loser at least for our friends circle. He's short 5'6, unmuscular, ugly, dumb. He's trying to become a general practitioner (doctor), but took 3 years to get into residency from med school because his scores were so low. He currently is 33, but has 150k in debt and still has 3 years to go before he can earn like 180k (not a great salary for the coastal city they live in). She has a middling job.

In comparison, my husband earns substantially more (300-350k a year), is similarly educated, 6 feet +, nicer, etc. I'm a SAHM. My parents were similar and very happy. I love my husband and feel like I'm the luckiest girl in the world. He's a nice guy (actually a nice person) and the only guy I ever want to be with.

The only difference between us is that she grew up in an abusive household. He father used to beat her mother on the regular. She vividly remembers how her mom used to run back to her dad even with all the abuse. Eventually, her dad left her mom for another woman.

I don't think women want Chad. Women who grew up in abusive homes are more likely to want abusive men and 1 in 3 or 4 women gets abused. They just want a man similar to their fathers, which is the sad part. Man, particularly shitty men and bad fathers, are responsible for the female desire for abusive.

Edit: Women can decide to actively search for another type of man if they did not like their mother's choices. But this is extremely difficult and lacks tingles are TRP so aptly put. However, this is an active decision. Default is mom's choice.
